What technically ends up killing you is a secondary infection with another pathogen because without an immune system, even harmless things will kill you. Notice we have never had a shut down for HIV (or any STD's). We never had a national panic. STD's kill more people every year than covid. Did we have a sex ban? LOL! Instead, we tried to educate people so they could make good decisions and hopefully avoid getting or passing it on. Only 9k actually died only from covid alone. All others had an average of 2.6 comorbidities and the vast majority were elderly. Most of these comorbitdities were pre-existing before getting covid. So the getting covid and then "getting something else that kills you narrative" is just not true for the vast majority of people. The data is pretty hard to argue with. Based on that, for everyone under 50, and zero comorbidities, we should be allowed to get back to work and play as normal. We identify and protect those who are vulnerable and go on with life. In the end, this all comes down to getting the correct data to folks in a way they can understand it and do a risk assessment. Then they can decide how they want to act. There is a chance every day that you get killed if you get out of bed. For most folks, that risk is so low that they do not fear to get out of bed. This is what I have been campaigning for. Give us the honest truth and let the people decide if they want to go to church, school, work, the gym, concerts, sporting events and so on.
Ernest Lemmingway Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 I owe @gregathit an apology for my emotional posts weeks prior over masks. I still stand by the idea that they do something but the science has now conclusively proven they don't stop viruses. And the post of Tim Pool's video is something I saw on YouTube when it went up, with the facts regarding the true fatality rate of COVID fitting better with what I've seen as a lab tech than lame stream media's narrative. The CDC unfortunately didn't make the facts clear or obvious because they hid the post on a page most casual visitors would never visit and even then the conclusions were hidden in the notes at the bottom of the page. Hand washing, keeping your distance from others, and not touching your face remain excellent advice, though. The first should be standard practice at all times, IMO. What irks me is Twitter trying to say it's "fake news" when Trump says it but lets CNN's report stay up. Frankly I'm so sick and tired of the lies from all legacy and establishment media I can't trust any of it. Just give us the facts as they're known and then STFU. I don't want commentary and editorial with my news. Nor do I want some group's personal prejudices tainting their reporting.
Canaris Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 >Trump supporters get literally shot in the streets while lamestream media cover for communists that did it Fucking Hitler Germany started like that ffs..

You don't owe me anything, now or ever. You argued a position. I argued a position. We were both passionate and emotional. I responded quite poorly upon reflection. I'm sorry about that as well. A discussion should never be about "winning" or "being right". It should be about vetting that position until enough evidence is presented that one position or the other become untenable. Sometimes this never happens, that is fine as well. Facts should win in the end. We are human beings and we have emotions. Sometimes we let those emotions overwhelm our logic. No shame in that. Sometimes it is even a very necessary thing. Who, thinking logically, is going to charge into a burning building to rescue an old lady who is probably going to die in a few years? Compassion overwhelms logic and into the building you go. This is what I feel is the greatest danger and at the root of our current problems. People are manipulating our fears and even our compassion to overwhelm our logic. We must learn to recognize when we are being taken advantage of for no good reason. I will tell you who I think owes everyone an apology and that is the media, the CDC, china, WHO, and US politicians on both sides of the aisle. For manipulating the facts, for manipulating the data (or you know who for refusing to share data) and so on. I think the people of America should file multiple class action lawsuits against all of these parties for huge amount of damage that has been caused. I think some even should be looking at criminal charges and definitely prison terms. That and we should all boycott all professional sports with the exception of golf. They were the only one not to go woke. The other pro athletes need to be made to understand the pain that normal Americans have felt who lost their jobs and many lost much more. As for china, I want to see Mr. T slam them with tariffs so high that we make all that money back. Yes, we will have to build factories to make parts and assemble goods elsewhere but Mexico would certainly be receptive and yes, it would raise the costs of those goods. A short term sacrifice for a long term gain.

Darkpig Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Quote I'm sorry but that is just plain wrong. you are not sorry so don't pretend you are. Quote You do NOT have to have a permit to open carry a gun in Wisconsin. Zero part of what he did was illegal. Zero. I guess you declined to watch the video I posted from a lawyer that practiced in Wisconsin (admittedly it was rather long video, so I don't blame you, but it was the most detailed I could find that explained things down to a T). The self defense laws up there are very broad and there will never be a conviction. The kid won't even get a misdemeanor. Okay didn't know. The laws did permit him to be there. Wisconsin sounds like a great place to go hunting.? Quote As to killing someone, you have much less control over that than you might think. Between normal car accidents, drunk drivers, crazy folks and criminals being let out right after being arrested you could easily find yourself in a kill or die situation. True, to some degree you can definitely help minimize these chances, but you can never erase the off chance that you will be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He could have done plenty like stay home but he didn't. Oh well. I enjoy a midnight stroll through the woods so I can't judge. Reginald_001 Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 I was never beaten or spanked as a kid and I have a huge respect for authority. You just need to be a good fucking parent. Beatings are weakness from the parents side, pure weakness. Beatings bread emotional weakness, because the parent's arguments have failed. My parents arguments NEVER failed, when they chastised me, I felt PROPERLY chastised. And WHY THE FUCK is chastised with an S and not with a Z.. Took me fucking years to switch from UK to US english and now this fucking mess?

Took me fucking years to switch from UK to US english and now this fucking mess? I was spanked A LOT and turned out just fine. So I would disagree with your conclusion. Now my sister, a stern tone from my parents and she would burst into tears and that was enough of a punishment for her to stop doing whatever she had been doing. I think it all comes down to a consistent discipline system (whatever that consists of), backed up by a FUCKTON of love and patience. For me as a child, words were meaningless. While they droned on, I tuned out. Then went right back to my piss poor behavior if I even stopped while they were talking at all. I needed a negative physical consequence to be deterred from my chosen behavior. You could present your arguments to me all day long to zero effect. Time outs were meaningless. Positive reinforcement also was meaningless. I would break things, punch things and people, including them. My folks tried everything. Finally they switched to corporate punishment when I was around 8. I was a terror. It took almost a year before I finally just did what I what I was told. My brothers, they were like my sister, the threat of discipline was enough for them. As to arguments with a 2 year old, I've never seen that work with any kid ever. I have seen physically restraining them in a time out and lots of other things besides spanking. I've seen positive rewards systems that focus on that, rather than punishments so much. But hey, I would submit that coming from a family of 7 (and being the oldest so I saw what was done to me and all the others) that different kids require different approaches. I'm grateful I was spanked. I've told my folks that many times. As for their arguments, well, they are both highly educated people with doctorates. I've learned to take their advice EVERYTIME, as when I didn't, I've very much regretted it. So it wasn't a weakness with what they were saying or how they said it. A kid has to learn boundaries. How they learn that.........well.........I think that is less important than the fact that they learn them. Again, provided that love and support are part of the discipline program and not just beatings. Many kids just aren't learning boundaries today. We can see easily see these idiots in action as they scream to get rid of police and then turn right around and scream "for" the police when their lives are threatened. Which is it moron? And spellings in US english........don't get me started. ROFL!!!!

Doomdriven Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 my list of things that piss me off would be too long but lets just say.... professional porn in general. its way too fake for me to enjoy even a second of it and its often times disgusting af. specially when they try and fake homemade videos. or if they plaster "step sister" and shit in their titles just to get more likes and attention. aaaaand dodgy porn sites with weird background trackers and ads ontop of the video that block the video unless you click it away, in which case the ad opens anyways. even worse then the play button itself is an ad in disguise.
