As long as it is others and not 'me' eh? Seat belts, air bags, traffic lights, road markings, road signs and a shed load of laws all designed to make things traffic safer (not safe). What a waste of money - people know how to drive safely, right? More or less can always be done... but STD's are spread through choice, more people making conscientious decisions is better all around. I think the part of my point that you removed is more relevant than what you kept in. To be clear, I'm saying that people who have at risk people in their homes may have to take extra precautions, or even stop working in high risk environments... The point is STD's are more deadly and nothing at all is done about it. Same, if the only thing to be locked down was senior living and places that have folks that are elderly and/or have comorbidities. This is pretty obvious based on the data. Now cases most likely would have gone up, but if you are under 50 and don't have any comorbidities then you recover completely, so cases are irrelevant. Good luck. There isn't a politician alive or dead that has the guts to lockdown or restrict sex. But hey, if you want to die on that hill, go for it. What in the world would make you have an attitude like that? That is just a horrible thing to think and say! Shame on you for typing such a thing. That is just awful no matter how you slice it. I feel ill that someone could say something so sick and twisted. I have to disagree with you on one point there. Every dead politician from any point prior to the 20th Century did restrict sex. There are still plenty enough living politicians today who restrict it outside of areas 'tainted' by European colonialism (and many areas which were yet reverted back to their old ways). There is nothing quite like hearing an old codger casually state that if the community found out that a minister was gay that he would be finished and know immediately that he does not mean that only the minister's career would be over. There are even threads on this site filled with people grousing about such.

I'm not talking about porn, I'm not talking about prostitution, I'm not talking about strip clubs. I'm saying sex. First off, there would be no way to enforce it and second it would be such an invasive law that folks would not stand for it. This was my point. Now Europe...........I would not be surprised to see them pass such a silly law. Especially GB when they do crap like this: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5947043/Residents-told-paddling-pool-pose-risk-burglars.html Now I'm not saying GB has the corner on the market for dumb laws, the US has some as well. But kiddie pools........really?

I made the point about how STDs are spread. 54 minutes ago, gregathit said: Same, if the only thing to be locked down was senior living and places that have folks that are elderly and/or have comorbidities. Now that is a straw man as I never suggested any such thing. You made the comparison between how Covid-19 and STDs are dealt with and I produced a link showing that fatalities from STDs are going up in your country. This suggests that the way STD is being dealt with leaves room for improvement. 1 hour ago, gregathit said: (Two can play this game.......LOL!) It's know as the 'Daily Heil' over here. As an example: This week we had one of it's major journos, Richard Littlejohn chastising the nation for not going back to work. He, like most journos, works from home anyway and his home is in Florida. 1 hour ago, GimmeBACON said: "That's life, that's what all the people say You're ridin' high in April, shot down in May" -Frank Sinatra Dean Kay and Kelly Gordon actually. He got a "Happy International Women's day " email from Tiffany and Co at 3:10, and that company doesn't send you shit until you prove you are hard core. That is the mark of a true OG. I bet Run DMC, NWA, Easy E, Dr. Dre or early Snoop get those kinds of emails, probably because they weren't this kids level of triple threat.

While I think it is funny, the real story is "we own the land, so we will be the ones being sued." CYA laws tend to be pretty stupid, but here in the US, we have one primary law that comes before death and taxes, and that is: Lawyers get paid first.

I am not trying to be cute or start an argument but I have heard both interchanged often. Liberals desire a freer society with greater opportunities for all while Leftists are obsessed with bending the wills of others, Nature and possibly Reality itself to fit their particular notion of Utopia. [Abolitionist= Liberal. Socialist=Leftist] Liberals tend to make things more fun (most artists, writers, musicians and performers tend to fall into this category) while Leftists are professional killjoys. [This holds true for everything, including fandoms. For example, Liberals made the Furry Fandom appealing initially and drew in people to give it a look-see while Leftists turned it into ground zero for their nonsense, driving a lot of people away, burning up much of the good will built up in the first decade or so of the fandom almost instantly.] Liberals tend to innovate where Leftists can and will unintentionally regress a society whenever it suits their purposes in the name of Equity. The lack of a distinction drawn between the two is intentional since it tricks Liberals into helping out Leftists who do not realize that they are working against their interests until it is too late and no number of op-eds, comedy monologues or open letters can reverse the harm done by their actions.

Again, these kinds of videos make me question a great many things. The follow up video to this (posted 22 hours ago) does feature a judge ordering the records sealed and all videos to be taken down to preserve a jury pool. Again, using zoom for confidential court proceedings is not smart at all, so the fact that the second video is now on YT increases the number of questions. If the YT poster is arrested for violating the court order, that would be something, but there is so little information available to the general public (for very good reasons), I don't think people should grab the torches and pitchforks just yet. Just have them handy.
