Back in dem' olden days I found foreigners (chics) to be worse than the Americans. Kids whom grow up with American 'freedoms' weren't like a kid in the candy store. Funny how 40 years changed all that........

 

Obviously this doesn't mean all foreigners - Mostly those Asian chics from places like the Philippines whom married sailors and divorced once living here. I could add one I knew from the Azores as well - what a stunner, but a total bitch. Later I met one from Germany whom was incredibly level headed - putting most American women to shame.  These were all 'military wives' at one point if not currently.

Thanks, this made me laugh - and don't ask for pictures for proof - the genetic lottery is a fickle thing. BTW, reading her page at the webpage you posted told me enough. After the apocalypse she would be selling her ass because she appears to have no valid life skills - recruit difficulty indeed. (Unless it's deemed uncool to add things like real education/skills/abilities)

Well, to be fair every mall in the country was slowly losing out to online shopping anyway. Goes without saying that covid was the nail in the coffin for a lot of businesses. I said it at the start and I'll say it again- you can't shut down the fucking economy for very long and certainly not repeatedly. The cure can't be worse than the illness.

 

My town? Doing okay because we didn't "lock down". Had more cases- sure- and still do. But people aren't dying in alarming #s that they'd have you believe. 

 

You know what is alarming? Hospitals possibly shutting down because they are running out of money. People putting off all the little surgeries and treatments that these clinics and hospitals need because they're worried about the coof.

The last time I went to the Galleria the ice rink had plywood over the top of it and the court around was being dismantled.  All of the high-end stores were out of business or going out of business.  A new wall had the movie theater sealed off.  The amount of shoppers I expected to see was maybe 1/4 of what they were back in the 80's.  The walls away from the high traffic areas were dirty and scratched, and had holes from assholes punching and kicking the drywall.  What really pissed off was the groups of TS Houstone gang bangers doing the ignorant shit low class scumbags do; blocking foot traffic forcing people to walk around them, cat calls and harassing people, etc.

 

I remember a time when the Galleria was a family and date spot; walk around, shop, see a movie, eat at a nice restaurant, take a carriage ride around Transco Tower and the fountains.

I am uncertain as to what your issue is. LL's rule #13 is:

Donation buttons/links to support an author is fine, so long as nothing is promised, given, or rewarded other than a sense of satisfaction for supporting an author or owner of the content. 

 

So, if someone has something here behind a paywall, including Patreon, notify a Moderator and it will be taken down (I've seen it happen). If, on the other hand, you are simply upset that those prolific modders who make LL what it is have Patreon sites and ask for donations then I think you are being seriously unrealistic. I would encourage you to try to put together the simplest of mods and you will quickly come to realize how much effort it is. The pay (from Patreon), if what Kimy has previously posted is any indication, is laughable.

 

I applaud the mod authors and am glad that they give us an option for helping to support their work.

What an exhausting year! I feel like a decade has passed since 2019. Was kinda low this morning and tried writing something to help. It's crap, but I don't fuckin care. :classic_mellow:

Not even a suspicion that needed confirmation to me. I just try to be careful whom I point that out around as some people have lost friends, family, other and might be very upset. Never think that things can't get much worse- I always say.
