Mira Furlan passed away the other day but Steven Furst, who played Vir, died a couple of years ago as well. Which is I believe the purpose of the clips.
nonusnomeni Posted January 23, 2021 Posted January 23, 2021 yes i know i was put Delenn speech for Mira and i was hmmm??? seeing Lando so...
FauxFurry Posted January 23, 2021 Posted January 23, 2021 Yes, here is a toast to all of those nibbled to death by cats. May none of us ever contribute to those statistics on any side of the equation. 1
KoolHndLuke Posted February 11, 2021 Author Posted February 11, 2021 And "the people" never won. An interesting man from old interviews I've read, though, can't say I shared some of his tastes.
27X Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Was just about to post this; they also didn't break up, they retired fullstop. Neither has any plans to do music as a single act. 1
27X Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 I think it's more of a "time of your life" kind of thing, given interviews and the like. I think they'll be back, just likely not as daft punk and probably only for special things they both feel comfortable doing. They both found a way to conquer their social anxiety and they literally got to make the biggest album(s) of their careers with a giant chunk of the people that got them into music in the first place. The likely scenario is someone that thinks of them the way they thought about Nile Rodgers will come along and get them to help compose or do a cameo song here or there, but I wouldn't expect anything anytime soon. Bill Withers is a good example. He knew his limits, he had three songs that are literally timeless, and those songs literally paid for the rest of his pretty good and fulfilling life. He would occasionally write a new song or do a small performance here or there, and that was good enough. DP own their own music rights, publishing and all, so they've literally paid for their futures already.
27X Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 Considering he was the main force behind turning The Elder Scrolls from a unique twist on the cultivated world myth into a generic soulless dagger smithing simulator and personally fired the people that created the series to begin with, can't say I feel bad. Don't want to say this is good news, but it don't feel like bad news either. I'm sure the man had some redeeming qualities, making good games wasn't one of them.
27X Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 sure. insider trading theft taking kickbacks financing shining path and al queda bribery fraud on the other hand he got to marry Lynda Carter and used his defrauded money to buy bethesda, so hey American Dream come true. 3

In the American sense of "The Dream", it most certainly did. The end justifying the means is our religion. Obviously I don't agree, but I see the shrewd. self-serving logic in it.
landess Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 While it could be said the relationship between the sexes has always been somewhat strained, it would appear after a solid 100 years of progress the whole thing has flipped on it's head. Because some 'goodbyes' happened long before this website - or even the internet - existed, I'll take this opportunity to say goodbye to Randy Rhodes and let him help me say 'Goodbye to Romance'. Especially at the high school level??? Remove your emotional attachment to your "cause" and face the factual reality that boys and girls are physically different, and regardless of the emotional state of a very few, the vast majority will suffer. The girl who lost to the boys does not get a scholarship... go to university... perhaps Olympics? All because a boy was permitted to compete against girls. Again, this is not bigotry or hate or any other label that those who can not defend this might say... It is the laws of physical nature.
AKM Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 RIP my old hard drive. Maybe this time I will learn the lesson to have backups of backups backed up. Maybe, but unlikely. 2

That mouse one really got used to, and can't find the same model anymore. That monitor which had just the right amount of inputs. Still a Hard drive is the life blood of 'who we are' in relation to the wires and circuits used to access it's mysteries. It's pleasures. It's memories.... When one dies I think we all feel a different kind of loss. The grieving comes in stages - denial, anger, resentment, depression. Yes, A hard drive is more than just another piece of electronic hardware. 1
