This and the next entire were originally split into three different sections, but I decided to sum them up into two sections because they were all relative short. You clearly see were the cut between the three entries would have been.
Thanks for reading If you enjoyed this part it have a look at my Tumblr.

Now about the ENB Problem I was talking about earlier.
I've been using the Grim and Somber - Hircine ENB for quiet a while know and I am really happy with it.
The problem is that I never got the depth of field of the ENB to work, the rest of the ENB works fine as you can see in all of my screenshots.
I've spend a fair amount of time this week trying to get depth of field running without any success.
I've tried the wrapper and injector version without any luck and tried different ENBs like Snapdragon Prime or RealVision as well.
The typical ini errors like

bFloatPointRenderTarget=1
iMultiSample=0
bFloatingPointTarget=1

are set.
Does anyone of you have any idea what could be wrong? I'd be really thankful for any kind of advice. I'm using an Alienware 17 with an GTX Geforce 880M graphics card
and an integrated Intel HD 4600 graphics card. The ENB and Skyrim definitely use the 880M but when I start Skyrim the ENB window in the top left corner always says HD 4600
which seems to be a common issue with two graphic cards.

Wow, I am lost for words, this chapter was one of your best ever. Wow the action scenes, the screenshots all was great. Poor Nora, cant catch a break huh haha.

What mod did u use for the Dawnguard Prison, could be useful for me later

Very cool chapter! Things are definitely spicing up. I don't know if I want to root for the "good" or the "evil" side - but the Dawnguard in this story remain to have more of them seen before then. :)

On the ENB and DoF:

1. This one might be a bit of obvious; Is EnableDepthOfField=true in your enbseries.ini?
2. What is sD3DDevice= set to in SkyrimPrefs.ini? (file location might be different if you're using MO)

EDIT:
I found this from Google, related to the integrated GPU being displayed by ENB - https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/2pe19x/enb_using_wrong_graphics_adapter/

When in game, alt+tab out to another window and look at the Nvidia tray icon (the one that looks like a little square with some dots) and hold you mouse cursor over it. It should tell you how many programs are running off of the Nvidia card. You can then left click on it and a window should pop up. See if the Skyrim logo appears in there. When I use an ENB on my laptop with Nvidia Optimus, the ENB Series message always says "Intel HD 4000" when in reality it's running off of the discrete GPU. It might just be an incorrect message.

Thank you! I build the Dawnguard prison myself. I found another mod that expanded castle Dawnguard as well and I think I used it for some other parts of her story.

That paladin is seems too strong for a group like a Dawnguard.

They don't appear in the vanilla game, I agree on that. The idea was that she was already wounded and he used some sneaky light magic to knock her out. She would have most likely won in a fight without magic. But it's probably personal taste on how much bending on the lore one would accept.

I like the lighting in the shots, great mood setting for a vampire story.

Thank you very much!

Thanks for your replay and the positive feedback.

Now to the ENB:

EnableDepthOfField is set to true and

sD3DDevice="NVIDIA GeForce GTX 880M"

it used to be the intel graphics card and I changed that during my testing without an effect.

I found the same reddit thread you linked to and the described method was one way that I used to make sure I was actually using the correct graphics card (besides having a decent framerate and watching the usage on MSI Afterburner)...

I have really no clue what could possibly be wrong.

I mean paladin look unique enemy/boss and directly caused her capturing. Nora might can take her sweet revenge for this.

Very good chapter ! And with more action, and more suspense this time ! Always a pleasure to have a glimpse of your vampire world. :)

PS : strangely, your chapter does not appear in LL's main blog menu, but rather your index.

Thank you!

And thanks again for your PS information, now I see why the blog update got a bit more attention than the story entry. Funny enough the update entry appears on Blogs-> Dashboard and the story entry appears on Blogs -> All Blogs...

Shouldn't be a problem, I'll just post a link to the previous part when I publish the next story entry.

Hmm...

The only idea I have left is trying out reinstalling fresh files for the ENB (you've probably already tried that) if it helps;

Well, that and trying another ENB altogether to see if that one at least works.

This doesn't actually solve the problem, but I'm hoping knowing it at least works elsewhere would provide some clarity.

Ah, in that case, perhaps you could also toss your ENB files over to a pal to have them test it out on their end.

Just churning out ideas here! :)

Great start to the next chapter! Nora did a complete 180; this is quite a mess to get out of.

Thanks we'll have to wait and see whether she makes it.

Thanks for your answer!

I've tried this ENB and other ENBs a couple of times and nothing worked, it's not a file problem.

In my opinion, it's either a problem with the pref.ini which I don't think is the case, the graphics card itself or it's a problem with the ENBs having trouble with Laptops and switching from one card to the other... which should be fixed by using the injector version. But the injector version doesn't work as well, so nothing seems likely... I'm really out of ideas.

Damn I almost missed this part! :o

Fortunately I've found this before I read the second section, since this was really, really awsome! :D
