Checking in again to see if there is any plan to allow news feeds with only discussion threads with new content instead of every.single.unread.post ?

 

Showing news at the post level instead of thread makes it terribly difficult to see what's new when some threads flare up with hot topics like WickedWhims right now.

Would it be possible to add a way to filter out specific uploaders from the Downloads section? Perhaps as an addition to the Ignore feature?

 

The category I most closely follow is frequently (2-3 times a day) spammed by 2-3 creators whose content I have no interest in. It takes a while to comb through the 1-2 pages, looking for actual new content that I may care about. I'd really like to just be able to ignore the uploads of those creators so I never have to see their uploads again.

not sure if anything is going on related to the changes, but the last few days, i'm barely getting any notifications from followed threads. i confirmed by looking at some threads with comments as late as 2 hours ago, that i am following, and no notifications were sent.

So...  There's a "Reactions Limit"?

 

I mean, I'm only just getting the whole habit of trying to use them where appropriate, as I pretty much avoid social media (say, FB) like the plague to begin with, but I admit.. Trying to simply like a post that I wanted to agree with but not requiring any sort of reply, I found the popup telling me I can't do that...  odd.

In the previous version of LL there was no limit (seemingly) if you were a Supporter. I haven't tested that on this version yet since the version is not yet complete. People appreciate having their posts liked and I'm glad that I can like as many as I choose.

The forum software (IP.Board) supports restrictions of X reactions per day, if not unlimited, configured independently for each user group.

It's primarily an anti-spam/bot/abuse feature.

Possibly a silly question, but how do I do the old status update/post-to-own-profile thing in the new scheme of things? I can't find a button or input box for the life of me.

 

It'll probably turn out to have been staring me in the face the whole time, but I still can't see it.

Are you talking about this: When you go to your profile page in the Activity (default) tab, at the top (above where it lists your posts) is a box for entering information to place publicly on your profile (like it lists your posts).

Thank you so much for you work, i really like the new look and feel.

Especially the new line "Other Files from xyz" at the bottum of the page if you watch a download site. You immediately have an overview of what other stuff the modder created. That is nice!

 

It would be sooo cool if as a modder we now would be able to mark which mods should be shown in that buttom line. Because i have some new smaller mods and now all this new mods make disapear my "main" mods in that button line ?

 

I really like that new feature...

I 100% second that idea - I'm already a huge fan of the 'other files' bar, but it would be even better if modders had the ability to control what is displayed there.

How do I get rid of old mods which I have unfollowed ages ago? I have tried to follow, set to no notifications and unfollow but i still get notifications.

... as a "quick" solution, it would be nice that the order of the "other files" bar is filled with the recent updated mods (not by the start date). So the modders can indirectly control the content of the bar by updating the mods.

My list of followers is empty and I noticed that those people I followed aren't followed any more. I also have no possibility to add people on follower list. May I know why?

aren't remembered for long. Neither for the next few hours, sometimes not even a new browser tab that I open in the next few seconds (though sometimes it does).

I can't see a pattern when it works, how long it works or when it doesn't ?

For now it seems to be random but never beyond a logout.
