The final GOT episode. Disappointing, illogical and unfair.

+1 :classic_angry:

But then again, I have to remember my own saying and my own stance in every discussion I've had in RL : Forget TV and cinema, that's a pity pile of rubbish. Always read the books :classic_laugh:

+1 :)

I always gave advantage to the books before movies, but since the day I met my Prince I started to watch more movies because he is a movie fan.

1. Healthy is taking care of your body, crazy is eating nothing but broccoli in hopes of everlasting life. Everything kills you even broccoli. I'm talking about those weirdos that think themselves so right that they don't even bother to do research.

2. This was on the street. We don't want to deal with people as much as some people would like to think. Besides they might be beggars trying to swindle you out of your hard earned cash. I of course am talking about special events not the neighborhood street. People have been denied service because they wore one too many piercings and many have lost out on job opportunities because boss man didn't like that tattoo of Puff the Magic Dragon on your neck. Before I go further what is gentic persation? Is that like the weed you kids smoke these days on your miniature e-bongs?

1. 'Don't smoke, don't drink, and die healthy', as the saying goes.

2. "We don't want to deal with people as much as some people would like to think."  That, too.  I'm an introvert to boot, so I fall heavily into this category.  If I can avoid people - in just about any situation - I will.

Per denying service, there's an uninformed idea in this country that an owner is legally obligated to hire X, Y, or Z type of individual, and also, that the owner does not have the power to deny their pro-offered services to any particular individual of their own accord.  As far as I know, legally, both are incorrect assumptions.  It's more along the lines of not shooting yourself in the proverbial foot with regards to how you as a business are viewed by the community should you decide to do so.  It's their business, their image, and they're free to hire or not hire whomever they wish.

As for things like tattoos, it goes right back to the image the individual decides to present to the world around them.  That's completely on the person who decides to get the tattoo, what they choose to get, and where.  It has absolutely nothing to do with what a potential employer might think.  Case in point: ear piercings.  I'm in a pretty conservative industry, and have seen multiple people in training, males, who either have, or have had, their ears, plural, pierced.  I can't help but think "Good luck, guys!" when I consider their prospects for getting a job in the industry.  A shame, as they've all seemed to be pretty smart and dedicated individuals, but it goes right back to the image presented.  Truth doesn't matter, perception does.

Genetic persuasion:  His genetics. This particular individual was black in a largely white city.  I was on a relatively deserted street, at night.  I crossed the street to pass him on the far side of the street.  Apparently, he caught the action, and took it as a personal affront.  It was not.  It was simply me taking situational awareness into account, possible outcomes of the current situation, and altering my actions accordingly.  I've had people who were all but blatantly druggies come up to my car, attempt to tell me their sob story of the day, and ask me if I knew where [insert closest and largest city in the region here] was.  As in 'Duh, of course I do.  I wasn't born yesterday.'.  They were, of course, looking for handouts to feed their drug habit.   (There's a rehab clinic literally at the other end of the store section.)

Idiots trying to extort bitcoins out of me by saying they keylogged a password I use with the usual "don't try and contact the authorities because this email can't be traced back to me." It was an outdated password I no longer use and I managed to trace them! Anybody can be traced with enough time and patience. So I've got a choice: turn them in to their location's cops and likely get nowhere, turn the tables on them, or ignore their fail asses. I'm inclined towards the last simply because it's not worth the time and energy necessary to take revenge on these pissants.

Before anyone asks, I've dealt with this same bullshit at work for years now, with people a lot better at "hacking" than this particular fool. Unless you can physically take down the servers that you passed through, you still leave digital trails that can be traced. That's the only thing my past employers actually kept me current on.

I'd reply with there location listed. ;)  with some comment about... What was that about how you couldn't be traced?  etc.

I've had some strange shit from people trying to convince me they had something. That something was wrong with x or y. Trying to use some outdated info, password, even "personal info" which was false.. (I plant info on the web through various sites and such)

When it happens I tried to act concerned. Find out what they have then shut them down.

I used to do that. But they then just delete whatever email account they used and hide like the cowards they are. It's not like law enforcement takes these idiots seriously anymore.

"Senior moments." I've always had the short-term memory of a fish. But lately it's been getting worse and affecting even my mid-term memory as well. I literally lose whole days lately. And my insurance won't authorize a CT MRI scan even after an EEG revealed "abnormalities." Whatever they said it was is Greek to me...maybe literally.

I mean an MRI scan. :classic_tongue: CT is better for hard tissues like bone. Still can't get my insurance to authorize the proper testing, though.

Check around and see if you have an imaging clinic around you. They typically are cheaper than Hospitals and you can pay out of pocket .. (which would be less, as low as 400 Dollars or so depending on what you want done. They should do a brief overview/over look of the scan and if there is something abnormal they will be able to tell you. If there is something that is justified for that scan.. you might have grounds to sue the insurance company. It is something that is very common and usually successful from what I have read and learned... the key is the results are important for your medical care... co-insides with the rest of your complaints and history (makes sense not hidden) and the scan is logical in a professional sense.

As for getting the scan.. a Nurse (specialist forget the name currently ) based on your symptoms, complaints and history might be able to do it for you.

However. I have learned from someone (that hasn't been verified) that if you want a scan at some of those places and paying out of pocket.. they don't care, they will scan whatever the fuck you want them to .. the problem is getting the right type, location, depth and what to look for .

Oh, CT is good at checking blood flow as well. I had one to check to see if I had a aortic aneurysm. They were able to see the heart ventricles as well and how much clearance was there. (blockage) etc.  Likely used that because it was cheap.. I haven't had any xrays or other issues to be concerned with (radiation) so they made me a glowing ghoul (for about 5  minutes. Short acting radiation)

Doc called me and said she'd heard back from an endocrinologist (hormone specialist) colleague of hers whom she asked to check the blood panel. The results showed dangerously elevated levels of adrenaline, cortisol, and norepinephrine. Literally the first words out of my mouth were, "It's the stress?" Prolonged stress, especially over years, can actually shrink parts of the brain, including memory centers. Now I have just reason to get an MRI and if my insurance doesn't authorize payment, I'll have grounds to sue them. I doubt they'll deny this one; a quick scan to check is a lot cheaper than even a legal payout if this is something more serious.

Medical insurance in America: legalized extortion.

I'd talk about what happened at work yesterday, which would fit a thread called "What really makes you laugh," but I'm too damn exhausted from doing "boomer" things like painting the garage doors, mowing the lawn, and then cleaning paint off of stucco. All before heading off to school. If "boomer" means "responsible," call me a fucking boomer!

Pay careful attention to ease of maintenance.  I bought a Thermaltake years ago, before I really knew what I was doing.  Turned out that one of the fans requires basically disassembling the case to get to in order to get to it to clean it.  It's ridiculous.  The other thing I despise about the case is the fact that you have to open the front to get to the power button.  That was back when doors were all the rage on cases, for whatever reason.  Unless you're planning to carry it here there and everywhere, where protecting any moving parts (like buttons) is required, having that sort of thing is silly - and it cuts way down on airflow.  As the saying goes 'It looked good on the showroom floor... I mostly got what I wanted.  Sorta.'  "Next time." HA!

Come to think of it I didn't have an opinion of the pimp slap until now. On one hand I don't see the sex appeal I much prefer the butt >: D. On the other I can't say for certain that all women hate it, I mean some men like getting kicked in the nuts for crying out loud. If they don't like it then that is considered assault and that is illegal. But really porn is considered a media so maybe it is better not to take these things too seriously?

So no gaming for me in the next few weeks.

Any recommendations for games that don't require mouse/right analog stick to play?
