Known Issues

Overlapping may/will occur when an increased amount of overlay mod is used

there was a double or triple effect known to happened (please tell me if this happens to you)

Please note, This is still in progress, please alert me if there is any issues

More Notices

this mod can be a resource hog if you are using loose overlay files.
(I know that NPC Male Bodies uses loose files so caution about that mod)
How to fix this issue-> Packing BA2's

also if you have performance Issues, I would recommend the following

all of the following requires you to open INVB_OverlayFramework_DISTR.ini

Chances
Spell = 0x52B7~INVB_OverlayFramework.esp|NONE|0xEAFB6,0x13746|NONE|NONE|NONE|10
or
Spell = 0x52B7~INVB_OverlayFramework.esp|NONE|0xEAFB6,0x13746|NONE|NONE|NONE|25
or
Spell = 0x52B7~INVB_OverlayFramework.esp|NONE|0xEAFB6,0x13746|NONE|NONE|NONE|50
or
Spell = 0x52B7~INVB_OverlayFramework.esp|NONE|0xEAFB6,0x13746|NONE|NONE|NONE|(or whatever you want)

you will need to adjust the MCM settings (because the default settings assume 100% of NPCs will get the spell)

Unique NPCs(only unique NPCs will get overlays) *I am not sure if this works
Spell = 0x52B7~INVB_OverlayFramework.esp|NONE|0xEAFB6,0x13746|NONE|U

Ghouls Only
Spell = 0x52B7~INVB_OverlayFramework.esp|NONE|0xEAFB6

Humans Only
Spell = 0x52B7~INVB_OverlayFramework.esp|NONE|0x13746

What's New in Version v2.460

Released

v2.460

---------------------------------

overhaul of my overlay mod (Female and Male overlays have been added as well as unique faction overlays for most of the factions)

reworked how unique overlays work (it can be added to any tattoo style (under or over the tattoos)

added gendered options to each faction (chance for each gender in a faction)

added Priority options to MCM (this controls which order the overlays appear)

added support for this mod Oppressor's Tattoo - Vol 03 (Joker) (CBBE) (4K) https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/78767

v2.455

---------------------------------

Added an overlay toggle MCM page (that allows you to enable or disable any of the overlay packages)

rework scripts to suit the changes above (if you are using the captive only Tattoo option and (either 1. don't have it or 2. disable it) then it will default to the standard tattoo option)

reworked the hand overlays to have a chance to get both TCD overlays on both hands or on one hand.

other minor changes to do with hands.

added a new file (not to FOMOD yet) that contains the blank forms for the overlay quests. (allows you to easily add content to the game) DO NOT USE THE ESP WITH THE GAME YET

v2.450b

---------------------------------

I added the unique and death overlays to the update cycle (I had forgotten about adding them to this part of the script until now)

I added two commands to the array menu (unique and Death)

other minor changes (remove 'Debug:' from some messages)

v2.450a
---------------------------------

I reworked the Debug Messages into several choices

"Disable", "Enable - Traces Only", "Enable - Distributor", "Enable - Overlays", "Enable - Chances", "Enable - Debug", "Enable - All"

The existing messages should be sorted into those fields. (btw Trace messages(seen on Papyrus Logs) will work on all options except "Disable")

v2.450
---------------------------------

removed extensions from the checklist (it should check for all three for each mod (ESM, ESP, and ESL)) *someone did have an issue with them

also, I removed a couple of double up's. (had both ESP and ESL of the same mod)

I moved the Group Distributor to the Distributor page and added a hotkey and two options (time(ingame minutes) and distance(ingame units)

also I change some of the debug script to use the debug message option (so if you are using 'Disabled' then you will not see any messages)

Please make sure that the updater is working because this update will cause issues with non-updated games. *click "Force Random Overlay Framework Update"

v2.440b (one more time)
---------------------------------

Fixed a couple of issues with FOMOD (I forgot to change the remove folders from FOMOD when I added the armors in the update before (v2.430))

v2.440a
---------------------------------

Added Base Skins to the MCM's (again, I lost them somehow)

Allows you to select a base skin for NPCs (No Change(Default), Clean, Dirty, Old(or somewhat Ghoul-like), Underwear(may be buggy(depends on your meshes))

v2.440
---------------------------------
Added an auto updater (for old save games, you need to activate it via MCM under "Other Commands", new games should activate it by default)
Added an automatic overlay Distributor (it kinda works but I wouldn't trust it) *bottom most command on the last page (click it again to cancel it)
Added a ROF edition of Dead Body Fixer to the mod (it gives a manager to corpse at the end of its script) *this overwrites my standalone version of DBF
General Fixes (minor performance fixes)

FOMOD
rearrange the list of Robco Patcher Choices to fix a couple of issues. Moved the armor to the bottom and spell to the top.

*btw it should be fine for most players to keep it as it is. (but I did notice a lot of NPCs being activated during the start of a new game) *as far as Nukaworld

MCM
reworked the MCM (it should be a bit clearer now)
Rearrange the Tattoo Options to be more consistent with the new changes.

not much else (unless I forgot something)

v2.430a
---------------------------------

Critical Fixes for groups of NPCs to get(skips overlayed NPCs) or cycle overlays. *it should work now

Added a perk to given when a NPC has received an overlay (mainly to prevent the groups of NPCs from getting more overlays when the new overlays group command is used)

Added a scripted event to activate Faction Managers

Changed the commands to use faction managers instead of Custom overlay Manager *God I need better names **fix this in the next patch

maybe one or two more minor fixes (if any)

v2.430
---------------------------------
Added Skin override Defaults (for example you might want Children of Atom to have not quite ghoul-ish skin)
*Please note that dead bodies react differently to the above (some do not have factions so it will be skipped also it might require a save and reload for the body change to happen.

Changed Modifiers to have a disable option
Changed the script to remove the body conditions and Hairs from the Tattoo Modifier.
Removed several useless scripts from BA2 and source files
Removed several useless quests and aid objects.
Added several overlays to unique overlays and reworked the MCM to suit the changes (moved it to the last option)
Added the changes to Porc Overlays (removed Birthmarks and it is a placeholder at the moment (only Lactation from Cheri Looksmenu is active so I would lower the chances of this)
Added support to Cheri LooksMenu Overlays (under tramp, pelvis, and placeholder)

Added commands to get groups of NPCs to get(skips overlayed NPCs) or cycle overlays.
thus added a requirement for Lighthouse Papyrus Extender https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/71420

v2.425c (Changelog overhaul) *Nothing new but I needed to edit the changelog
---------------------------------------
changes to FOMOD
also I added hair and eye support to FOMOD

New supported Mods
Looksmenu - More Pubic Hair Overlays
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/72399
Body_ColorOverlays
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/75384
TCD Eyes (located inside Tattoos Collection by Dreivor)
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/49177
Anto Hair Pack
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/73092

Major changes to MCM
1. Divided it in half (Basic Options and Faction Options)
2. Changed the location of "Armor or Quest" to the Uninstallation Page)
3. Added array options (this controls the overlays given)
4. Changed the following

Pubic Hair Style with Modifier = Allows Bushy or Styled or Both in a number of Modifiers (1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, and 3d Mesh(Visible and Invisible to Pipboy)
Body Hair Style with Modifier = Allows Clean or Dirty or Both in a number of Modifiers (1x, 2x, 3x, and 4x)
Skin Conditions with Modifier = Allows Acne or Birthmarks or Moles or Scars or All in a number of Modifiers (1x, 2x, 3x, and 4x)
Damage Marks with Modifier = Allows Bruises or Spanked or Whipped or All in a number of Modifiers (1x, 2x, 3x, and 4x)
Hands and Feet with Modifier = Allows Hands and Feet in a number of Modifiers (1x, 2x, 3x, and 4x)
Tattoos can be modified = Toggle Slave Tattoo's (Allow Slave Tattoos, No Slave Tattoos, Allowed Only Slave Tattoos)
Tattoo Modifier = Increase chances of Tattoos (1x, 2x, 3x, and 4x)

*so for example you could have Whipped on 20% and then have Children of Atom on 1x(20% chance) and Captives on 4x(80% chance) while everyone else is disabled.

Installation log

1. install the mod
2. go into Random Overlay Framework (Basic) MCM
3. go into Uninstallation page and click "Stop Old Random Overlay Framework MCM" and exit MCM
4. go into Array Commands page and click "Refresh Random Overlay Framework Overlays and arrays" and exit MCM
5. it should work afterward (it should also work before doing the steps but just in case)
*so there will be papyrus logs issue, I decided to change MCM location (in hindsight, I shouldn't have but nevertheless)
6. you may need to go into the MCM folder and remove the following folders
"INVB_OverlayFramework"
"INVB_OverlayFramework_Advanced"
7. Go to MCM and then Settings
you can easily transfer the settings from the old setting to the new systems by copying and pasting the setting to the new settings files
copy from "INVB_OverlayFramework.ini" (or just make a copy of it and rename it to the following)
and paste into "INVB_OverlayFramework_Basic.ini" and "INVB_OverlayFramework_Factions.ini"
