Short summary of the previous section

We last saw Lenora at the end of chapter 11 when Thomas helped her escape her captivity by the Queen and avoid falling into Harkon's claws.

Since then she escaped captivity by hiding in her home province of Hammerfell, avoiding her hunters.

In the province of Hammerfell, there is unrest beneath the surface; many are dissatisfied with the queen's appointed ruler Duchess Maerwynn.

This opposition is led by the Sehats.

Oh. damn, that's amazing. Especially the opening "shadows" scene, and those medusa-like hairs!

Yeah, we'll return to Nora soon, just a brief chapter to focus on how Lenora is doing in the mean time .

I like the medusa hair as a spin on vampires that are not central/eastern European.
