Somewhere in the mountains...
I struggled to awake, although with everything I'd been through previously, it was a miracle I survived. I could feel the warmth of clothes on my skin and the smell of stew nearby.
I straightened up with some questions on my mind: Where was I? Who had rescued me and given me these clothes? Had Bashnag died? At least I was no longer a prisoner or freezing to death naked. But I wondered what would happen next, I could hear some noise below...
I got up and went downstairs. A Nord woman was stirring her pot of stew. She introduced herself when she heard my barefoot steps on the wooden staircase.
"Name's Angi and if you try anything stupid I won't hesitate to put an arrow in your head."
"I won't, thanks for saving my life! I'm Lucille by the way. Can you tell me where we are?"
"My cabin, up in the mountains. Go and sit down, you must be starving, we'll talk better when our bellies will be full."
I explained my situation. Angi paid close attention, as did her dog, awaiting our leftovers:
"I took on a quest to defeat a necromancer. He turned out to be much more powerful than I was. He kept me prisoner and tortured me before I could escape... Until I passed out in the open."
"That explains the leather straps, the collar and your nudity. I'm sorry for your predicament Lucille. But you're lucky I found you by the roadside. I carried you here and warmed you up. You almost slept a full day, you know!"
When I told Angi I was going to leave, she stood up with a rather intimidating attitude.
"What are you doing? Is this how you repay me for saving your ass?"
"Look, I... I shouldn't stay..."
"With that thing around your neck, you don't make any decisions. I do. So you stay here, you help me and you keep me company. Maybe I could take that collar off if you played along... What do you say?"
"I guess I can't argue about it... Fine, I accept."
I had no other choice but to stick around Angi and assist her with the daily chores. I made some potions for her future expeditions, while she swept the cabin staring at me. I knew that look, the desire one. I tried to avoid it, so she didn't get any wrong ideas.
Of course, this failed. After dinner and bedtime, we changed into our underwear. Angi seized her moment to pin me against the wardrobe next to the main bedroom. With her height and strength, I couldn't fight back.

The next day, Angi kept her word, and gave me an outfit but no boots, she still had doubts about my loyalty. Nevertheless, the Nord woman trained me in archery. I'd never used a bow in my life before because I had my magic, but since it could be blocked... Better to have one more trick up your sleeve!
"That was my mother who taught me on how to use a bow. She always said composure was the key to a successful archer. If you can remain calm, even in the midst of chaos, your arrow will mostly find its target. Now, aim and shoot when you're ready."
I spent the whole day practicing with Angi's guidance. She was a good person at heart and I felt obliged to express my feelings.

AUTHOR'S NOTE
I slowed down to make this chapter, between the recent games that have been released... It was hard to juggle with! I'll probably return to one chapter a month. I still enjoy making Skyrim screenshots and developing Lucille's story bit by bit but I don't want to limit myself to that.
It's still a long year ahead and I've got plenty of places worth exploring!
