Not really if i'm being honest, i've learned to sort of ignore their aggressive premium push and just download the mod. On principle i get why they're doing it but i do kinda dislike it, it's too on the face. What sucks though is when the mods in question are really big it takes a long time to download via MO since Nexus' free download speed is really low. So instead i manually download them through IDM and keep a record/list of those mods in case they get updated at some time, like i do with Loverslab mods.

Ever since they forced that upon us, it's become a burden for me because it's going through extra hoops. Especially if the mod contains a lot of files. And I open each file link in a new page, or rather tab just so I don't have to back track to the list of files to download. I've just lost the lack of downloading it at the moment and leave the tab open for days, or even months because I have that i'll get around to it later mindset. Didn't have that problem before. As for the delete. No. What I mean is when I go and check a certain mod, the author either hid it, or they removed it from Nexus. Thus,  the result of my laziness because of having to go through extra hoops is my downfall of grabbing the mod at the moment and just expecting to get around to it later. I even spent a year of just not even going to Nexus because of that and found myself back in that zone when I started downloading mods again. I literally have over 100 tabs open that are for Nexus mods. lol It's become overwhelming and I can't break out of that cycle. I remember using some browser addon someone made and posted on reddit to bypass the Nexus haggle, but that eventually stopped working.

That's just your bad practise.

Personally, I never download via my mod manager. I download to my PC so, e.g., I can get rid of any unwanted files in the archive before installing. I use the 'track' button so I get to know when a mod is updated.

Not to be judgy or rude but it seems like you're experiencing some serious procrastination issues, the whole keeping tabs open for days and get around to it later mindset, i'm very familiar with that. Usually about 70% of the mods being uploaded to Nexus monthly are completely irrelevant to me, so i can't say i have experience being overwhelmed by mod content in general. And i suppose since i don't hang out there too much i never noticed or remembered mods being hidden and removed.

Overall, Nexus' page designs are annoying and seem to be too similar to small time file hosting sites that bug you for premium every step of the downloading process through hoops and timers but i've learned to just shrug it off anyway. It's a nuisance that i've mentally blocked off, i suppose my life endeavors as of late are having a positive impact on my mentality lol.

I suggest just grabbing the mods you want right then and there. Just store it somewhere, like that fancy shirt you "can't find the time to wear" lol.

No one actually asked you, nor said you are "obligated" to write anything in response to what I wrote. But, I'm sure people in the rain forests and deserts take time to enjoy life as they can. Not everyone is a miserable sod. I'm sure what you wrote seemed to have made perfect sense to you as your incoherhent rant flew from fringes of your mind, but I see a pointless diatribe which rattles around like a BB in a boxcar. You seem to have a lot of anger, and pretty much unable to find anything in your life that is worth stopping for to enjoy. Simply to troll along from one post to the next, seeking to make yourself feel better by attempting (in vain) to make someone else or their point of view seem insignificant next to your self-important superiority... or apparent lack thereof. But, thanks for playing. Good luck with that self esteem issue.

Actually KHL asked the question that started this thread progression. I also like how you addressed jack shit of the actual context of therein, but rather offered the same greeting card level half assed optimism devoid of any actual method or means of achieving such.

My self esteem is fine, and any anger is pure projection on your part.

The current design is made specifically for phones, and functions about as well.

Dude that is super cynical not gonna lie. The way i see it, ladysmoks just said that it's important in life to sometimes take breaks, enjoy the moments and take that positivity forward. I didn't see any claims for context or anything at all so your comments look very odd, out of place and downright hostile.

Is there a problem i'm not seeing? What exactly is your main point here?

Which is a terrible move then, since they don't host mods for mobile games. Like, why have a mobile centric design for a service that'll predominantly be used on computers?

Yes. I agree... that is basically what the context of your mini saga means to me and anyone who isn't you. That you jump straight in with "colorful" phrases and expressions tells me you are either poorly educated or poorly mannered. Or, some abomination of the two. Optimism is what one makes of it. My life, good and/ or bad, is mine, which I choose not to share with dullards on public forums who troll about looking for frail waifs to victimize. Again, that your life is so dismal and bleak that trolling is your happiness... well, no one really cares. That a very old and simple thought like "life is a journey, but take time to stop and smell the roses" eludes you isn't my problem. Google it. There really is much more to be found on the internet than Japanese school girl poop porn. Try it. And again, thanks for playing. You win mindless troll of the day! 👍

Nothing cynical about it, as we've seen pretty handily from social media activism, which again circles around to people more than happy to dogpile something that doesn't fit their norm, or even a norm they've decided to adopt for the pretext of "following the current trend of morality", whether or not they actually believe this or not.

A relevant current one is trying to cancel David Letterman again (didn't know you could cancel someone twice, but hey it's a brand new year and according to google now that Biden and the Vice Electrocutioner in Cheif are in office a whole new era, which is kind of odd cause its sill looks like plain old february from here) "cause one time he was mean to Lindsay Lohan" and true to form the loudest person in this new crusade to save Lindsay's broken will and hurt feelings was found to have conveniently deleted their past posts calling Lohan and other of the Flasher 2000-2010 trending era "attention whores" and "media sluts". hunh. Also missing from the context is Letterman didn't want Lohan on the show to begin with.

Secondly, stopping to sniff the roses again matters greatly from place to place, and you expecting that if you advertise as such that all you should receive is warm fuzzies and rapt bliss is insulated at best. Travel the world without Travel Channel tourist goggles on and it's rather easy to see why people align in tribes, and those tribes don't get along very often with other tribes.

Also telling someone in a favela that lives with 9 other people in a single 5x8 room with literal sheet metal between them and open exposure to "hey man just sniff the roses bro," is slightly hypocritical. Just a bit. Maybe smarmy vapid lifeism advice is just that.

like the above post where someone tells me what I am and what I think without an ounce of actuality involved and still fails to address anything actually relevant to the topic. You were saying about trolling?

As to the former, Dark0ne makes far more money from advertising hits and traffic than paid redirects and premium accounts, and has made no bones about courting "ancillary funding" for furthering that money. Nexus being the largest mod repository is apparently secondary to being one the top twenty drive-by sites for gaming interests and advertising space means steady cash, especially now that google is actively integrating personal data as flat advertising metadata to sell and buy.

The vast majority are not new mods. And they are definitely not follower mods because there is by far an overwhelmingly amount of those everywhere. I would argue that it's more than 70%. And no worries. It takes a lot to offend me. I'll more than likely close those tabs as I have in the past.

Cool. I do see a lot of translations for mods though. Like here's a french version of this one mod, then there's a german translation for that exact same mod, then a spanish translation, then a portuguese translation followed by a turkish translation. Repeat that process for dozens of mods and you get at least three of them every week lol. I dunno, i just don't have that many mods that i'm interested in all things considered. Maybe i'm too bourgeois when it comes to modding lmao.

Have a good evening.

Dude...

Okay so just to kind of summarize what you're saying, we shouldn't "stop to smell the roses" because:

A) David Letterman is getting canceled.

B) Boe Jiden and Kamal Harrison are the American president and vice president.

C) Travel shows greatly exaggerate the allure of places they visit and people form tribes there and fight with other tribes.

D) People in favelas have terrible living conditions.

E) The owner of Nexus makes more money through ads than premium memberships and google is rather invasive about data collection.

F) Overall many fucked up things happen in the world on a daily basis.

Is this what you're saying? Did i get this right?

With a fair number of mods "deleted" for various reasons.  I made the mistake of cleaning off my FO4 and now some mods are gone.   TBH, I am not sure I will miss some of those mods, but as for prem membership, I opted for the one time lifetime payment option, back before FO4 came out.   Ah well, I guess it was silly to think that web sites would be like my old issues of Dragon Magazine.

Right now, I am thinking about how important a balanced diet is not only to organic beings, but for power grids. I have seen just how unhealthy it can be to rely too heavily on one fuel source which is still unreliable under even the slightest bit of stress on a regular basis let alone an environmental disaster.

I have to wonder how much nuclear material is part of a balanced meal, though.

I'm saying empty vapid platitudes offered by a literal Nice Guy are just that and should be treated as such. You do you. Just don't get butthurt if your Eternal Sunshine of the Empty Post gets mocked. (the 'you' in this post is not directed at any particular person)

As in, if I'm convinced I will start using it for good or go back to sticking to low poly head mesh for character faces.

You have two high poly alternatives that I'm aware of:

Citrus and the HP head from the Victor Plexus site.

I've never tried COTR. Used to use Citrus but have been using the VP HPH for 6-12 months (guess).
