A few days later, in Reconciliation Park, between Heywood and Corporate Plaza. Namaste people! Welcome to my weekly yoga session! Stretch your body and take a deep breath... One of the hardest exercises to do, but one of the simplest to see: touching your toes or feet with your hands while sitting straight on the ground. You can tell by the look on my face that I'm struggling to achieve it, but you know the saying: after effort... Comes comfort. After packing my yoga mat in my backpack, I had a burger at the park's food court. A royale with cheese, as the French say. Well, I can assure you it tasted great in my mouth! Just as I was about to take the subway back to the apartment, I received a phone call from my old friend Viktor. "Hi kid, how's life? I hear you're hanging out with Judy, that's good! Listen, can you come to the Afterlife right now? I was having a drink with Rogue, I told her about your feats, she wants to meet you for a gig." "Uh, sure, but I just got out of my workout and I'm still in my sports clothes..." "Don't worry, you have business with the boss, no one will care. See you there!" The Afterlife was located in Little China, in Watson's district. Rogue's legendary reputation as the best fixer in town made the club famous, since she was also its landlady. If you wanted to make a name for yourself in this line of work, this was the place to go. I could use this opportunity to honor my promise regarding Arasaka. "Hi handsome, I have a meeting with Rogue, can I pass?" The bodyguard remained stoic, waiting for her boss's approval. Eventually, Viktor stepped in to let me through. "It's okay Weyland, she can join us! Eleanor, please have a seat!" Viktor went off to the bar to let me chat one-on-one with Rogue. "So you're the one known as Victoria in the Corpos world. Cute outfit." “You've done your research, so you know what I'm looking for.” “Exactly. I've got a job for you Eleanor, do it right and you'll get your shot at revenge on Arasaka. I guarantee you first-rate intel." "Tell me more about the gig." "I have a nomad courier missing since dawn. She was supposed to cut a deal with Militech but I'm afraid she's been double-crossed. Anyway, find her and the cargo. I'll send her last coordinates to your phone." "In open desert, the perfect wilderness to clear out any problems. Do you think she's still alive?" "Probably, Militech won't kill her until she talks. And good luck getting her to say anything." "Okay, Rogue, I'm on it. I just have to go back to my place and get geared up first." "Viktor will drive you home, see you Eleanor." After a drive through Night City, Viktor dropped me off around the corner near my apartment. He lit himself a cigarette before closing our conversation in the car. "I wish you good luck, Eleanor. Live your best life with Judy and do whatever you think is right, keep her close to you no matter how bad things get." "Thanks Viktor! I'll try to do it, I promise. Why does this look like goodbye?" "Because I'm going on vacation! Thanks to you, I've earned enough eddies to drag my old carcass out of Night City! Keep the car, a gift from Rogue." "Well, I'll just have to get on with the job... Until we meet again, Viktor." I went upstairs, took a quick shower and changed into combat gear. Militech was another corpo, specializing in weapons manufacturing and private military contracts. In my opinion, Rogue's nomad was intended to steal their wares, got caught nosing around and held captive until she ratted out her employer. Not on my watch. I got in the car and headed for the desert. The coordinates pointed to the Sunshine Motel, a vacant establishment but with military trucks parked out front. No doubt, Militech had stationed themselves, their merchandise and the nomad prisoner here. I stashed the car and moved behind the concrete barrier, pistol drawn. Scouting operation: Militech vehicles, robots and turrets programmed to defend the area, with a few armed guards. No problem, I just had them engage each other. What intrigued me more was the voices coming out of the motel's upstairs window. I needed to approach discreetly. As I circled the motel, I was able to climb up to the second floor. A guard emerged from the room and shouted in the direction of the lowered voice. "Stop bitching, I'll be back after a break. You'd better think about what to say when I come back if you want this to stop..." The prisoner must have been detained here, in this room, probably restrained. Only one way to find out... I walked into the room with the handgun aimed forward. The closer I got to the toilets, the more a foul smell assaulted my nostrils: a mixture of urine and excrement disgusting for my nose. An efficient way to torture someone easily... The nomad was alive and well, hanging from the carabiner with ropes that kept her aloft. Militech's staff had stripped her topless and barefoot, leaving only the jeans. She had to suffer the bathroom's stench, but welcomed my presence. "Please untie me, I can't stand the smell any longer..." "You must be Panam, I've been assigned to find you. Let's get the hell out of this place!" Once untied, I carried her out of the bathroom. She had lost all muscle tone and needed a little help. Something that caught my eye when I held her in my arms was how opulent her breasts were, and natural ones too! "Hang in there, we still have a task ahead of us." I laid Panam on the overturned mattress. She coughed to clear the remains of the vile smell before gasping for air. "Listen, my name's Eleanor. I've been sent by your fixer, Rogue, to locate you and your merchandise. We should get moving, the guard watching you has gone to the roof. Come on, we can deal with him." "I owe you one, girl, thanks." "Don't mention it, but first we'll go through this mess together, okay?" We took cover behind some Militech crates while I hacked into the drones and turrets at the motel entrance. “Great, this diversion should come in handy... Now about the cargo, where is it?" Panam didn't answer me, but I heard a deep growl, the sound of someone out for revenge. Panam wasn't messing around, half-naked and fearless, she charged straight at the guard who had interrogated her earlier, delivering a left kick to his upper torso. Caught by surprise, he crashed into the wall. I could only watch, my pistol aimed at them. I followed Panam's footsteps onto the roof overlooking the motel's outer courtyard. "Okay Eleanor, that's the stuff, in the garage. A Militech prototype vehicle with armored defenses, automatic turrets and missile launchers. A high-tech jewel with a big payoff if you've got the right contacts." "Alright, what's your plan for stealing it?" "I won't be much help, I've got no clothes and no weapons, but I can use your hacks to sneak into the garage. Security-wise, you'll have one or two patrols and the big guy guarding the truck to take out." "On my first gunshot, you seize control of the Militech machines. Let's go." I went down to the courtyard. Not much activity, just a guard watching the horizon and the heavy guy standing next to the vehicle. I shot the first guy, giving Panam the green light to turn the robots against their masters. I ran for cover behind the armored crates. Meanwhile, the motel entrance was also buzzing with bullets. Obviously, the big guy had his own autonomous robot. There was no way to hack into it, so I opted to spray him with lead in the head. When the guard's heavy machine gun overheated, I used one of my brain implants to disable it entirely. This opening gave me a chance to retaliate, so I dashed towards the by-now unarmed man. It was time to strike the final blow. Once in range, I kicked his knee to fend him off before coldly executing him with a gunshot to the head. The motel fell somewhat quiet again. I heard footsteps on my left and aimed in that direction. The last Militech guard was there, knocked out by Panam the nomad with a single punch to his face. She spoke loudly: "What are you waiting for? Grab the keys off the dead guy and let's get the hell out of here, I'm driving!" Panam had set course for the small wilderness town of Rocky Ridge, northeast of Night City. On the way, she told me its unfortunate demise. "With the highway expansion underway, the locals hoped to bring some prosperity back to their place. When the project was suspended, it created the opposite effect, a mass exodus to Night City. Rocky Ridge became just another ghost town among the hundreds, if not thousands, in California. Anyway, this is where we'll warehouse the truck, to keep it safe until I get in touch with my client." Panam parked the armored truck in the derelict Rocky Ridge gas station. We assessed the situation outside, taking a quick overview of recent events. "We fucking did it! I don't think I'd have made it without your help, girl... Many thanks for saving my ass." "It was my pleasure, I couldn't let go those luscious breasts..." "Ahah look who's been staring at my body the whole time! Let's get a drink, I'm so thirsty." The nomad knew her way around and took me to the bar opposite the gas station. The place was also abandoned, but enough booze remained to keep it running for a while. "Take your pick Eleanor, plenty to choose from!" "I've got a favor to ask, since I just rescued you... So, if I contact you one day, will you be able to help me, Panam?" "I owe you one, Eleanor. Of course I'll lend a hand, I know the area better than anyone!" "Great, I'll let you close the deal. I'm returning to Night City, until next time!" After this busy job, I managed to find my way back to Night City to spend some time with my sweetheart Judy, at her apartment. We sat on her couch and talked about the day's events. "Go into the desert, eliminate bad guys, recover an armored car, save a half-naked girl... Let's just say I had a great time today!" "Did you? Should I be worried about this chick?" "Nah, even if she was pretty hot, with breasts twice my size." "I'm sensing a bit of envy around here..." "You bet I am, I know someone who could have had fun with those!" "Speaking of fun, how about a little quality time Eleanor? I've missed you since that night at the trailer." As Elenwen's little cousin, my duty is to serve the Thalmor. My cousin is the pride of the family, so I want to help raising our family's rank in the Aldmeri Dominion, too. I want to be like her someday. While she was organizing a noble party in the Embassy, I was assigned to guard the Northwatch Keep. With a few soldiers, I went to the fort and waited the new orders. A few weeks ago, a convoy of soldiers with a few wizards arrived. They were guarding a nord in rags. Nobody explained me what was happening nor I did recieve new orders. I limited myselft to keep inside the fort. Nobody could guess that a self-proclamed Dragonborn was going after that prisoner. The attack was really quick. I heard the clashing swords and went outside the interrogation room. I commanded a few guards to come with me and fight, but the number of enemies was greater than our forces. All of my soldiers were defeated. I was alone. I didn't saw the Dragonborn, only his mercenaries covered in my soldiers' blood. I threatened them, gave them a chance to give up. But they were thirsty for more blood. I fought as hard as I could, but they managed to disarm me. They pushed me onto the ground and I closed my eyes, waiting for the final stab. But it never came. When I opened my eyes again, they were laughing. Then, one of them began to undress his pants and I realized I was about to get raped and humiliated by that nord scum. I don't know how many hours passed. They used every hole of my body and when the mercenaries got tired of me, they left. I managed to stand up and went to the interrogation room as fast as I was able to. The prisoner wasn't there, and the interrogator was dead, just like the rest. I was the only survivor of that slaughter. And that was the last Dragonborn's mistake. I'd take my revenge, soon or late. I trained myself in the art of assassination. I become a mercenary and at last I was able to afford a proper armor for my revenge. I followed the tracks of the Dragonborn through all Skyrim. But I lost his trace at Riverwood. I asked several citizens, but nobody answered my questions. I knew the Dragonborn was near, but nobody was willing to collaborate. I found an unhappy married man at the mill and made him talk through the pleasure. I gave him what he wanted in exchange for some information. We sneaked out through the plants and I let him play with my body for a while. When we finished, he told me that the Dragonborn passed by Riverwood some weeks ago and indicated me where he was leading to. That stupid Dragonborn can't hide from me much longer. A few days later, in Bunker Hill. My wanderlust led me to Bunker Hill, a great place to buy and sell about anything found in the Commonwealth. Weapons, clothes, drugs, junk.. Everything could be there. It was also a hotspot for raiders and I hoped to find a job taking out another gang. It was morning and I was hungry, I took the time to order a meal. I found myself in shock when I saw a notice that one the residents had been kidnapped by a small gang nearby. "I could help you with that, if you pay me." "A mercenary huh? Go see Deb inside, she'll brief you." "One of our residents was kidnapped last night. They're junkies who have a little hideout northeast of here, just before the bridge. The reward is 150 caps, shouldn't be too hard for a tough girl like you." My eyes were glued to something behind her. "I want an advance on my payment. I want this weapon." "You have a very straightforward approach. I like that. Deal." This is my new toy, the baseball bat with barbed wire. I didn't have much ammunition left and it was way too expensive to buy. I was right next to the stash, I was going to be able to test my new purchase. The guard at the entrance did not see me coming and I had overpowered her easily enough. She had the key to the safe house on her, it was that red door. Not a very discreet place to lay low. It was a dark place. A candle placed on the stairway ledge allowed me to see where to go. The kidnappers had to be upstairs with the person I was rescuing. I had neutralized one of the kidnappers on the second floor. When I reached the third floor, I saw the kidnapped resident naked and tied up in the corner of the room. She looked traumatized, her eyes lost in the lit barrel in the middle of the room. As for the sleeping raider, I was her morning wake-up call. I blew her head off with one blow. She deserved it. I had no pity for those raiders who preyed on poor people, my self from a few months ago. "It's okay, I'm here to rescue you. Let me untie you first." "Oh thank you! I had lost hope, I was going to be taken to a pre-war building called BADTFL." "Thanks for the info. You can go back to Bunker Hill, the road is safe. Here, take my clothes, I have an idea how to impersonate them." The guard at the entrance was the least damaged and was about my height. If I pretended to be one of them, I could get in without a problem and neutralize them one by one in a stealthy way. Raiders were not know for their intelligence or quick thinking. This plan would work. I put on the harness and headed for the building. It was along the docks, I just had to follow the river to find the place. With my tattoos and short hair, I had the look of a raider. I was going to a perfect addition to their gang. Before I tore it up from the inside. I reached the BADTFL building. A few guards were patrolling around, only one was guarding the front door. I walked right past him: "I have a drug delivery, the others are coming with the girl." "Cool, you can drop this off in the evidence room." Like I said, they weren't very smart. The evidence room was guarded by a raider who was taking inventory of what was there. Guess who had just hit a home run with her head? Calista the batter. The advantage of a baseball bat is discretion. The problem was dealing with heavier people, they needed several hits before they collapsed. This male raider took 3 hits before I could knock him into the air. I love dogs. But not the ones that obeyed their master. I was really sorry for this poor animal but I didn't want to take any risk. The leader of the gang was forcing the door of the cells with a blowtorch. She didn't hear me sprinting to knock her down. She was strong. It took several hits before she was knocked down. She even nearly blew my head off. As I searched her for information, I saw the handcuffs laying on the desk. A security measure while I searched for the stuff that was stashed here. I undressed her and started looking for infos on the terminal. She was still unconscious but it wouldn't last. When I finished my research, I knew where to get their equipment. I moved the raider leader and locked the handcuffs behind the bars. It was impossible for her to come after me, I allowed myself to taunt her when she emerged. "Sorry my dear, but you'll have to stay here for a while. Thanks for the inventory, I'll help myself now. Have a nice day. Nice body by the way!" "Bitch! You'll pay for this I swear! You won't be so smart when the roles will be reversed!" The last guard showed no opposition to me bashing his skull in. The bat lost his beauty. I decided to leave it, I didn't need it anymore. I needed to make room to get all the equipment from the closed cell. The day was over. I had become the proud owner of drugs, ammunation and caps stored in a backpack. The best part was this weapon called the Fatman. It weighed quite a bit for a little girl like me. With this, it was impossible for anyone to mess with me. Or I could sell it for even more caps... A tough choice, right?

The orange wagon led to another train that was leaving the station. It was very short, with a total of four cars. I found a mattress to put Katy on, she was struggling to stay alive. Poor child... "How the hell can I help you? Please Katy, don't die now!" She stopped breathing. I couldn't let her go, I had to do something. I tried to revive her by doing CPR (CardioPulmonary Resuscitation) to get her heart pumping again. "One, two, three! One, two, three! Please Katy, come back to life!" I was able to restart her heart but she was still very weak. I had almost forgotten what I picked up earlier in the day. I grabbed the other Stimpak from my breastplate and stuck it in her chest. I hoped it would be enough to get her back on her feet. I waited for the Stimpak to kick in. When I saw Katy put her hand on her chest and move her head, I was comforted and glad, it worked and she seemed to feel better! She was going to need some rest. This would give me time to find out who was in control of our train. I was exhausted, filthy as hell, and my feet were aching, but I had one last thing to do tonight: figure out who was in the driver's seat and where the train was going. I climbed the crates between the car and the locomotive. I knew one thing for sure, I would sleep soundly after all that drama in a single day. I moved carefully until the doors of the locomotive opened and the pilot held me at gunpoint. "Freeze! Put your hands behind your head woman." "Okay, I surrender! Please, I don't want any trouble!" "What's that light around your neck? Are you a fucking slave???" "Look, it's not what you think, I've been through a bad day." "Like I give a shit. Get on your knees, slowly." "I'll come down and join you. If you try anything, I'll shoot you. Do you hear me, bitch?" I was bound to act quickly, the second he lost his focus, I had to get rid of him. My gun was still safely tucked into my breastplate. It was him or me and my choice was already made. The second he looked down at the crate I drew my revolver and dove forward. I aimed at his head and blew it off with a clean shot. That was my last stunt for the night, I was done, I just wanted to go home. I went into the train control room. I started looking at the dashboard until my eyes caught a map hanging on the wall that was not unknown to me. It was the map of the Boston area, my home... The terminal that controlled the steering system was running on voice recognition. "New destination, Boston, Massachusetts. Avoid the main roads, take the safe lanes." "Processing. ETA: 3 days." Now I could sleep peacefully. I slept like a baby in the driver's seat. I was so dead tired, my body needed a good break. I had managed to find a roughly cozy position where I put my dirty feet on the dashboard. They also required some care and attention. I was awakened by the sun's rays coupled with the railroad tracks' rattle. Outside, Katy was looking at the landscape, sitting cross-legged on some crates. She found a sniper rifle, the smart one! I joined her to formally introduce myself: "Hi sweetie! My name is Calista. You seem to be feeling better, I'm so relieved! It's safe now, we're going to my place in Boston, is that alright for you?" Katy didn't answer me. Instead, she stared at what I still had around my neck. I had completely forgotten about the collar, slave life habit... But this little girl was able to take it off! I sat down in front of Katy. She pulled a black rectangular object from her pocket and connected it to the collar. I moved my head slightly away to let her work some magic. After a few seconds, I heard several beeps and the pressure on my neck stopped. Katy took the collar and threw it into the wastelands we were traveling across. "Thanks Katy, my guardian angel!" She threw herself at me and kissed my forehead. I hugged her back. We had helped each other. I saved her life earlier, Katy saved me from being a slave. Maybe it wasn't a coincidence that we met, maybe our destinies were meant to be the same. The three days of traveling flew by. I learned that Katy was mute, about half my age, a terrific markswoman with her rifle, and that she loved to venture out. I identified with her a lot, without the slavery aspect. The train had stopped under a station in Goodneighbor. We had gathered all the supplies from the train stored in a backpack. I got off first, and offered my help to Katy. "Take my hand, sweetie!" She pointed her finger at my bare feet. "Yes I know, I have no shoes and I couldn't find any on the train! Just hand me yours, I'm sure I can fit in them!" Even though Katy couldn't talk, she was very smart and very sassy. She apologized in her own way, making a heart with her fingers. "How funny darling... Mocking a barefoot woman... You're lucky I like you! Besides, we've arrived! Are you ready to discover my place?" I was so excited to get home, I took Katy's hand and started running up the station's stairs. "Come on cheeky girl! Let's see if you can keep up with a woman wearing no shoes!" She wasn't the only one who was clever at being sassy, I could be a little bitch too. And I had a lot more experience than Katy in this department. I took the longest bath of my entire life. The dirt I had accumulated over the past week required a good hour to wash off. Katy was reading vintage comics at the counter. Until something unexpected happened: "Well, look who's early on our schedule!" Wiecek had just arrived, I rushed into his arms. I was happy to see him again, and why I had fought so hard to get back to Boston. Because in the end, when our arms were around each other, all the worries went away. We had a lot to catch up on. I first made the introductions between him and the little girl I had rescued a few days ago: "Wiecek, this is Katy. Katy, this is my boyfriend Wiecek. To make it short, I met Katy when I came back to Goodneighbor. She was sick so I brought her back to my place to take care of her." I was still reluctant to tell Wiecek the whole story, I had to tell him about my findings during that night before I was abducted. "Katy honey, can you go play in the bedroom? I need to talk to Wiecek." She pointed dubiously at the room behind me. "Yes, please. I'll tell you about that life another time, okay?" "Calista, you don't have to take the kid away, I wasn't planning on sticking around anyway." "Oh, don't you dare say that to me! I need to tell you everything I've been through this week first." We sat down in the kitchen. I made myself some tea and explained my recent events to Wiecek: "The robbery went well, I had evidence to prove the cartel was involved in the slave trade. That was before I got into a fight with Isabel. She beat me up and turned me over to her slave-trading friend where I ended up tied up on a train. I was forced to struggle for a whole day to get out of that hell. Katy was there, we saved each other. It took us three days on a different train to get back to the Commonwealth. That's it, you know the full story, more or less. What about you, why did you come sooner? Are you going on a trip?" "Wow, that's a heck of a ride! But it now explains what happened this week. You created a monster. This chick, the Queen as she called herself, got into an argument with Liemanto over what happened to her. And guess what, she killed him. Mykola too. Luckily I wasn't with them at the time. I didn't hesitate, I sold the house to the mayor and got the hell out of Diamond City." "He wanted to play in the big league, he got what he deserved."
