Why not? It was on my mind.

maybe, but before being on topic, it has to be going along the rules, and political stuff isn't doing that

So much for Ukraine being 'the hill' globalist want to commit economic harikiri on.

Another complex issue that defies "easy" classification or compartmentalization.   Guess we need a set of politicians who have played Fallout 4 and know, as every FO player that "War, war never changes".    Or, in this case, where there is a will to wage war, war will be waged regardless of economic cost.

Were you 'Team Amber' or 'Team Johnny'? I was more 'Team Oh look, two sad, unimportant people fighting over money when they both have more than they need'.

Yeah that pretty much sums up People Magazine.

Catch 22. The only way to get rid of the "will" is to get rid of the human.

Though... I am reminded of a certain economic theory that could work.

If the Western media and politicians had just been honest from the beginning a war could have been avoided.  They did the same thing with Libya and Syria; the narrative is always better than the truth...until the truth comes out and they're all exposed as the pathological liars they are.  Then they pretend they never said anything, just like they're doing now with Ukraine.  FOX/CNN/MSNBC; they all fucking lie and push the same rotten bullshit agenda and talking points.  Whenever a story breaks now I watch news from India, Vietnam or Singapore to see what's really happening.  I haven't caught them in a lie...YET.

Would you care to tell us how this war could have been avoided?

No, because it would be political.  Just search for the Minsk Accords to see what the E.U, the U.S. NATO and the Ukraine did (or didn't do) and WHY.

EDIT: and I'm done talking about this because I don't want to waste my time arguing facts and commons sense with people who don't know how to listen.

"I only watch news from countries politically aligned with current russian business interests and hee haw authoritarian governments famous for slanting everything including food (seriously, who the fuck nationalizes fucking food), I love the especially the part where muslims are dirty nonpeople, it makes me really hard."

the arguing "facts" part is the best.

As @Kendo 2 says, politics, but I can post news links... I think... and let you decide.

To really teter on the edge, I point out the secular view from the last 3 sources. Kind of like cats and dogs getting on the same page!

Then look up Azov, Aidar and Dnipro 1 and 2. Then look up Stephan Bandera.

Not supporting them without knowing who and what they were in 2014 would have been a good start. It started well before Minsk.

I did.

The Minsk accord came about after Russia and Russian backed forces invaded Ukraine back in 2015. The purpose of the accords/protocol/deal was to, in the first instance, bring about a cease-fire and to lay out a way forward which both parties, Russia and Ukraine, could agree on.

From my understanding the first try failed due to both sides being unable to hold to a cease-fire and the second largely due to an impasse because Ukraine wanted the Russians to leave before the talks and referendum and the Russians not wanting to leave until after.

What any of this has to do with what the E.U., the U.S.A. or NATO did or didn't do is beyond me as is how this affects the facts that Russia has invaded Ukraine and that all the media I have seen are reporting it as the act of aggression that it is.

Defending America in any fashion is fucking pathetic. America (USA) has done more harm to people of color than any other country in the entire world. America is the most racist invading sovereign countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Korea, etc. The USA backs Taiwan which clearly belongs to China. The world would be better off if America was wiped off the face of the planet. Fuck Capitalism.

None of your links are relevant to my question to Kendo.

None of your links alter the fact that Russia invaded Ukraine (twice).

I'm European. I am fully aware of the neo-Nazis and other far-right groups that have appeared in the former USSR states. One sees them at most footie games involving teams from these places including Russia. This applies to both club and national team level.

That there are neo-Nazis in Ukraine does not alter or excuse the fact that Russia has twice invaded Ukraine. Nor is the fact that there are neo-Nazis in Ukraine anything of a shock-horror revelation - it has been well documented on the British and European media sites I use for many years.

The E.U. et al supported a democratic country which had been invaded by Russia. Nobody thought that Ukraine was whiter than white. Zelenskyy came to power on a 'anti-establishment' and 'anti-corruption' platform. All this was widely known and reported in Europe.

Yes, it started when Russia and Russian-backed forces invaded Ukraine.

Who is defending America here?

Depending upon what you mean by 'people of colour' you might want to have a read of a history of Islam not least for when and why slavery was abolished.

Ok, that's enough with the politics - anyone participating is well aware of the rule, even before our recent reminders.

So the new sonic movie looks cool. ?

Nor that you cannot read what a woman from Lugansk gives you.

So, to borrow from Kendo 2

So, what's on my mind on the what's on your mind thread, would be about people with no clue of facts making silly statements and taking positions based on their very limited perspective of reality, which when viewed from the broader outside, appears to have been thoughts formed either from a lack of knowledge on a particular subject, and unwillingness to take their head from their ass and actually see what is going on, or just being satisfied with mommy spoon feeding them.

I feel better now!

What can I not read? I don't dispute any of it and none of it absolves anyone of anything.

Well the Titanic will sink soon and create a lot more room, so just give it some time.

I haven't even thought of that. It would certainly help with the limited storage.

But, like, where does he sleep...? On that little strip of free bedspace that seems like the only being that could fit there is either me or a pet cat?

Oh, wait, no, you share the coffin? How romantic~! ?
