Question: Is the local baroness somehow connected to Vasil? I am pretty sure, I have seen her before in his company (?). Or at least during a scene, where V. was present as well. But I was unable to find the correct chapter and check.

Well they are running an area that is drowning in the plague that I showed in the first entry. So yeah, they certainly lost control.

She's not supposed to be connected in a lore way, but it's possible that she was at some point in the same frame as Vasil. 

Vasil and her are both from the same mod, a vampire follower pack that I have installed for many years, so it's possible that I used them together. But as said, a lore connection is not intended.

I realized as much a while ago. The name Karlov and Vasil's face are quite easy to recognize after all. However, I think you had her on screen during at least one of the gatherings of nobles, that we have seen so far. Unfortunately, that doesn't narrow it down much. In any case, it's no big issue. And of course: Wonderful work, as usual. I guess, I was so busy playing detective, that I didn't mention it earlier.?

I have a feeling something going very wrong with this pluge and blood magic resarch that Nora discovered.... somehow the two thing connected.

also vers strange this realm full of chaos and local barones of highrock seems doing nothing about it. Feels very strange. Vampires depend on mortals, no mortals nothing to eat... so smarter vampires probably try keep human population alive not letting die. ( maybe my thinking wrong some point. pls fix me if i wrong! )

Another excellent entry! This is becoming one of my favorite chapters. Really great character introductions and plot progression with a growing mystery. I do appreciate how this chapter is building more off the previous one than most of the earlier chapters have done. Great work!

Might have been the vampire assembly in Chapter 4, completely forgot about that, but yeah, I think I included her their.

The baroness is getting in trouble because their are ferals roaming her lands uncontested draw to her lands because of the plague and chaos in general.

It would be her job to take care of them, similar to what Nora did in the first section of this chapter.

There is certainly more of a continuous narrative now I agree. Usually I'm hesitant to commit to very long storylines as they take years and I don't want to commit myself to something that long. 

This time things went out of hand and this and the next chapter will deal more or less with the High Rock storyline. However there is still a lot of setup done in previous chapters for the story told now. For example a lot of the characters appearing in Thomas' storyline at the Queens court are based on characters introduced in chapter 4 and build up in later chapters.

Thank you!  Glad you enjoyed the entry, this was the lesbian sex I told you about half a year ago. Section 5 of this chapter will have some too  .

Bingo. Thanks for checking and letting me know. Odd, that I remembered this one, since she doesn't seem to play any noteworthy role in this meeting whatsoever. I take it, the different eyecolor is due to the technical reasons you mentioned in an earlier reply to one of my comments.

Great entry indeed, particularly on the story side, with the resuming of the ever going vampire's games of power. Seeing the baroness' son rebel against that, and being punished by his own mother for his imprudence could only let us imagine the what's at stake (literally ^^). And as usual, Nora played with those fears gracefully. I'm not convinced she will grant Sophie's wish the way she envisioned it, yet the human was clever enough not to spill the beans too early. We will see. The sex scene however, while nicely done, felt somewhat added, as it was completely unforeseen that they would share a mutual attraction. Yet, contents have to be steady I suppose. Anyway, the posing and undressing edits on that scene were excellent. Great entry ! ?

Yeah, not sure what happened with the eyes, could be her sister as there are 4 Karlov followers.

Thanks, also I wanted to show that Nora wields some power in the system and her opinion matters. Despite her Baroness role she's still usually the underdog as it makes for better stories.

Ah, I've finally gotten some time to sit down and properly re-read the whole chapter. You know, I never get tired of your nighttime shots, especially with Nora on her red-eyed horse. There's something so mystical and at the same time foreboding in them.  You really do a great job of setting up the atmosphere. ?

I greatly enjoyed the dialogues in this chapter. The whole exchange with Baroness Badine was excellent.  Especially her insistence that Victor meant no offense.  It really showed that they would rather stay on Nora's good side and not have her report anything to the Duchess.  And I love just a touch of humor (and manipulation, of course) coming from Nora.  "I'm going to need some ink for the letter to the Duchess"  - "You may have her for a day." - " Thank you, then no ink"  ? This was my absolute favorite part.

It might just be the setting and the name, but somehow the Baroness reminds me of Elizabeth Bathory. ? Granted, she's already a vampire and thus immortal, but it feels like there are quite a few secrets hidden in that castle.  I wonder whether Nora might find herself in trouble once she starts digging deeper.

And of course the second part was very sensual, beautiful and at the same time quite sad.  Somehow it doesn't feel like Sophie will get out of this alive.

Looking forward to finding out what happens next.
