Site Update: Things have changed, but nothing is final.

Small critique, I promise....

The divider between old posts and unread posts is too thin and probably hard to miss if not paying attention. Could use some weight gain.

I think the size is fine, it just needs some kind of marker to make it stand out.

Maybe something like this 5 minute mockup I made:

Hi again,?

would it be possible to increase the size of the mod details editor?

I'd like it doubled or more: pretty often I scrolled too much and had to search back the part I was editing... ?

Email notifications of personal messages don't seem to contain the full message anymore, just its first line or so. Being able to read the full message in the notification was a neat and useful feature, you could see about bringing it back?

If I create a blog entry, but mark it not to be immediately published, it doesn't show up in my blog posts.

This only seems to affect new posts, I've got unpublished ones from before the site change and I can see them fine. But I created one just now and that doesn't show up, so I don't know if it didn't get created or if it's just hidden from me like it is from everyone else.

[edit]

Just to try and avoid any confusion: I've pulled the entry from the editor buffer and submitted the post successfully. If it turns out that there's another one, hidden, I'd be grateful if we could avoid deleting the published version.

Would it be possible to always (or perhaps as an option) open the thread at the first post you haven't read? If the thread has gone onto a new page it can be a real pain to page back and find where you left off reading.

You can configure it here: https://www.loverslab.com/settings/links/

Additionally, even if your configuration is to open the beginning (default behavior, I believe), at least in a PC browser and looking at a list of topics, just before the thread title is an icon (circle or star) - clicking that also takes you to "first unread message" rather than beginning or end etc.

Not sure how this behavior works on tablets/phones etc.  My old eyes can barely make phone calls on those tiny screens, let alone browse the web.  ^-^

I think putting the small overlay on the bottom of new members' avatar is a really good idea. Now, when someone starts a thread saying "I can't do this or I can't do that" it will be really easy to just tell them that they need to give it some time and some posts. Handy, thank you.

From now on it shows tons of redirecting pop-ups (ignoring Chrome pop-up blockers plugins) no matter the thread I choose and some pop-ups are a direct MALWARE WEB PC lockers with standard police notice bullshit. I dont know where you store server data from now on Ashal but this shit is blocking me to use the website.

To my knowledge, this site doesn't even USE pop-ups at all, let alone malicious ones.

I'm running this site with ZERO browsing protection, and I get a few inline ads a page (for porn games, sites), but they're nothing very obtrusive and have never seen even a single pop-up.

You may want to run Hitman Pro, a round of windows defender in Offline scan mode, and/or whatever other anti-virus software you trust just in case.  Sounds possible something else has hooked a trojan into your browser somewhere along the line that's activating here.

I mean, it's hard to say with much certainty remotely, but it never hurts to check anyways, even if I'm wrong.  ^_^

Ad site used doesn't have popups.

Currently testing a change of the technical support categories by changing them "question" categories. This is currently only being tested in the Skyrim tech support sections:

https://www.loverslab.com/forum/50-technical-support-sexlab-framework/

https://www.loverslab.com/forum/39-skyrim-technical-support/

https://www.loverslab.com/forum/73-technical-support-skyrim-special-edition/

With this setting, there are a few key changes:

  • The user who posts a thread/question can mark an answer as "best answer" and it'll be pinned to the top of the thread as the solution to their question.
  • Other replies to the thread can be "upvoted" as a good response and/or answer, and they'll float to the top of the list of replies. This can be useful for helping highlight replies that answer the question, but the question asker is to lazy to mark the right answer themselves.

Going to give it a trial run for a week or so to see how it goes. If basically nobody is properly using it, I'll just revert them back to normal forum categories.

Just come from there to make a suggestion here:  - get rid of it.

The 'Popular' sub-section at the top is pointless.  Either a technical issue is relevant or it is not. One does not troubleshoot based on popularity.

Vote? On what does one vote and for what purpose?
