HDT SMP for SSE?

Just to note that on Oldrim, you just install allinone SMP and UUNP will work like really good with SMP, but I think for some reason you have to rename multiple things on SSE and that gives me a headache 

Check @Gromilla's sig links. You should be able to obtain an all singing and dancing UUNP based body with collision proxies and SMP controllers from there.

Thanks, I remember him when he bring the 1st SMP bodies with Bodyslide with HDT if I remember past year when this post was sorta small, thanks for reminding about him! Just checked and effectively, you're correct, there's 2 UUNP SMP bodies ready to use with Bodyslide and their respective XMLs

 

Someone knows the difference between normal UUNP-SMP and GRUUNP-SMP?

 

EDIT: tested both, GRUUNP-SMP is exactly like UUNP speaking in body shape, and UUNP-SMP (from Gromilla MF) is not that similar BUT it has anus collision, if someone's wondering and uses UUNP (tbh probably is just really few people using it haha)

 

EDIT2: AAAA I CAN'T MAKE COLLISION WORK HAHA, well this gonna take some time EDIT3: made it work, can sleep in peace

Oh, so there isn't a SMP UUNP version for SE? It looks like the Skyrim version requires SMP+PE which isn't available in SE.

Hey guys,

 

So I noticed there's an update for both Skyrim & SKSE, however on the chinese website there doesn't seem to be any update for HDT just yet.

Am I right to assume that I shouldn't update my game for the time being?. I figure the answer is don't update, but thought I'd ask in case.

 

Also, it appears that the chinese site has changed its name from 9damao to zhongyidiantong, hence the reason my bookmarks weren't working.

Correct. Don't update until every mod you have with a dll is updated. There are some dlls that don't need updated, but you'll need to look at the mod page to find that out.

Hey guys, I'm really sorry to ask this out of the blue, but I'm not sure where to post this question.

 

Basically, I'm simply looking to install HDT for cool cloaks BUT for Skyrim SE ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17416?tab=files ).
The mod that I wanted to use requires some files from some weirdass asian website that apparently deleted those pages. So I'm kinda stuck. Some of the comments said I could find a big topic with the files on LL but I admit it's been ages since I've spend time here so I don't really know where to look for compatible files with SSE.

 

Can anyone just point me to the right direction? I'd be really grateful !

Hey, I've been working on the DD SMP chain armors so they work correctly. I've fixed the boots and gloves and they look great now but the prison chains are giving me trouble. I'm having trouble getting 3 bones to match up so they look linked together. Any suggestions on how to get a constraint point for 3 different bones when all have mass to line up?

There's a lot of "loose terminology" and misinformation here lately, a lot more than usual. I don't know much, but I do know some things:

• No physics engine in SSE has the initials "PE" anywhere in its name. It means "Physics Extensions" and is commonly used only as part of Oldrim's primary physics engine, Havok-based HDT-PE, which is completely incompatible (due to the xml's) with SMP. So the acronym "SMP-PE" is pretty much nonsensical gobbledygook even though you could make the argument that the PE refers to generic physics extensions as opposed to HDT-Physics Extensions. HDT-PE extends the Havok physics engine, which now belongs to Microsoft and so we are not allowed to use it any more because Microsoft. SMP relies on Bullet physics.
• Oldrim HDT-PE mods will (generally) work OK in SSE but the xml's have to be rewritten from scratch. This is a rare skill, which is why you do not see many Oldrim HDT-PE mods converted to SSE, or many new or repaired wig mods being produced.
• Any HDT-PE or SMP mesh from Oldrim will probably work fine right out of the box. It is best practice to convert them to SSE specs with Nif Optimizer as Kokan suggested.
• Any SMP mod from Oldrim will probably work fine right out of the box- the Oldrim SMP xml's should work fine in SSE. The trouble is that SMP only became "a thing" in Oldrim not long before SSE launched for free and droves of players abandoned Oldrim for SSE. This is why there are so few SMP mods in Oldrim.
• @Shizof, the author of the alternative CBPC Body Physics/Collision engine, which inflicts a much less burdensome fps penalty on our computers than HDT-SMP does, has said that he hopes to make CBPC work with cloth physics (equippable items like wigs, capes, earrings, gowns, skirts, etc.) as well as body physics. Further, he hinted that his goal was for CBPC cloth physics to work with SMP and Oldrim HDT-PE mods with no modification whatsoever of their xml's! If he succeeds, a new day will dawn in SSE.

SMP has actually been unofficially updated by Andreis. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post it here, but you can find it in either Doc & Jeir's discord server, or in the Nordic (or Yashed) Guide's discord server.
