I'm facing a weird problem that really bothers me. I followed the instructures and installed the mods, animations, patches, and everything seems to be fine.

 

First , I was playing a female character, all the animations work despite aglinment glitches. And I tried to play a male character, then the problem comes.

 

I was stuck on the gathering phrase with a black screen (Home key not working, Esc does). So I remove all the animations, just keep Leito's, and AAF framwork plus creature pack. This time, I can trigger the animation, before entering it I press home and see the menu, and after that I can't get any access , not pagedown or end, or any others. I just can wait till the animation ends, and the worse part is, the cam is fixed there and I can't move or rotate it. After the animation, I was in first person mod, but stuck there without any control access, none of the movement keys work.

 

But the weird thing is, with the same mods, female character works, and I confirm that male animations are fine because I can offer my companion with NPCs. It just happens when I play as male. 

 

I use CBBE, Bodytalk V3, Zaz V6, nothing more. perhaps someone can help me with these, it's really frustrating.

I followed the guide.  Also, my set was reviewed by Nharra at The Fooking Manual Discord, who said they didn't "see anything obviously wrong on purely AAF requirements part."  Clothes Reequip Before Animation Ends  Nharra suggested maybe an issue with the save since, at first, it seemed resolved on a new game.  Unfortunately, it eventually started again on a new save. 

 

Was checking here only to see if anyone else had dealt with this issue and had any substantive suggestions before I start brute force troubleshooting.

Coming back to fallout after years and im for the first time downloading some adult mods. I found modding skyrim didnt have as many hoops to hop through but I am new to this side of modding on fallout. I'm giving a mod collection from nexus a shot but that collection is using https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/39006 . But default cbbe as the body. Do I just need to install DFS in place of zex or do i need to install zex and the kneefix  and then DFS but not overwrite? I just want to make sure I'm doing it right before actually adding anything. If this collection doesnt work out im just gonna go back and do everything manually. Then ill just do exactly what the guide says.

9ºa CBBE (If you insist on using CBBE 3BBB+CBBE KneeFix, use DFS) - it's  from manual. Fusion girl and Bodytalk needs Zex. If you are using CBBE and Bodytalk, you need Zex anyway. And yes, make sure nothing overwrite Zex. You can always test that combination (CBBE + Kneefix (+ DFS)) in game and see what happens. I'm using FG so I have no clue about CBBE, but you can always fix problem with removing/adding mod. Just make sure that your body combination with fixes and skeleton do not affect Zex. Test at first...

Some self troubleshooting for you to try

New Game

Always try a new game first. Especially if you enabled modding on an on-going save/game.

"NO_F4$E"

F4SE installed incorrectly or modding not enabled in Fallout4Custom.ini.

Infinite Black Loading Screen

This is very likely and in most cases, a pop up from some mod loading in faster than your game. Usually AAF's popup when installed, cheat terminal's popup and/or others. This happens because the game's pop ups (Not to confuse with the notifications on the top left of the screen) pause the game itself. Simply press Enter key a couple times to 'confirm' the popups and let the game fully load.

Problems with using the "Home" key in AAF

Make sure you're not using Power Armor
The game needs to be run at least once through steam after installing it (not your mod manager) so that proper files are created.
AAF was never properly installed in the first place: When starting the game for the first time there will be a dialogue (pop up message after character creation) after all the mods have initialized, showing that AAF has properly started.
Home is hidden behind a function key on laptops, usually labeled as [FN].
Another mod has registered the use of this key (A mod conflict).
Non-standard / broken keyboard.
UI mods interfering with AAF.

AAF Force Start command

Open console (usually the `/~ key found on the upper left of the keyboard).
Type in:
stopquest aaf_mainquest
Exit console. Wait 5 seconds. Open console again.
Type:
startquest aaf_mainquest
Exit console.

Missing rufgt's Animations.esp

Probably have AAF SEU XML Addon installed, which has Animation XMLs in it asking for that .ESP.

Naked NPC Spawning when pressing HOME

Uninstall Dongs of Fallout, it's incompatible with AAF. Replace with BodyTalk or Atomic Muscle.

Skeleton Problems (Stretched out/Detached Penis/Genitalia)

ZaZOut or CBBE Knee Fix installed along with ZaZ Extended Skeleton. Remove them and keep ZaZ Extended Skeleton only.

[061] No available Actors found within the scan range

Missing patch(es) for custom race, incorrectly installed AAF and its mods and/or no animations installed at all.

Removing transition due to error

Mod Order (MO2's left panel) / Vortex Rules issue.

AAF ERROR | Animation ID XXX not found

Missing animations.
Animation Id not found often is also a file load order issue, often when there are patches for animations and one of them is different version than the other.

AAF ERROR | AnimationGroup ID XXX not found

Probably incompatible patch and/or fucked XML files.

Actor Scaling

Scaling can be enabled in AAF\AAF_settings.ini and in Atomic Lust installer.

AAF UI fonts look like blocks

A mod is likely modifying UI fonts and should be removed. One such example would be 'ModoFonto - Classic Fallout 4 and New Vegas Fonts'.

Address Library for F4SE Plugins

xSE PluginPreloader

Incompatibilities:

Achievement enablers (Already built into Buffout4)

BakaScrapHeap

Installation:

1º Install Buffout4 and the Address Library via mod manager.

2º Extract the xSE PluginPreloader manually into Fallout 4's main folder where the Fallout4.exe is located.

3º Change its loading mechanic by editing xSE PluginPreloader.xml with Notepad++ and then changing

this:
<LoadMethod Name="ImportAddressHook">

to this:
<LoadMethod Name="OnThreadAttach">

Or this if previous doesn't work

<LoadMethod Name="OnProcessAttach">

Dependencies:

Install/repair the MS VC++ runtimes 32bit[x86] AND 64bit[x64] in this order (first X86, then X64).

It give you a good headstart. For the mod Schlongs of skyrim, The last version dosen't seem to work anymore.

hay man thanks after alot of time and 130 active plugs  and 150 light plugins i finaly don it i only have one problem i realy dont care for it but why not ask so i bin trying to ghet spanking to work like Devious follower mod wear u can make a deal to beg for spanking or in submissive lola i have no spanking even tho i have the animations and im not so good now that i can just change data in the folders i am scared i mess up and i have to do everything again but ja thanks for the link even wen my replay is late  gretings from germany :3

Hello guys. I'm having issues with the Leito animations. Everything else seems to be working fine until I get one of the animations that has the "stages" (play stage1 => play stage 2). During these animations it always gets stuck on the first stage and never progresses to the next one, and the only way out is to quit the game. I tried finding a solution for this on Leito's page but didn't see anything there. I'm also not using Hardship so I don't have Staged Leito Plus mod installed (maybe I should?). I'm kind of new to modding so I'm sure its something stupid on my end. Thanks in advance.

 

 

Edit: I'm using AAF] FO4 Animations by Leito v2.1b and I have Leito's option checked in UAP

Animations edited by the UAP are marked as [UAP].
Leito Trees in the UAP have the correct settings and should work without issues.
If the animation is initiated by the PC, then stage switching must be controlled manually using the arrow keys on the keyboard.
However, you can manually switch stages in Trees, even if the animation is controlled by an NPC and the Tree interface is not displayed.
In the UAP, Trees have a stage switching delay.

With the aaf menu open did you try hitting the End key twice? Hitting it once you'll see it say Exiting, hit it again and it'll instantly end the animation.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm going to do a clean re-installation of the game and all of my mods and see if that irons things out.

How to get into discord chanel, it tells me all the time after clicking "let me in" to click nuclear explosion icon, where, I am clicking it and it tells that it dosn't work?

Hello im currently having some issues getting the fallout 4 to recognize and even load AAF, the animations and other spannable items show up just fine but AAF And the Themes Aren't loading  Any help would be much Amazing

I've noticed that when loading in the game either from menu, save loading, or death, after the loading screen there's a good 4-8 seconds of a frozen screen. After which the aaf menu briefly flashes in the corner and the game goes back to normal. I'm assuming this is just necessary for aaf to load animations, but I'd just like some clarity on that so I know it's not a problem that I could fix. Playing on pre-NG.

So safe to assume it's just something to put up with for the foreseeable future? I've also just noticed that the extended AAF patch seems to more than double the load freeze.

I think AAF takes a lot of time caching XML files that use positionTrees. Since the presence and duration of freezes directly depends on the number of positionTree files.
If your mod list is lightweight and the game loads quickly, you'll likely see stuttering in staged animations immediately after loading. This usually disappears after a while.
However, on a very heavy build that takes a long time to load, there are no stutters during animation playback.
