    A new area of Summer City to explore. You can stroll the streets and piers of The Wharf. Shop the many shops. There are both day time and night time options. Come play at The Wharf!
     
    Going forward, The Wharf will require the "Clone Wars" genderswapping framework for use in any of its gender swapping scenes.

    This is a work-in-progress... 
     
    Implemented:
    - Games: I've implemented Slots (one 3-reel, one 4-reel, one 5-reel, one 5x3), Baccarat (two variants), Roulette, and Hold'em (two variants). 
    - Jobs: There are currently four jobs implemented.
    - Bad Endings: There are thirteen soft bad-endings currently
    - Front- and Back-of-House provide different playstyles
    - Achievements: Over 40 and counting...
     
    It's functional, reasonably stable but far from feature complete; eg few story elements and such.  I would love to get some feedback on the general idea and some extra play-testing would be awesome.
     
    This is designed by myself and coded with help from Gemini, I'd like to think about half and half I always have my audio off so there's no audio for now Images and much of the dialogue is written by Gemini There might be an extra, more recent media file available for preview builds; 0.0.4c is the current one required

    Adds Pill Poppa, Summer City's home for third-party pills, drugs, supplements, and questionable pharmaceutical alternatives.

    Knockoff Pharmacy
    For X-Change Life 0.25.9
     
    Knockoff Pharmacy adds a new store to Paradise Mall called Pill Poppa.
    The X-Change Pharmacy sells official X-Change products.
    Pill Poppa sells...pretty much everything else.
    Third-party transformation pills, gray-market drugs, sexual-performance products, specialist treatments, experimental supplements, and other products that don't belong on an official X-Change shelf can use Pill Poppa as their retail location.
     
    Knockoff Pharmacy does not add those products by itself.
     
    What appears in the store depends on the compatible pills, drugs, and other mods you have installed.
     
    Requirements
    Install both:
    U666 Knockoff Pharmacy v0.7.1
    Knockoff Pharmacy MEDIA v0.6.1
    The Media package is required.
    Drug Framework 4 is not required merely to add Pill Poppa to the mall, but it is required for Pill Poppa's DF4 drug and supplement aisles.
     
    What's New About Pill Poppa?
    Older versions of Knockoff Pharmacy were essentially a location that individual mods patched their products into.
    The current version has its own retail system.
    Compatible products can now supply their information to Pill Poppa and let the store handle the presentation.
    Depending on what you have installed, the store may contain separate aisles for things such as:
    Sexual Wellness & Performance
    Body & Appearance
    Mood & Behavior
    Focus & Performance
    Fertility & Reproductive Health
    Transformation Support & Extenders
    Treatment & Recovery
    Nano Treatment & Recovery
    Specialty Products
    Transformation pills have their own section as well.
     
    Drug Framework 4 Integration
    Pill Poppa has direct support for Drug Framework 4.
    Compatible DF4 drugs that are registered for normal retail sale are discovered automatically and placed into an appropriate Pill Poppa aisle.
    You no longer need a separate Knockoff Pharmacy patch for every DF4 drug.
    Drug Framework remains responsible for the actual product, including information such as:
    product name;
    manufacturer;
    description;
    price;
    category;
    inventory behavior;
    normal stock;
    stock availability.
    Pill Poppa handles the retail presentation.
    Not Everything Is Publicly Sold
    The store also respects products that are deliberately not intended for ordinary retail.
    A DF4 product can be installed without appearing on Pill Poppa's public shelves.
    This is used for things such as:
    story-only drugs;
    hidden products;
    under-the-counter products;
    products reserved for special scenarios.
    Installing a drug therefore does not guarantee that it will appear for ordinary purchase.
    That's intentional.
     
    Stock and Merchandising
    Pill Poppa now supports more than a static list of products.
    Compatible products can have:
    daily stock;
    limited availability;
    products that occasionally sell out;
    sale prices;
    promotional discounts;
    featured products;
    advertisements;
    special requirement notes.
    A product may therefore be installed correctly but temporarily out of stock.
    Check back another day.
     
    Transformation Pills
    Non-X-Change transformation pills can also register themselves with Pill Poppa.
    Compatible pills can provide their own:
    product name;
    manufacturer;
    description;
    price;
    stock rules;
    retail classification;

    Third-party pill mods can use the same system.
    Pill Poppa does not own the pill's transformation mechanics. It provides the store and shopping interface; the pill mod remains responsible for what happens when the product is used.
     
    U666 Drugs
    Pill Poppa is the recommended retail location for the U666 Drugs collection.
    When Drug Framework 4 and compatible drugs are installed, Pill Poppa automatically organizes the products into appropriate sections rather than dumping every non-X-Change drug into one generic pharmacy list.
    Without Knockoff Pharmacy, Drug Framework can still provide its own fallback retail access through the regular X-Change Pharmacy.
    So Knockoff Pharmacy is recommended, not required, for ordinary DF4 drug use.
     
    Pill Diagnostic Kiosk
    The Pill Diagnostic Kiosk has built-in Knockoff Pharmacy support.
    If Pill Poppa is installed, the diagnostic service is moved from the X-Change Pharmacy to Pill Poppa.
    No compatibility patch is required.
     
    Spike Fun
    Base Spike Fun does not require Knockoff Pharmacy.
    Compatible Spike Fun products and payloads can use Pill Poppa when appropriate.
    However, some optional Spike Fun story modules do require the store:

    Those modules add authored content that takes place in or depends on Pill Poppa.

    The Media package is an .xcl package and should be installed as-is rather than unpacked.
    After installation, Pill Poppa will appear as a location in Paradise Mall.
    The inventory available there depends on your other installed mods.
     
    For Modders
    Pill Poppa is intended to be a shared retail location for third-party pharmaceutical content.
    Drug Framework 4 Drugs
    If your product is a normal DF4 drug, you generally do not need to write a separate Knockoff Pharmacy patch.
    Register the product normally with Drug Framework and mark it as an ordinary drug-store product.
    For example, a typical DF4 registration may contain information such as:
    "display_name", "ExampleDrug™", "vendor", "ExampleCorp", "category", "mood", "price", 75, "stock", 2, "stock_chance", 80, "shop", "drug" When Pill Poppa is installed, it can discover that product and place it into its retail catalog automatically.
    If you use another shop classification such as a hidden or scenario-only product, Pill Poppa will not expose it as normal public merchandise.

    A product can optionally provide additional Pill Poppa-specific presentation through a passage tagged:
    [pp_retail_product] This can be used to supply or override things such as:

    requirement notes.
    A simple DF4 product extension might look like:

    Corinthian is a new location for XCL. This is basically two very different jobs in one both at the Corinthian hotel. You start as an ordinary hotel worker but there are promotions available. Including a whole new way of employing Bar Girls. There is a mod option to unlock both jobs from the start but for the first playthrough it is recommended to play through normally.
     
     
    FAQ:
     
    Why are there two files?
    The Corinthian file is all you need to play. However the Additional Events file (Corinthian AE) adds a lot of variety and new events/missions. They are split in two so that an update of the basegame does not require everyone to download all those media files again.
     
    Are there any known conflicts with other mods?
    No. (However mods that override stuff from the basegame might cause errors.)
     
    Will other mods work well with this mod?
    Yes. especially Bar girls will work will and add a lot of variety to especially the night job at the Corinthian. "Any job" mod is also supported.
     
    Can I play this in my old save?
    Yes. Although you might have to wait a day until the locations appear. Corinthian is 99% new stuff so shouldn't interfere with any other thing.
     
    Do I need any other mods to play this?
    No, it is entirely self-contained.
     
    How do I start this mod?
    It should start on its own. You can select the Corinthian during the daily planning with the 🏨 (hotel) icon. If you load a save or use the option to unlock night right away you might have to wait a day until you see the option to go to the Corinthian.
     
    Why do I get an error when adding this mod to the modloader?
    You need to update your modloader to the latest version and then re-add the mod into the modloader.

    There are passage tags in the code that can be listened to but the other main way I expect modding to come here is to add more missions and events.
     
    How to write a mission for Corinthian nights:
    Make a new twee file.
    Needs to contain 5 passages:

    corinthian add missions [around]
     
    X is the id you define in "corinthian add missions" where you have to make a dm containing all the various variables that the mod need.

    The 3 first are relatively simple as they simply contain text that the mod will show at various points. Please keep title and short description relatively short.

    Resolution should start with (display: "cor calculate mission success") and end with (display:"cor night mission reward"). This is were the result of the job is presented and you can check $currentmissionstate for the result of the job.

    This is an unofficial maintenance version of Emporium 0.6.9, intended to keep Morgan Flux’s original mod working properly with current versions of X-Change Life.
    I am not taking over Emporium or presenting this as a new official version. The goal here is preservation, compatibility, and bug fixing while leaving the original gameplay and writing largely intact.

    ⚠️ Important: Two Downloads Are Required
    The maintained Emporium package is now distributed separately from its media.
    You need BOTH:
    Emporium 0.6.9+ unofficial — the maintained code package
    Emporium Media — the attached media package
    Install both through the XCL Mod Loader.
    The code package by itself does not contain Emporium's images/media. If you install only the maintenance package, the mod may run, but its media will be missing.
    What Is Different About This Version?
    This is primarily a compatibility and bug-hardening release, not a content overhaul.
    The underlying Emporium remains Morgan Flux’s original 0.6.9 mod. I have tried to fix things that have broken or become outdated as X-Change Life has continued to develop without unnecessarily changing Morgan's scenes, mechanics, or writing.
    The maintained version has been tested against:
    X-Change Life 0.25.9
    Mod Loader 2.7.1
    Major Maintenance Work
    Restored a complete Emporium package
    The maintained release includes the complete Emporium 0.6.9 codebase rather than only the handful of files that had previously received compatibility edits.
    That currently consists of 43 Twee files and 7 JavaScript files, preserving the original systems and helper code required by Emporium.
    Fixed a broken Becky check-up route
    One of Becky's check-up scenes attempted to display a passage called Emporium Check-up Image which does not actually exist.
    The scene already had a working image/small-talk system, so the dead call has been removed rather than inventing replacement behavior.
    Fixed the passive kiss refusal option
    There was already a complete reaction for refusing a passive kiss, but the visible Say no option never actually selected the refusal branch.
    The existing refusal response can now be reached as originally intended.
    Updated some outdated screen-navigation calls
    Several straightforward Emporium session routes were still going through an older XCL compatibility passage. These have been updated to use the current screen-changing system directly where doing so was safe.
    More complicated legacy calls inside old minigames and sex flows have deliberately been left alone where XCL still provides compatibility support rather than changing working code without a reason.
    Updated Eye Contact integration
    Older Emporium code referenced the deprecated eye contact alert box implementation.
    The maintained version uses the current XCL Eye Contact Game integration instead.
    Initialization and update hardening
    Several older assumptions around initialization have been made safer, including:
    safer lookup of John during initialization/update;
    appointment metadata cleanup;
    protection against duplicate/booked-day appointment problems;
    more robust player-facing defaults and update handling.
    There is also a small inherited tag typo fix (seflfish → selfish).
    Updated creampie handling for modern XCL
    Emporium contained older copied versions of XCL's sex/creampie logic. Modern XCL has since added and changed a significant amount of bookkeeping around these scenes.
    Emporium's local handling has been refreshed so that it preserves current XCL behavior rather than silently skipping newer mechanics.
    This includes current handling associated with things such as pregnancy attribution, stats and side effects, Breeder interactions, nanobot behavior, cumshot calculations, and other modern XCL hooks.
    Creampie Overhaul 0.0.6c compatibility
    Emporium's optional Creampie Overhaul support has also been repaired locally.
    When Creampie Overhaul 0.0.6c is installed, Emporium preserves its presentation features while using updated Emporium/XCL-compatible gameplay calculations underneath.
    This repair is scoped to Emporium scenes; it does not rewrite Creampie Overhaul globally.
    What Has NOT Changed?
    This maintenance release is intentionally conservative.
    It is not intended to:
    rewrite Morgan Flux's story or dialogue;
    redesign John, Becky, therapy, hypnosis, debt, or resistance mechanics;
    add large amounts of new content;
    finish abandoned/WIP Emporium storylines;
    turn Emporium into my own version of the concept.
    More substantial or opinionated changes belong in separate add-ons rather than being quietly folded into the maintenance release.
    Known Original/WIP Material
    The original 0.6.9 source contains a few unfinished or dormant systems, including portions of:
    Becky's planned home-visit content;
    John's unfinished night-return/debt event;
    an older unused bedroom-sex route.
    These paths were already unfinished in the original mod and are normally disabled or unreachable in regular play. I have documented them rather than inventing Morgan's missing content.
    If one of these old WIP systems is manually re-enabled, missing passages may still be encountered.
    Compatibility
    The maintained package retains Emporium's existing optional integrations, including support/order declarations for mods such as:

    Some integrations require particular versions. The Mod Loader metadata included with the download contains the package's current compatibility declarations.
    My direct maintenance testing has primarily targeted XCL 0.25.9 with Mod Loader 2.7.1. That should not be taken as a promise that every possible combination of Emporium, XCL, and third-party mods has been exhaustively tested.
    Installation
    Download Emporium 0.6.9+ unofficial.
    Download the separate Emporium Media package attached to this release.
    Add/install both packages using the XCL Mod Loader.
    Apply your mods and launch X-Change Life normally.
    Do not unzip the packages before adding them to the Mod Loader unless your particular installation workflow specifically requires it.
    If you're upgrading from an older Emporium installation, make sure you are not accidentally loading both the old Emporium code package and this maintenance version at the same time.

      Walking between areas is a real loiter step (events/catcalls/encounters can fire), each area has its own flavor-line bank, and leaving a store puts you back in the wing the store lives in, not at the entrance.

    No interior shop passages are touched so no interferance with any base game or modded shops.
     
    New modder hooks: registry parents mall_west_lower / mall_west_upper / mall_east_lower / mall_east_upper plus matching *_options passage tags, and $pmx_area for scoping.

    The common question is : Can it run doom? Now with this, XCL can! Doom has always been my number 1 game of all time and i still play it to this day. The community maps are just so good.   Alice Doom Arcade is now open at the mall for you to have fun.   This mod is based on a WebAssembly build of Chocolate Doom. This means pure vanilla doom. I forked it because it's VERY old and made it more lightweight and added interaction with xcl possible.   There's a chance stepsis tag along with you when going to the arcade which is the where the interaction between doom and xcl shines ^^   WARNING : YOU MUST RUN XCL WITH A WEBSERVER (Using Run in the mod loader for example)   Just launching the html file will not work because of modern browser security features.   ## Installation   For copyright reasons i cannot bundle the original doom WAD. For this reason you can load only ONE of the Data file here to either play Freedoom episode 1 or the episode 2.   WARNING : ONLY ONE DATA MOD CAN BE ENABLED. DO NOT ENABLE MORE THAN 1!!!!!   The other commercial versions (Doom, Doom II, Plutonia, TNT) pack have a placeholder file for the WAD.
