Hi guys!

Returning to Fallout 4 after a couple years break. I have two questions:

1. Is this mod list still up to date? It appears to be dated to 2020.

2. Is there another mod list that fits with this one? Like a a vanilla mod guide to upgrade visuals, stories etc... Then apply this one? Or would you advise to install AAF first?

Note that both of those guides are extremely "heavy", which likely means that few people have had the patience to try them out.

And, perhaps related, Guide 1 specifies that it requires a texture mod (with notes that a future version of the guide may be include some alternatives) which is not available (removed by the author from nexusmods).

I have what is probably a stupid question and I'm just not understanding things for some reason. In the early part of the guide it states:

Quote

Links list below is MOD Order (MO2's left panel / Vortex rules), NOT plugin order.

Install ALL mods marked as (REQUIRED)

This includes SKIPPING ANY/ALL PATCHES/MODS LISTED AND/OR LINKED ON THEIR OWN MOD PAGES.

My dumb question is: does "skipping any/all patches/mods listed and/or linked on their own mod pages mean skipping the requirements for listed mods (like the requirements for Buffout 4), or when we come to a mod in the guide list that we should install it PLUS all of its requirements?

No. If you will not install, for example, hard requirements for Buffout, mod simply will not work. I think this paragraph is like a reminder do not install everything in a row...And for  simply working AAF setup you will not need any additional patches or something like that...You can always test any mod/patch if you want. Just make sure that you will remember what are you installing, in the case something is fcked up in game...do not install 20 mods in a row.

OCBPC is outdated  and does not work with next-gen patch and later  patches

use OCBP for Next-Gen    (as for anniversary, currently I don't know stayin on next-gen until mods get the update)

yall think aaf will update for anniversary? :( my dreams of the perfect falloutgame. have dragged on a decade now. because everytime im like, oh fuck this is the perfect load order holy shit they drop some dumbass creation club begging for money in exchange for any good will they have lefttttttttttttttttt but really they probably never update it, rite? he hasnt posted on his discord in months

I would say that the thing is that it is not worth updating any mod currently. As long as Bethesda is pushing series of stupid patches, the effort to update AAF or any mod for month and then again in December for next patch is futile. Most likely scenario is that modders are waiting for Bethesda to stop doing crap on Fallout 4 then work on updates.

It looks like you are running the Anniversary Edition upgrade.

While you have the interim F4SE dll appropriate to AE, none of your mods are capable of using it yet.

To make the above info simpler, if you truly desire to play Nuka Ride and use AAF, you will have to downgrade.

Or wait until the Looksmenu people, Nuka Ride people, AAF people and others upgrade their individual mods.

Todd Howard is just making it work - badly.

Read this twice and it worked great for getting the base all set!

I need to do some more work in the future for getting Commonwealth Slavers working in the future, but having this base will make it so much easier.

Thank you so much for the work you put into this!

I've been away from Fallout 4 for 2 years.  I recently installed the GOG.com version of the game.  Which is the last version before the next gen update so it is more compatible with Fallout London.  Speaking of FOLON is AAF and it's sex mods compatible with it?

I installed EAP, Violate, and SeU on FOLON.
Don't equip the belt and torch. This causes crashes when undressing.
Don't run AAF scenes while holding a weapon in third-person view. This can break animation switching.

Okay I followed the tutorial in this thread and when I try to start a new game with AAF activated it crashes after the intro.  When I deactivate the mod the game starts up fine.  I am using other mods but they are cosmetic in nature.  Like CBBE, Bodytalk, and Project Beauty.  Have you ever had this problem?

I connected the mods after creating a new game and character.
