Failure Mode Effects Analysis in Skyrim (FMEA) View File DESCRIPTION Has it ever bothered you that rather than going off adventuring and risking your life you can get rich in Tamriel using an alchemy lab in an inn and a few septims worth of Garlic and Salt? Do you wonder why people lock valuable items in chests or in rooms but hardly ever use magic or poison to deter thieves? Are you amazed that at level one you know the name of every useful alchemy ingredient and how to harvest it safely? FMEA is designed to provide additional risks and failure effects to non-combat skills and resource harvesting. Since many of the consequences are based around sex and slavery FMEA has been written with the female adventurer in mind, however FMEA works perfectly well for male adventurers there are just fewer outcomes available. The current release includes plugins for Lockpicking, Alchemy, Enchanting, Mining and Harvesting potion ingredients. Each plugin is highly configurable with its own MCM page and any or all of the plugins can be enabled or disabled as required. Enchanting Whilst disenchanting an item there is a risk that you may lose control of the Magicka flow as you destroy the item The risk of losing control when disenchanting is dependent on the magnitude of the enchantments and the skill of the enchanter Whilst enchanting an item there is a risk that you may lose control of the Magicka flow from the Soulgem as you complete the enchantment Whilst recharging an item there is a risk you may lose control of the Magicka flow and fail to charge the item, or worse! The risk of losing control when enchanting or charging is dependent on the level of Soulgem used and the skill of the enchanter Uncontrolled Soulgem flows can result in dimensional anomalies or allow the imprisoned soul to use its psychic energy to lash out seeking revenge An uncontrolled release of Soulgem Magicka may attract an interdimensional parasite Uncontrolled Soulgem flows will render the enchanting workbench dangerously unstable and unusable until they dissipate Endangering the lives of innocent bystanders as a result of recklessly allowing uncontrolled Magicka flows is a serious crime Lockpicking Any locked door or container might now be trapped Traps can be set to either rearm or be cleared when triggered Traps may have tamper detection built in – just inserting a lock pick might trigger the trap, also, the longer you take picking the lock the more likely it is that the trap will trigger There is a chance you may spot a trap before you trigger it, or you may THINK you spot one Traps are persistent in the world – as is their individual level of difficulty. Maybe you should come back to that dangerous looking chest with the master level lock when you’ve got a bit more skill? Setting off a trap can result in a range of consequences including audible alarms, darts & gas traps There is also an option to add an Alteration skill based Open Locks spell to the world The level of magicka control required means the Open Locks spell has a very short range, take care not to trigger any traps! The risk of a trap being triggered (if one is present) by the Open Locks spell increases with each failed attempt The tome required to learn Open Locks can be bought from specialist merchants selling rare Alteration spells, it might also be found as loot Alchemy Any attempt to make a potion may fail based on the Alchemists skill and their experience at making that particular formula Alchemical research is particularly risky even when successful , if unsuccessful it’s downright dangerous When an Alchemist fails to make a potion the resulting mixture may be unstable, if they are lucky it will result in some fumes and a bad smell, or they could be unlucky… Reckless use of alchemy workbenches in inns and shops poses a risk to innocent bystanders, endangering the public is a crime Alchemical failures tend to be noisy and smelly and are likely to attract the attention of anyone (or anything) nearby Ingredients Plant and fungal ingredient sources will be renamed to “Plant” or “Fungus” until the one of the ingredients magic effects is learned. Optionally harvesting of plants and fungi can be blocked until an effect is learned Insects and other activator type ingredients can be blocked from harvesting until an effect of the ingredient is learned When an ingredient is harvested there is a risk of adverse effect, due to allergy, poisoning or something taking offence at having its friends torn to pieces… The risk of an event is based on the number of unknown effects on an ingredient. Once all the effects are known the ingredient is safe to harvest Mining Any attempt to mine may fail based on the difficulty of the ore vein and the skill of the miner Miners may lose track of an ore vein as they dig Pickaxes may break if used incorrectly Inexperienced miners may find the "Ore" they have mined is in fact just useless rubble Sparks from the pick may ignite a pocket of flammable gas, injuring innocent bystanders is a crime Miners may encounter things that were best left buried Ore veins may contain pockets of noxious gas Poor mining technique may result in injury REQUIREMENTS Skyrim Legendary Edition (or Dawnguard, Hearthfire & Dragonborn) Sexlab 1.62+ SkyUI 5.1+ RECOMMENDED Estrus Chaurus+ 4.22+ Sanguine Debauchery Enhanced 3.53+ Simple Slavery 4.6+ Devious Followers 1.72+ Prison Overhaul Patched V3.59+ Learn Alchemy From Recipes - so you don’t have to eat ingredients to learn them! SexLab Parasites - Kyne's Blessing for the FMEA dimensional parasite effect INSTALLATION Install using NMM or ModOrganiser – make a save first so you can go back if you don’t like the mod or it makes the world explode! You should see an MCM initialisation message when you load the game. Once the MCM is initialised you need to install the plugins from the FMEA menu. UPDATING Updates can be installed over an existing save. A clean save is not required. FUTURE DEVELOPMENT If there’s sufficient interest I plan on developing a FMEA Plugin for Smithing, along with more effects & outcomes for the current plugins. Suggestions welcome ! TROUBLESHOOTING If a plugin is not working as intended try disabling it in the MCM, waiting a few minutes and then reactivating it. It replaces almost all vanilla Skyrim potions with custom meshes and textures. The meshes comes from the most excellent mods "Alluring Potion Bottles v3 by jbvw" for Oblivion and "AOF's Potion Replacer" for Morrowind. Many of the potions are animated. Only vanilla Skyrim is covered. Potions from extensions (DG/DB/HF) and other mods are left alone. The mod is provided in two versions. Use one or the other. 1) Vanilla skyrim potions, with changes forwarded from the Unofficial Skyrim Patch (Version 19-2-0-8a) 2) Requiem 1.7-3 / Requiem Hard Times / Requiem Extended Patches Beta 0.2.     Enchanted Ancient Armor Crafting Tools is a crafting set i made for my self to cheat the crap out the crafting and alchemy system without using console commands . I used the ancient draugr set to fool myself into roleplaying and justifying this very overpowered crafting set. It is actually useful if you're using it for anything other than you're normal gaming or if you don't mind a little cheating and making you're self more powerful armors and weapons. I don't want to use an auto harvesting mod primarily because it is a cheat, but also because I want to harvest non-flying things the old fashion way as I am using DCUR (which as everyone knows using DCUR is cruise control for cool!) ? But I digress... So ya, harvesting flying things is starting to give me motion sickness like symptoms. What would be super cool would be like an equipable butterfly net! But anything really...   9. Hi there 👋 As the title suggests I am looking for a way to make it so regen potions actually work in a Skyrim build where the base regen is set to zero. A little background (not needed reading but shows what I am trying to achieve) In my current build, I don't want Magicka to regen at all naturally, it requires something else to make it happen. Also, my natural healing rate has been set very low so healing takes days instead of hours unless assisted through various means. This is all easy enough to achieve but it also makes it so regen potions don't really do anything, and since Magicka regen potions are EXACTLY the sort of thing I want to be effective this is sort of a problem. 😝 For a while, I have been using Realistic Regeneration which kind of sort of did what I want... but ultimately had some issues that made me feel like a new direction was in order. It allowed for regen rates to be set for potions, but the rate was static and therefore the magnitude of the regen potion was totally irrelevant and only the duration mattered. This offends my immersion inner voice. 😄 So ideally I'd like to figure out how to change the regen rate calculation for potions (and other effects if possible food, items, standing stones, etc) to be a multiplier of a base 3 instead of the player's current magickarate* stat. Or some other strategy that achieves the same basic outcome... I am open to suggestions. As always I do thank you in advance for your attention in this matter. 😁 *I didn't realize this until my spell checker mentioned it but the stat MagickaRate is Magic Karate without the space!     Intro If anyone wants to take this over, go for it. NismoMan posted an idea in my older Cum Potions thread, and I've kinda nabbed it with this. The base idea is his. This mod adds a bunch of alchemy ingredients, all of which are cum of various kinds. They all have varying properties and can be combined exactly like other ingredients. On top of that, there are also a few semen-based beverages/potions and poisons. I won't say what properties these all have; you can figure that out once you find them. Cum ingredients will be found on their respective "creatures" once killed (but see Known Issues below), as well as at apothecaries. Potions and poisons will be found as loot, and/or purchased. The mod has no scripts at all, which is a plus. However, those with scripting ability (which I totally lack) could add to this mod to have cum produced as a result of sex - which was NismoMan's idea. Note that, with one exception, all of the types of cum coincide with creatures supported by SexLab. (No sorry, I will not add spiders and insects.)   13. Hi everyone, I feel like alchemy in Skyrim is wasted. I think this is because the fortify-type potions are useless. Why would I bother drinking a fortify light armor potion? I'll just sell it. I believe most people either ignore alchemy altogether, or just gather bland ingredients and craft bland potions that they sell to Arcadia, without ever drinking something they crafted. Except maybe a cure disease potion, not to become an ugly vampire. Or a fortify restoration or enchant potion to more or less break the game. The cure disease potion is the only good thing that came out of alchemy imo. But I think I know a way to make alchemy great (not great again tho, afaik it has never been great). I think fortify potions should give a small, permanent, stacking buff. I love permanent buffs. If I make an archer, I sure woud be exited about finding spider eggs (fortify marksman), crafting and drinking the potion(s), and getting that sweet permanent marksman buff. That sweet permanent buff, I'd call that a mutagen. This way I get the Witcher's fans interested. I don't think there is such a mod out there. If you know one, please point it to me. If there isn't, I will do it. It would be my first mod. Here are the things this mod could do: - grant a dynamic fortify buff for each type of fortify potion (there are like 30), amplitude based on the number of fortify potions you drank - drinking fortify potions increase the amplitude, with logarithmic diminshing returns - don't modify the potions themselves, use the event of gaining the fortify-type magic effect instead, so that hopefully the mod would have no compatibility issue - MCM menu for monitoring the buffs and tweaking the amplitudes and everything - breakpoints rewards - infinite possibilities. Here's a random idea: after 50 destruction potions, your destruction spells have 10% spell vamp. - character face becomes witcher-like mutated Is this already done? Would you use it?   15. Hey everyone, so for the past week or so Ive been thinking about a mod idea regarding capturing creatures using soul gems, scrolls, alchemy, and conjuration. So here goes. Firstly I love the idea of running around Skyrim misbehaving and being a bad dovahkin, but beyond modding things to fit my playstyle (Necromancer who captures slaves with my villainous followers) I feel like there could be something more enticing that hopefully some others would love to enjoy as well. I've played Skyrim an unhealthy amount of hours but through every play through I've rarely used Alchemy, and I was thinking, what if a mod existed, where let's say you have a slavery mod and you have a slave, you can use said slave as an "Experiment" and use different ingredients on the slave to see what may unfold. Examples such as high arousal for a certain period be it a few ingame hours, breast expansion, heightened lustful state where they used forced animations on near targets unless bound etc. Or on the other hand use eggs from insect-like creatures which can be found as drops to incubate in these experiments to yield creature followers. In the pursuit of these experiments the PC would get alchemy exp and perhaps be able to perform more crazy experiments as their alchemy level increases. Now in regards to scrolls and conjuration but also linked to the experiment idea, imagine this, you find yourself running around a dungeon and boom! Draugr deathlord out of nowhere. So being the deviant you are after getting it low in health you go to your magic menu and equip your handy dandy spell "Sap Essence" or something along those lines (Not a real spell this is all hypothetical) and now you use this purple version of the vanilla absorb spell to put the essence of the deathlord in a soulgem like thing. We'll call it a soul crystal so it doesnt get mixed up in our inventories with the real soul gems. So now that you've finished your quest you head back to your lair strewn with slaves and go to your arcane table and as you click it a menu asks "Imbue scroll" or enchantment. The imbue scroll option would give you the option to put your recently captured draugr into a summoning scroll which can summon said draugr (or a clone) or whatever was captured until whatever your MCM menu parameters has set for captured summons or you can go to the enchantment menu and disenchantment a burning dagger or something. Now let's say you got your roll of paper and combined it with the gem crystal thing and made your summon scroll, you now have your new pet draugr do your bidding, be it have it's way with your slaves or fight etc. Whatever your choice is it's all in the name of being a bad dovahkin... but also discovering the mysteries of Magic and Alchemy. Now this idea is pretty rough and not completely thought out, but I thought it was pretty neat and wanted to share it with you all and see what you guys and girls think. I'm not a modder by any means but perhaps someone likes this idea and wants to dabble with it and try it out. Perhaps you all might have a better idea? Just wanted to put it out and see what my favorite modding community thinks about this and what not ?
