Spicy Altered Creature Animations

Are you a fan of monster shenanigans?  Are you bored of watching the same animation every time you surrender to assorted non-humanoid residents of the wasteland?  Good news, fellow degenerates!  Thanks to the jaw-dropping capability of Screen Archer Menu (SAM) and Pose Converter, users can finally enjoy a few new variations of classic creature animations.

 

These AAF animations are SAM-adjusted versions built from the contents of Gray User’s AAF Creature Pack (GUCP).  Adjustments include proper opening of the genitals (FusionGirl only)Most positions consist of four animation stages in a tree.  These trees are set up for manual advancement with no timers.  Sound is provided by NSFW Sound Pack, just like the original animations these are based on.  Speaking of which, the original animations are untouched, so you may still enjoy them as unique positions.

 

Requirements and Caveats

There is currently no skeleton available for adjusting insects/crustaceans within SAM.  Thus, SAM can only alter the human actress, not her partner.  This absence does somewhat restrict the potential variety of poses.

 

Insertable portions of the creatures tend to be larger, longer, curvier, or all of the above when compared to a human male.  Some clipping of the genital openings is inevitable despite the author's best efforts to find a reasonable angle and position for the receiver.  In a similar vein, the receiver’s pose is based on a zero-sliders FusionGirl preset.  Other presets may result in additional clipping of (or through) the actors.

 

These animations have been created assuming a female receiver scale of 1.0.  This scale seems to be generally in line with Gray User's work.  Female scale in-game varies between 0.98 and 1.0.

 

Certain creatures, such as bloatflies and mirelurks, use default scales other than 1.0.  Their SAM adjustments have been made assuming the same scale as Gray User’s original animations (0.82 and 0.85, respectively).  AAF automated actor scaling will make these creatures larger than intended and disrupt the relative position of the actors.  To compensate, I recommend setting AAF scaling to false and installing SavageCabbage Animations Rescaling, which scales humans and creatures to the originally intended size for all animations (in spite of the name).

 

As of v2.00 this mod includes an esl-flagged plugin.

Q&A

Q) Will SACA conflict with other animation patches or mods?

A) It shouldn’t. SACA neither hides nor alters the original GUCP animations. All XML files are self-contained within this mod, and do not overwrite or rely on external XML. Conflicts between patched XML files are the most common cause of AAF failing to load. SACA can run alongside either UAP or Patch for Animations, if desired.

 

Q) Will SACA work with CBBE or derivatives (like TWB)?

A) Genitals won’t open but otherwise animations should work fine. FusionGirl will most closely match the intended pose.

 

Q) Will this work with males?

A) Animations will work for any actor with a human skeleton. Precision with males may be a bit off because the animations are created for a female receiver. If some enterprising soul wants to make fine adjustments, the original SAM files are available in the FOMOD as a modder's resource.

 

Q) Will you change the staging/tree system to automatically advance?

A) I prefer animations not to advance unless I move them myself. Patches are welcome.

 

Q) Will you add some specific pose?

A) Depends on the pose, I guess. I’m not explicitly seeking suggestions. Feel free to leave them anyway, with the understanding that I may do nothing. That said, here’s the beauty of SAM: anyone can make their own animation adjustments! You don’t need specialized software or obscure knowledge. All of the relevant tools are easily installed, cost nothing, and have a shockingly short learning curve.

 

Q) Why does part of XYZ pose look odd? You should have posed the bones like this instead…

A) Confession: I am a rank amateur. I have no experience making animations or poses outside of this mod. No doubt there is something here that will make an experienced 3D modeler cringe (my apologies in advance to kziitd).

 

Q) Why do some animations flicker briefly when they loop?

A) I don't know, and neither does anyone else so far, including Maxie. The hkx files look alright in hkxPoser. If anybody has a solution or suggestion please let me know!

Soft Requirements

-NSFW Sound Pack, if you want the baked-in sounds from GUCP to play.

-Fusion Girl, because it will most closely match the intended pose..

-Buffout, which helps prevent crashes related to heavy adult modding.

-SavageCabbage Animations Rescaling, which scales humans and creatures to the originally intended size for all animations.
