Olivia Newton-John passed away at 73.

Some older guys like me will remember her for some early videos with Travolta.

Hand on heart - she gave me my first boner (that I can remember). My very first celebrity crush.

Her music did nothing for me, but that is neither here or there, her performance in Grease was fucking awesome.

Good memories.

Wait, don't you mean Xanadu???  What movie is that video from???????  Jeesh  at least pick a movie she is known for.

Spoiler

It hit my wife harder than me to hear of her death as she identified as Sandy since my choices of girls to date were more......Rizzo like.

Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II of England, died at age of 96.

This proves that nobody is immortal.

Did she pass away then? I've only heard she was in a bad condition.

RIP if so.

Edit: Yep now it's hitting all the news sites. RIP Queen Elizabeth II.

Rest in peace Queen Elizabeth II after a long life of service to your nation

An Age passes

Indeed.

Long live the king, Charles III.

(If we were still in the EU it would have been Charles 33.3%)

I wonder if the rhyming slang will be updated. ?

As a Canadian, I've always known of a queen.  I did shut-up and listen when she spoke, even though she's not my reigning whatever.  Commonwealth though.

Since I can remember.

RIP QEII

Yea it's wild. She was my great grandmother's queen (she lived to be over 100), my grandmother's, my father's and then mine. Hell I was convinced she'd outlive me! She was never the same after her husband died :(

And here I thought mamy Lizbeth was lizard! Aw...!

...Wait a minute, perhaps it's a faked death taking advantage of her old age, handing over the operations to her colleague - her son?!

Kidding haha, she was a rather cool lady and I can tell the world is less for her loss even without knowing her personally, I've even set a candle alight since I learnt of the news and it's not blown itself out of air yet nor is it running out of wax.

Antonio Inoki passed away at age of 79.

Probably not many of you will remember him.

He was one of the first wrestlers from the 70s. He was from Japan.

His character was also inside a very old cartoon called "Tiger Mask".

Inoki and Fray Tormenta is the reason Tekken exists. After 2 the "family problem" took over, but before then the supernatural angle was covered by the Kings and their mysterious Jaguarandi masks.

Airdance. A tremendous friend. I miss her every day I come to this board. I miss our conversations, our banter, our flirts. Some days, she was the only reason I was here. Sometimes I cling to the desperate hope a refresh of the page will find a wayward message of hers, sitting here by her hand.

A wonderful woman, a better companion, a vital piece of me, washed away by the tide.
