I made mistake in voting. Although I always give advantage to brunettes and blonds before reds, must confess that Nora looks prettier with red hair.

It's really a dark red that leans towards red, but I'm undecided and I'm asking the color question myself ever since I gave her red hair.

A poll entry from time to time isn't a bad idea. About the modern story I'm a bit split, as more variety is good, but at the same time you showed with the last chapter (including with flashbacks) you could show us some variety in the main story. As long as quality remains there, that's the main point ; but having some small side stories cannot hurt I think.

On a side note, that Lady Maria set looks extremely classy. As there's more red than the usual in your stories, I would tend to prefer black haired Nora as it offers more contrast ; but as this outfit is rather black, her red hair just produce that same contrast so I like that set quite a lot.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to do something like that. Mostly because of the huge amount of work to set up all the Knox modern location. (It would have been a dystopian semi futoristic story with Nora starting out as part of the "regim" as a 'Peacekeeper' (see screenshots).)

I had something like a concept for this. If there was a huge push from the readers I would have seriously considered it, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I love the outfit, in case you don't know it's based on Lady Maria from Bloodborne who is (ash) blond in the game. It has become my go to outfit for non armor events for Nora. You already see it briefly in Chapter 6 Section 8 when Jonas picks her up (parts of that entry were done very recently).

As you said, it's very classy, feels very vampiric but is also very lore friendly (at least in terms of TES vampire lore, not necessary fus ro dah Skyrim).

I think that poll result of that question would have been differently in earlier chapters, where a lot of people commented and signalized that they had a hard time sympathizing with her. She's not meant to be super nice or so, but once you accepted her perspective and values she's at least decent and reasonable.

The Envoy screenshots are something I may want to elaborate on in the (far) future. It's not unreasonable for Nora to have a period where she worked for Harkon and kind of helped to enforce his rule... I'm not sure, this was just a thought I had while naming these images. 

I placed my vote. Nora is hot. I was surprised I haven't' seen the question like this about Nora: likeable to too evil.   I like @Tirloque's comment about her:

Nora to me is someone willing to do anything to protect herself and her friends. Like Aria, she will go to the extreme, though I have not shown. Also for her being "Evil" Shes a Vampire, her concept of good and bad is different because what she does it the norm for Vampires.

I know it's a little late for this, but the second question in the poll seems off to me. Likable and evil aren't mutually exclusive, especially in your setting. As a character, I think she's brilliant. The dark atmosphere you've crafted frames her like a painting. Nora is exactly what I'd want to see in this type of story; the setting, characters, plot, and atmosphere all work to embellish that. As a person, I think she's an unlikable bitch, but someone I'd respect if I were an underling. However, the more I see of her, the more I see that she has that outer appearance, but does have a heart on the inside. So that's my answer to that question. I put likable on the poll though.

I fully understand where this is coming from. But if you tell a vampire story you need to have a certain level of evilness and selfishness. But there are other characters in my story that have different traits.

The pro modern story certainly catched up and I'm aware that asking this in the Blood & Pleasure blog has a biased audiance, but the decision is 50/50 so it probably won't happen, unless there are some major mods released that take away a lot of the work.

Doing a larger story with her in Knox is a bit challenging as lots of locations NPCs etc. needed to be changed completely for me to feel right. 
Aether suite has some amazing stuff for screenshoting, but it's also very empty. Just making something as a simple bar scene would already mean a lot of work. You can't just take Vilkas, put him in a suite and have him be a handsome 21st century guy.
There are tones of small details that need change and extra work. You might not even think of them when reading a story, but you notice them when they are missing.

and @xGHoSTx the whole hetero-bi thing is a bit complicated. You can certainly look at her sex partners and call her bi- and be done with it. But it's a bit more complicated due to the vampire nature and her long life. When she grew up and was still human she was certainly hetero.

When drinking blood all vampires in my story behave a lot more impulsive and instinctive. Their sex drive is also highly increased so it's very common to just let go of all norms and restrictions (such as not having sex with other people while you're in a romantic relationship with somebody). See for example C4S9, or even C6S9, but C4S9 really is the prime example of this collective let go and just have sex and fun, completely ignoring any restrictions.

So in these scenarios you'd have heterosexual vampires having gay sex or for example an "actual" lesbian having hetero sex. So the different sexualities totally blur already, especially since it's very common to drink large amounts of blood in the presence of other vampires.

On top of that Nora is very over 400 years old and over time you're just more interesting in more exotic forms of sexuality in order to keep things interesting and spicy. Your very first time of missionary sex is super interesting, but it's a lot less exiting in a ten year old relationship with the same partner. You're just looking for other stuff to keep things spicy and gay and lesbian sex are just another way of having a more interesting sex life.

All serious relationships of Nora were with man (except for Yvonne, but this is a bit of a special case, which would take me another half page to explain ), this is where she's romantically drawn to.

So I consider her heterosexual that just happens to have sex with women from time to time due to the rules of my wold. But as said in the beginning I can totally see somebody calling that bi. But in that case every other vampire in my world would be bi as well.

Tldr, if you'd ask her she'd consider herself to be heterosexual.

Maybe I should do a Nora AMA some time in the future... ?

See first paragraph above. Fallout 4 Nora would be a child of atom. I've toyed around with a Nora Fallout 4 story and she'd be a very convinced child of atom. I wouldn't want to go with some kind of super badass raider chick or so, which would probably be the more direct translation of her character.

I agree. I think I'd need an answer matrix with evil and likeable. (Or just two questions.) I just wanted to get a feeling for how her character is perceived. It's easy to make an evil character not likeable, but when an objectively terrible person is the protagonist of your story you still want the audience engaged in the story and it's difficult at times to stay true to her character but still not loose the audience.

I think there were times, like at the end of chapter 3, where this question would have been answered a bit different.

I think there has to be a tradeoff for the superpowers you get as a vampire. You've internal youth and live forever, you're strong, fast and highly seductive and appealing for other humans. Just disliking garlic and the sun really isn't enough. So falling victim to your own bloodlust and killing humans as a consequence and being half a monster are just part of the the tradeoff to me.

I really like this transformational process of having these, noble super classy and polite vampires and minutes later they are just savage beasts, like shown in Chapter 4 with the masquerade party.

The point was never to make her "evil" just a non romanticized perfect vampire that's a monster at times (it's arguable whether I did that or not)... and of course there is this erotic femme fatal trope in my story of seductive, beautiful but dangerous and I cater to that quite often. 

And there is Eric in my story (Chapter 5 Section 1-4) who is indeed a "good" vampire, but it costs him great discipline and willpower to fight is nature.
