So no gaming for me in the next few weeks.

Any recommendations for games that don't require mouse/right analog stick to play?

Point-and-click games without time constraints can be played with one's left hand. Visual Novels only require one finger to 'play'. Bayonetta on Easy-Automatic mode can be played with one hand. Turn-based RPGs on PC with keyboard support can be remapped to be played one-handed.

You can also peruse these lists.

I keep these kinds of lists in mind since I have seen this question asked so many times in various gaming forums over the years.

Thanks for the tips, folks. Ended up with Final Fantasy X HD, Battle Chasers: Nightwar, Jagged Alliance 2 and the C&C series.

One could add Dwarf Fortress, Aurora 4x, Cataclysm DDA, XCOM 1 and 2, entirety of Paradox lineup, Warsim, Rimworld...

On topic:
It fucking pisses me off how the "Wife leaving husband when something bad happened to him" became such a fucking trope no one is even paying attention to it..

I mean its only natural that women just leave when their partner needs her the most...
Fucking double standard.

Currently; being shafted out of a weekend thanks to a stupid, "random day off generator."  Working 12 straight days in a row with NO day off ?.  Only upside; it's nearly 70% overtime so at least the paycheck will be nice but damn I think my job is intentionally trying to kill me.  I forgot how much I REALLY HATE convenience stores and retail.  Screwing over your workforce is what they call good business I guess.

It's always funny when they say that overtime is voluntary. Because when you don't volunteer, it's more than likely you will find yourself looking for another job soon. Most employers are such fucking liars. The funniest part is when you sit in an interview and they basically want you to pledge your unwavering loyalty to them- I always have to keep from laughing out loud at that while I am thinking I'd rather have a red-hot iron shoved up my ass. :classic_biggrin:

Or when they say shit like "when you have time" more shit you can do when your long work list isn't long enough.

The only other country that spends more time at work than the US is Japan. All the other countries have more time off, more vacation.

Well, that's the point where you have a little area to sleep and a little fridge to fill your basic needs. I saw a funny meme one time where all the employees where chained to their workstation and they were all hooked up to life support.

Wtf is DDR....Dance Dance Revolution? Don't have either the game or the needed peripherals to play that...and I'm extremely bad at rhythm games..lack the coordination.

Anyway...I felt confident enough with mouse in my left hand and tried Diablo 3...farming bounties on Torment X without dying. So I guess I'm good for the rest of the healing process.

Been doing the same and I can't help but feel that there reaches a point where just making a custom case would be less complicated.

People who are new(-ish) or just have a very low post count trying to act like forum moderators.  Don't give us that "looking at this from the perspective of a moderator..." bullshit, you're just an uppity snot on a high horse, fuck right the hell off.

BMW owners piss me off quite a bit.

Just because I drive a 90s civic hatch doesn't mean you can make fun of my car and act like it's a piece of garbage. It's lasted longer than your car, and will end up lasting longer than your Euro trash BMW 328i. I've tried to tell you that new BMW's aren't worth it, just buy a Lexus and watch it last forever. But no, you had to have a BMW so you could act like a douche. Why did I ever call you a friend anyways? ?

Spoiler

Like rich people and corporations who get to write off everything to the point where they don't owe any taxes on their billions or the person who lives in poverty and falls into a low tax bracket which allows them not to pay any taxes? Which one are we talking about here?

It's kind of funny. When taxes are raised, it's the rich/upper class who pay for it. When taxes get lowered, it's the poor/middle class who pay for it.

Now do you see why poorer people vote for politicians who promise to raise taxes?

The ones who should be complaining are the owner operator truckers who can no longer use some per diems because it was part of Trump's tax cut for the rich. They pay $8,000 more on average than what they paid last year.

But yeah, give those rich billionaires a break because they pulled their boot traps up so far that the need new ones.

I laugh when gas prices go up. All I see are people who complain about the prices but are unwilling to limit their gas consumption by looking at more fugal ways to be conservative about it. Like people who sit in drive-thrus just burning gas waiting for their preservative enriched cheeseburger or people who make multiple trips across town because they don't know how to plan their routes...

"We need ta go ta Walmart, Dollar general, and Goodwill, but we have to go home after Walmart and rest before we head to Dollar General because they wont allow me to sit in the fire lane anymore and I'm tired of walking across the parking lot."

Gotta luv dat Merica mentality!

I drive a 21 yr old Mercedes Benz. I'm lucky that it doesn't tend to break down, because some parts for it are literally unavailable now.

So, I'm somewhere in the middle of your rant. Hondas endure because they're ubiquitous. Mercedes endure because they were built to never break down...

BMWs have always been status-mobiles, IMO.

Just spent 40 minutes finding clothes online, slowly and carefully picked out all the articles I needed.. finally came to the 'check out' then it said I needed to log in. I log in.. and all my orders are gone. 40 minutes of work just... gone.. So I decided I will not work on my wardrobe today. FUCK THEIR FUCKING WEBSITE.

Fucking damn lying arrested politicians and businessmen. They always get sick and can't show up on crucial investigation trials. they were perfectly healthy two days ago when stole millions and let poor employees without paychecks.

I fully respect someone that drives an older luxury car, an older Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, etc. There's no doubt in my mind that those old luxury cars were actually built for reliability and comfort in mind, but if you buy a new Mercedes or BMW, you're basically asking for trouble. And don't even get me started on land rovers. Lol

Okay, i'll bite. Beyond Skyrim is releasing cyrodil soon, buuut only for SE. I read a few reddit pages asking why only SE, and the usual BS answers of "It is more stable, no crashes, it is a magic special version of the game that can do no wrong, yada yada. Yeah, my ass, SE isn't a magic adaption of skyrim, it still crashes plenty if you don't know what your doing. They say that Cyrodil will only work using the memory management of SE, and that "every player" gets fps drops in LE in cities and that proves that Cyrodil will not work for LE. Guess what SE fankids, I never drop a frame in any city in skyrim on LE, and I don't crash even with a 500+ mod setup including 254 plugins, and even ugrids at 7 (Don't give me a lecture on ugrids 7, I have used it for years and never had a problem with the game getting "buggy" later) And my gpu is only a Gtx-1060 haha. Knowledge, plus all the tools available for LE, can make a pinto into a Ferrari and pretty much makes SE moot.

We're getting into politics here which is a no-no, but I'll be the dope and bite on this. I put it in a spoiler so people who don't want to read my griping don't have to.

Spoiler

I live near one of America's largest cities, and it pretty much thinks it gets to run my entire broke-as-hell state.  The newly elected governor (who got elected by said city since they can out vote the rest of the state) has just put through a buttload of tax increases including the one I referenced about the gas tax.  Now I'm lucky, I don't usually need to fill up on gas more than once per month (joys of a relatively short commute) or at most every two weeks during the winter.  (Never let your gas tank get below half full if you live anywhere that gets temps below freezing in winter.)  We don't have buses, or Uber, or even a regular taxi service here.  And since where I live is about ten miles from the middle of nowhere, walking to work isn't exactly an option. And I'm not the kind of asshole who will bike (even if I could) on roads with a 55 mph speed limit.  I really hate hearing the people who live in places that have public transportation (like pretty much everyone in said major city) poo-poo the price of gas going up, and voting for people (like said governor) who said that he was, without question, going to raise the taxes.  And I know they will find a way around the law that says they are supposed to use that money from the gas tax for road repair and maintenance.

On a personal note, it actually pisses me off the number of tax breaks cities offer to companies to "attract business".  I'm so glad that Big Company X is creating 450 jobs, but how much tax revenue could have gone to things like the public school system did we just miss out on for the next ten years?  Sure 450 jobs were "created", but how many of those are new jobs that will go to people from the area? Yeah, maybe that company would have gone to some other city, but is the tax revenue from those 450 jobs going to make up the difference to the potential revenue from that company? I'm no finance expert so I don't know for sure but I don't think it would.  And we know that nine years from now that company will up and move to a different city or state so they never have to pay those taxes.

And I drive my family nuts because I do plan my route like a maniac.

Oh, I was unaware of the politics rule. I went and read it and it makes sense for this site. I went a head and added a spoiler to my previous post as well to contain the spark if you will. Thanks for alerting me to that rule.

I read what you wrote and see where you are coming from. It's a legit complaint.
