When people had to pay per character to send any text, I could get behind the bastardized versions of 'English' being used. Gr8t - I get it. But lazy indoctrinated idiots can't stop with that nonsense even though now NO ONE pays per character and 99% have unlimited bandwidth making the concept antiquated.

 

This falls right in line with the spelling issues the quoted posts display. Even with spell checking which doesn't differentiate as long as 'it's a word' - all it takes is to proof read once before hitting submit. Lazy? Did I mention lazy? Those guilty will shrug their shoulders and shake their head - they don't get it. Why would I 'hire' you if you can't even spell correctly (on purpose). Is that the type of results and work ethic I want to pay for? (no) At this point the lackadaisical mentality takes over and words like 'boomer' get thrown around. Nice defense for ones obvious shortcomings.

it's amazing how a serie on netflix can save a dead game, it's ok that the update helped a lot but most of those people who started playing it was because of the serie. Most likely, companies will now start releasing these mini-series to advertise their game.

Just finished the shitshow that is Kenobi and the fifth episode of "the cringe of power".

I'll just continue re-watching Star Trek: DS9 now. That was some good cinema... and guess what? they had a diverse cast, too and topics like racism, sexism, too. The difference: The writing wasn't absolute horse poop.

 

Today, almost everything is about THE MESSAGE and shoving that shit down your throat as hard as possible.

I can think for myself thank you very much and don't need to be lectured about fucking diversity/feminism/whateverthefuckcomesnext every fucking time...

I should be happy that there are still people for whom uncertainity about re-running FNIS one extra time is the Question of the Day.

 

I also should be happy for dudes from my country which would gonna get laid, at last. Because they're single, they're leaving the country - and there are hella lot of girls inclined to become a kind of poor man's Trophy Wives for these lucky fellas.

 

But, somehow, I'm happy that one of my ex-employers, Wargaming, FINALLY started dessicating instead.

 

Weird times, weird reasons to be happy.

I have to recant a statement I made last year that I didn't personally know of anyone actually having COVID.  The company I'm partners in renegotiated our insurance rates and one of the NEW conditions was an antibody test and YEP I legit caught COVID.  Odd that I didn't get sick; no headache. body aches, keeling over dead, loss of taste, fever, shortness of breath, etc.

 

Did I actually get the kung-flu with no symptoms and I didn't know it?  Am I immune?  Is the insurance company lying so they can jack up the rates?  My GF has tested negative four times and I'm all over her...So WTF?

I legit had COVID.  It was like a rough flu for me - nothing more (feel like you're about to die; watch four hours of TV; eat some light stuff; go to bed; feel fine).
 

It was COVID though, apparently.

IIRC Disney said that the canon comes from the films only.   Big FU to all of the fans from 1977 who bought the comic books, toys and books.   I fear the day when someone will kick in my door and demand I give them the forbidden "Slave I" that my parents paid $9.00 for.  Got it in the early 80s and I still have Han Solo in carbonite.   Oh and yes, I put the stickers on myself, so they are not perfect.....but perfect enough for a boy of 11-12.

very cool this toy and about that disney fact that you talked about, unfortunately man, apart from clone wars tell me a movie or series that was a success how were the movies? answer is none,  anyone can mention mandaloriam but frankly? that serie is not all those things, the dialogues are not engaging, characters with the exception of baby yoda ( grogu ) are not convincing, luke returns again... seriously, it's amazing how they can't make a movie without mentioning Luke or Leia , before anyone say about han solo or rogue one, in rogue one although it is a good movie when vader appears he steals the scene completely and han solo was a very hyped movie but in return it was a very average movie. I could talk for hours, but what I really want is for disney to get to the point of delivering a movie or a series that has excellent dialogues and scenes, like a 2005 GAME that was star wars battlefront 2  and has the legendary 501 st journal with texts and badass scenes like the knightfall operation :

Here's another annoyance on the word front - this time of pronunciation which I've heard Americans and British use. I'm not sure if Americans don't differentiate but the British don't, at least where I come from.

 

Attribute - it has two different meanings an two different pronunciations. I hear this a lot on RPG character build-type videos and the wrong pronunciation is being used, i.e. the verb pronunciation is being used for the noun use.

Hope you never hear me say whorechestershire sauce.   My inner teenager comes out and I say "WHORE Chester Shire Sauce".   Also once told a ticket person at Paddington station that we would like to see "tra laugh lagard circle" .......and he looked at me and asked "Trafalgar"?  Also got scolded by a Flight Attendant when she saw my name, after a very polite and kind "welcome" she looked at me seriously and said "You really should speak German much better!"

so, yesterday I rewatched the first (James Cameron) Avatar movie.

There is an "updated version" for IMAX cinemas and is showing right now in preparation for the 2nd movie

well, was great to see the movie again, but I somehow got a wierd attraction to these blue thin/skinny alien females :D

and I just don't know why :D

I mean, yes, there a a lot of german words, that are pronounced wierdly compared to other german words with similar writing :D

 

but what I think is even worse, are germans, that speak english so bad, the grammar, the pronunciation, but they are super self confident with it :D

english is my second language and of course, as a non native speaker, I will always have an accent or whatever, but if even I can hear the (many) mistakes other people make, when speaking english, it must be really bad :D

I have had a stressful year. Almost as much as much as the last two years. Thanks Jerry! But this year has been personally stressful yet exciting in a way that I can't tell you because that would be spoiling the surprise. But yeah I've taken up journaling to ease my mind but I think it's making things worse. Kind of like when people teach you meditation and you get stuck inside your own head. Anyways I'm persisting despite my Skyrim addiction.

TS4 was finally limited on "What's New" (although there is apparently a way around it), but douchebagging it IS the mother of invention. Looks as LL bloggers are in for a rough time now. Patreon ads forever!!!!!!!!!!!
