The BIG Update

I'm commencing the BIG Update.  Wish me luck.

 

1.  Backup characters.

2. Run FNIS, turn off auto FNIS, switch to Nemesis keep FNIS data

3. Turn off TK Dodge, Turn on CGO, add Nemesis animations

4. ESLify everything that can be (the looooong step)

5. Add graphical updates

6. Begin recreation (the other long step)

Turned off/Removed:

Spectator Crowds - for now.  usually it's only an annoyance.  Me trying to have sex, people just burst in the area I am even if the settings are supposed to prevent them from seeing.  May add back in the future for specific purposes.

Aedra race - Aedra have no dicks.  Honestly, unplayable. ? (Galahad has been changed into a tall Imperial with Wings per animated wings mod)

Blood and Silver/Sky City Markarth - Both included in Ultimate Markarth

Merged Meru, Abigail, Veronica - Dropped the other two, ESLified new version of Meru

Merged Weapon Mods - Automatic Crossbows, Daggercraft, Godswords, WoW Weapons, Nicoroshi Creations, Necro Staff, 3rd Era Weapons, Monster Hunter Weapons and ESLified them

Merged Armor Mods - Book of UUNP, Blades and Stormlord and ESLified them (Except Blades is too big to ESL, so this was a wasted step)

Hearthfire Kids Grow Up - Don't care about the random HF kids, have no control over how they grow up

Prison Overhaul Patched - Canonically in Destana's Skyrim, she'll killed the Prison Master and forcibly removed this.

Path of the Anti-Mage - Dirty ITMs

Assault on Valenwood - I have people from AoS and I'll revisit it later, but AoV, meh.  I can always turn it back on.

 

Did not ESLify for reasons:

[Low Yield means it would've been a lot of work - multiple of SEQ, script-heavy, BSA or some other high chance of me screwing it up for a single mod, I left it as is]

[As a note, all the getformfromfile (GFFF) isn't a hard stop, but it is much more work than I'm willing to perform.]

SOS and all plugins - I've tried this in the past, it breaks SOS

SL Random Sex - Has a dll, don't want to touch it

Dibella Cult - BSA/SEQ LY

SLACs - has no source files for scripts for a human to read, can't check for 'getformfromfile'

SL Tools - GFFF

Immersive Speechcraft - Lots of scripts, BSA, LY

Massmatchmaker - GFFF

Idle Wheelmenu - has a separate update file, bsa and scripts.  LY.  May get replaced.

Reminds me, you mentioned you plan to switch from to Project Proteus to Proteus. Last time I checked Proteus could not use the saved chars, etc. from Project Proteus. That kept me away from it (well that and the stability issues it still had in spring), has that changed? Or do you really intend to rebuild all chars from scratch?

I havs their presets saved and videos of what they look like. PP isn't great at carrying forward their stats and abilities anyway. Making them from scratch, might as well switch over.

 

Edit:  sticking with PP. Still a lot of bugs.

Aye, not unexpected, the author strikes me a little as more interested in trying new stuff than the boring final steps to polish and debug something. I totally get that, I'm like that too, but if you publish your creations, you should be a little bit more professional about it and not constantly abandon projects to run after the next new shiny project.

Like he recently created the Skyrim Cheat Engine kinda AddItemMenu on steroids (in every sense it can do notably more, at the price of being notably slower ... around here we would say: Kann vor Kraft nicht laufen (roughly: to strong to walk))
Despite being slower it's the first AE capable AddItemMenu replacer that offers a decent search function, so I thought it might be my ticket to test AE ... but someone just recently published a replacement dll for AddItemMenu, which should be a lot faster, so perhaps I will stick with that once I move to 1.6x.

Ohhh boy.  Saved, closed xEdit and set Vortex to deploy while I switch over laundry.  Got back to 228 plugin slots, 434 light mods.  Gotta go get the kids.  Will continue this tonight.

 

As a bonus everybody gets to see all the mods I've piled on in the past few months.

Well, seems to work.  I'm still adding things, but wanted to check and see I don't get an instant CTD.
