  4. You Don't Look Like an Assassin

    So there I was, talking to Arentino Aventus as a level one orphan who had just aged out of the Riften orphanage. "Kill Grelod!" he said. And I agreed because, as with anyone who has had to suffer under her "kind" care, I had always wanted to do just that.
    So I did. And soon after, I was abducted by a lady from the Dark Brotherhood who invited me to join their little family of assassins. As I talked to the other members and was given some assignments, I realized that something just...wasn't...right. It didn't take long to figure out what that thing was.
     
    I'm an orphan, barely an adult, who has killed exactly one person. I can't sneak worth a damn. I've never faced real combat. There is no way an organization like this would hire someone like me to do this kind of work.
     
    Mod Description
    This mod seeks to make sure the player can actually do assassin-like things before being sent on assassin jobs. For now, that means that Nazir won't give you any assignments until your sneak has reached 35 (which seems too high, now that I type it. Might change that.)
     
    Soon there will be kill requirements and...I don't know, whatever else we can think of that would be fitting for the context. Let me know your ideas!

    Do you get bored looting sacks, urns, and barrels ? What about cabinets and dresser drawers, or maybe even those static corpses ? Always seeing the same kind of loot ? If your like me, I think the only time you looted a sack is when you wanted to look for cooking materials. And urns.. were just BORING as hell.. Maybe find a few gold and that was it. Especially if you were a thief, its almost pointless to go looting houses in the night. Well now here's Mister B's Unique Loot!! This mod will improve the kind of loot you find in all those kind of containers. Find more unique items, from normal house-hold goods, to ore. Now you can go back to searching all those things to find something worth-while.
     
    What does this mod do ?
    This mod effects containers with improved Loot and treasure that is both immersive, and not overdone. Containers consist of: Sacks, Urns, Barrels, Dressers, Static Corpses (both drueger and otherwise), Coffins, and Dressers & Drawers. More Salt can be found, and now there are light dragon bones and dragon scales! And now Lighter Scrolls (3/pound) New Dwemer and Ancient Nord Coins, which can be found in appropriate containers, as well as appropriate corpses. You can also make Dwaven Ingots and Steel Ingots from the appropriate coins. Improved Spider Corpses Loot, and improved Hagraven Alchemy loot. Sacks and Barrels include crafting materias such as ingots, ore, Jewelry, House Masterials, Food, Clothes. Urns now add Bone Meal, Mountain Flowers, More Coinage, jewelry, etc.. Dressers and Drawers, produce more clothes, books, gold, and jewelry. And now you can find scrolls in them too! Pelts/Hides added to Drawr and barrel loot. Insects added to urns and sacks. Feathers, teeth, and tusks added for Forsworn and bandit loot. Hunters have more stuff they can sell. You can now buy Eggs in Inns. New food tables for cupboards, barells, sacks, bandits and forsworn. Hearthfire building materials added to appropriate containers. Compatibility with USLEEP and Clothing and Clutter Fixes Mods.

     
     
     

    Please start a new game with this mod, for best effects. Or give the game up to a week's time to populate properly. It wouldn't hurt to do a bash patch to help reduce the possibility of a CTD.
     
    Don't forget there is a cheat chest you can get via' Console Command. Just search for "cheat chest"

    Fender is a very sexy, talented, Imperial frost mage from the College of Winterhold who came to Riften to find his lost brother.
     

    Many students and professors at the College of Winterhold marveled at the skills shown by Fender during his training there. Many girls and young male mages couldn’t help but offer their virginities up front to him after only a few minutes of having met him, and Fender grew quite tiered of them all and lost interest being such a smooth womanizer/manizer, except for one very bossy arrogant Fire Mage (we do not know the gender) who had the nerve not only to not make advances towards Fender, but DENY his advances when he approached this individual.
     
    Fender was going to have his revenge and tie up this special mage late at night and have this person as his special “sex pet”. But it was too late for that night Fender decided to run his plan he found the Fire Mage had left to Riften and was going to seek revenge on The Dark Brotherhood and “kill Astrid for murdering his family when they were only a child”.
     
    Fender needed to find an excuse to go to Riften also to fulfill his ultimate revenge sexual fantasy. He had a note from Marcurcio, his long lost half-brother, saying that “he found out they were related and he wanted him to come by and visit at The Bee and Bard, that he had a spare room, and he missed him”. So Fender was like “alright I’ll use this as an excuse, like who the fuck is Marcurio and why is he contacting me now, ok fine I’ll go”.
     
    So while Fender actually went to Riften to find ‘his lost half-brother’ Marcurio (disclaimer: they’re actually half-brothers) he was actually using this as an excuse to find his sexy ‘sexy toy’ that got away from him.

    Lots of changes in Version 2 (beta)!
     
    I reworked the entire mod. HDT High Heels is no longer required.
     
    I stopped work on this before it was complete, so there are some missing armors from this update compared to the last. However if you want to use the old version with the new that is absolutely fine as they will not conflict with eachother at all. If you use the previous version (1.0) you WILL need HDT High Heels, though.
     
    I'm not sure if/when I will continue this mod, sorry guys. But, I have been holding on to this as it is for months now, and thought it's doing no good just sitting on my harddrive! So here it is for all of you.
     
    Most of these have male counterparts as well, with the exception of the Eagle and Havroun sets.

    I'm a bit bored of Skyrim and this my apportation to make it more atractive...
     
    We can make all that we want in skyrim.. we can make any of the availables quest when we want or make none and make it how we want.. and of course, if we load a savegame ALL the game have exactly the same state that when save...
    BUT ALL OF THIS IS OVER...
     
    TIME MISSION CONTROLLER (TMC)
     
    This mod control the following things:
    Time passed in Skyrim
    Number of Fast Travel
    Number of RELOAD'S
     
    Yes... Number of RELOAD'S...
     
    I change the Radiant Bounty Quests availables from the Tavern Keeper and Jarl Steward, but only for test and demo.
    When you install my mod the missions are controled by TMC and you can have 2, 3 or 4 of them as the same time.
    Simply exit the Inn or the Jarl House, enter again and ask again for job. Must exit and enter because the misions are availables only when fire the event change location.
    Probably, you can get 2 quest(BQ01 and (BQ02 or BQ03)) from the same Tavern Keeper and/or Jarl Steward but the third quest must be requested in other location because not all cities have Bandit camp + Forsworn camp + Giant Camp.
    And for get BQ04 you must advance in the Story until kill the first dragon after deliver the Dragon Stone in Whiterun.
     
    The quest's must be made in 2 days with 2 fast travel and 2 Reloads...
    If you excess the Time, the Fast Travel or the Reload.. the quest's fail...
    Every 12 hours i give you updated info about yours Controlled Quest and say you Time, Reload and Fast Travel remaining on each.
     
    If you DIE.......... you are FORCED TO RELOAD YOUR GAME... AND I COUNT IT...
    If you have a enslavement mod you can be enslaved and, maybe, you cant make the mission because you can't scape.
    If scape with small time.. make fast travel is not the way... because i count it...
     
    JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA....
     
    Of curse, this is a Resource for Moders.. all the work is made with events in the most easy way that i found...
    If you are a moder and whant see how work one of your quest with my mod you only must make 4 things. Is too easy and simple.
    1 - Register your mod for catch the event TMC_MissionFail
    2 - When your quest start send a event TMC_RegisterMision
    3 - When your quest end send a event TMC_UnRegisterMision
    4 - UnRegister your mod from the event TMC_MissionFail
     
    Of course, you must be too carreful when you cacth the event TMC_MissionFail because near none quest in Skyrim are designed to fail, and you MUST change the design of your quest to FAIL and restart. Before this mod the posibilitys of fail a quest are minimal.
     
    This mod is specialy designed for small missions like: Go to xx location, get xx item, deliver the item to xx.
    The idea of make this mod come from the simple missions of Captured Dreams about the simple quest Delivery and Recover. The Master of the house say that the mission are urgent and they count time. But none of that are true.
    Now, when you fail a quest, you must asume the consequences... you can be punissed, enslaved, lost items, lost future quest... any can append...
     
    Of course, you can use my mod for control EACH step of your big quest. You only must Register and Unregister for each step.
    I can manage all the quest that you want at the same time with diferents conditions and, of course, i compute each condition of each controlled quest.
    But think.. they are cumulative.. if you Register 2 quest in the same time whit the same conditions they have the same caducity and reload count... then all quest can fail in the same second.
    This is designed for have 1 long quest with a lot of time MERGED with small quest with lite time. The player must select carrefull what quest make in what order to be free of the consequences...

    Technical info for moders:
    Event's are the less intrusive way for two mods colaborate. Your mod not have HARD dependency of my mod and the user is free to install my mod or not.
    If my mod is NOT installed NOT affect your in any way, because your mod only make a register for a event that never ocurr (TMC_MisionFail) and only send two events that none catch (TMC_RegisterMision and TMC_UnRegisterMision).
    This only affect the game in some miliseconds.
     
    Skyrim core game have a lot of events but not have one event for Fast Travel, Wait or Teleport.
    Had event for sleep, and i catch it, but for control Fast Travel i monitor a mix of cell and time.
    If the actual cell is not the same and time has advance a lot i presume player make fast travel. This have some problems:
    If the player wait and inmediatelly cross a door before my control routine is fired i catch an erroneus Fast Travel, because cell is not the same and time has advanced a lot because player has wait.
    The other problem reside in the use of teleport because teleport change cell but not advance time. I cant catch it. Tecnicaly is not a fast travel, but i want catch it.
    If any know how can i fight with this errors i can be very gratefull.
     
    I go to explain HOW use my events in your mod and control your quest.
    Dont worry if you don't know papyrus.
    You can make it with Creation Kit.
     
    DETAILED EXPLICATION AND SAMPLES
    The metod and code need for Register are exactly the same if you start the quest manualy or when the quest is started automatically.

    In the call SendModEvent("TMC_UnRegisterMision", "BQ01", 0) the parameter "BQ01" is the name of the quest and MUST MATCH with the parameter 'name of the quest' used in the call for Register
    With this simple call I asume 2 reload's and 2 Fast Travel and alert the player every 12 hours. THE QUEST ARE MANAGED BY MY MOD

    If you want more control you can use the COMPLEX CALL in the Register like the following example:

    I use the common call used in the url of web pages with '&' separator and is too simple and effective.. i use it in a lot of developents and is the most easy way for pass a lot of parameter to another function.
    The strip of the parameter is this:
    BQ01&__Your quest name
    48&_____Time alowed in skyrim hours
    2&______Reload's permit
    3&______FastTravel permit
    12&_____Alert when passed time in skyrim hours
    1_______0 = sendEvent(you manage) 1=Management by my functions
     
    And when join all the parameter you get this: "BQ01&48&2&3&12&1"
    You can use this complex call on Creation Kit and use diferent parameters for each quest.
     
    All the parameter are too evident, but the last parameter is TOO IMPORTANT:
    If the last parameter is 0 my mod ONLY send the event TMC_MisionFail and make NONE more... YOU MUST catch the event and YOU must manage your quest
    If the last parameter is 1 my mod MANAGE YOUR QUEST.. I NOT SEND the event TMC_MisionFail and i call FailAllObjectives() and Stop() OVER YOUR QUEST. This is the default state for SIMPLE CALLS...
     
    I put the last parameter thinking on people that not know papyrus and only work with Creation Kit...
    People that are good moders and designers but tremble when see a script because they not are developers and cant understand what make the code.
    But you must be prepared.. i STOP your quest and you MUST give the option to the player of START your quest, usualy with a dialog (after the corresponding punishement, of couse.... JAJAJAJAJA)
     
    If you ALWAYS use SIMPLE CALL or ALWAYS put the last parameter in 1 you not need use RegisterForModEvent and UnRegisterForModEvent because i not send the event.
     
    But if you are developer and know how manage multiple script i explain you how catch and manage the event.
    In a generic script of the quest you must put this:

  14. Lore Tattoos for SlaveTats

    Here is my first set of tattoos for the excellent mod, SlaveTats by murfk, http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/619-slavetats/. These are "lore" tattoos in a very loose sense, meaning that they were created using Skyrim phrases as inspiration. There are five tattoos included and three alternates.
     
    - Blade and Shadow, Silence and Death (+1 alternate)
     
    - Glory Awaits Those Who Triumph
     
    - May Your Road Lead You to Warm Sands
     
    - Victory or Sovngarde (+1 alternate)
     
    - Walk Always in the Light (+1 alternate)
     
    As you can tell by looking at the images they deform a bit when applied because the texture is being wrapped around the model. Still fighting paint.net and gimp to compensate, right now this is as close as I can get but I think it's good enough to share.
     
    I tested the tattoos mostly on UNPB and a bit on SevenBase. Haven't tried CBBE or any others so your mileage may vary.
     
    Only "May Your Road Lead You to Warm Sands" uses the color adjuster in the SlaveTats MCM, the others are custom painted and I'm not sure what would happen if you changed the color. Maybe nothing.
     
    Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. Added ten tattoos, one from each jail in Skyrim/Solstheim. There are six for the body, two for the hands and two for the face. Which means you can get thrown into every slammer and have a memento to remember your time there. Now the good citizens of the realm will know to steer clear of you.
     
    A small update to the Jail tattoos. I added a progressive marker along the outer thigh. Essentially you change the tattoo after every turn in prison to the next higher, 1-10. The idea is that this only takes one slavetat spot but also records the number of times you've been incarcerated.
     
    And if you no longer are admiring your less than savory tattoos from the Skyrim Penal system, just download Remove Your Tats by jfraser, http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/1664-remove-your-tats/ and for a mere 1000 gold have all your sins wiped away.
     
    I should add that these tattoos must be applied by the user through the MCM. I haven't tried and not sure how to have the game apply them as you get incarcerated.
     
    The third tattoo pack, Skyrim insults. I picked up a few of the more notable insults the citizens of Skyrim use and added them to a tat pack. Looking for suggestions for this category (and others if you wish).

    Then this may be the mod for you!
     
    This mod is a modest redesign of the player housecarls of Skyrim. All the housecarls are now men. No more Jordis, Iona, Rayya and Lydia. Instead you get Yorrick (the Sword-Polisher), Ian, Rayyan and Lanius.

    Workings

Submit your own animations, discussion gestures on a standing pose would be useful, such as giving the finger, facepalm, simulated blowjob, a-a-aa (no, with finger) etc.

  18. Animator

    This is a mod that is meant for two things:
    Easy way to look through large number of "Simple Idle" type animations, this is for mod makers that plan to use custom idels in their mods but do not know what is available. Easy way to showcase animations for animation makers who may have limited scripting or CK skill.

    Forget about coins, rings, spells, tedious clicking in CK and other nonsense. Included animations are ready to play with one push of a button.
    Adding new animations is also easy: Batch treating folder full of hkx files with included tool. Sure this requires some actions in the magnitude of copying files, executing files, copypasting text from one place to another, but it is relatively imple and fast.
     

    In addition to this mod one requires FNIS for users,FNIS for modders, SKSE, StorageUtil, being able to compile a script file, and some hkx files.
     
    How to use (Adding new animations)
    Add .hkx files to \Animator\Meshes\actors\character\animations\Animator\Put your new hkx here first and look in\ Run AnimatorProject.exe Type in file prefix that makes all the copied files unique Type in Author name and category to separate animations to their own categories Copy the created text on the left to \Animator\Meshes\actors\character\animations\Animator\FNIS_Animator_List.txt Move the renamed hkx files up one level to \Animator\Meshes\actors\character\animations\Animator\ Use GenerateFNIS_for_Modders, do this outside Mod Organizer. Copy \Fores New Idles in Skyrim - FNIS\Meshes\actors\character\behaviors\FNIS_Animator_Behavior.hkx to \Animator\Meshes\actors\character\behaviors Open adcAnimatorMain.psc and navigate to SetAnimations() function Add the generated text from the right, lines such as: PushAnimation("aaa", "bbb", 1.5) where first parameter is the hkx file, second is description, and last is time it takes to play the animation in seconds Compile the script Run FINS for users

    This is so easy to use that I'm willing to add any .hkx to the default package that people post to this thread.
     
    How to use (Play animations)
    Go in game, use comma and dot to cycle through animations. Numpad-1 to cycle through categories. The actor in crosshair will play the idle, otherwise the PC

    Please send your own work if you want it added, or link me to orphan or permitted animations. You may also make animators aware of this mod so we can have more content in it. Someone with Japanese skills could also help since there are huge amounts of awesome animations but I have no idea what the files say.

    May not update new added animations on a savegame that have had this mod on previously.

  19. Modified Niftools export Script for Blender

    What is this?


     

    This is a modified version of the Niftools python script for the blender nif export, I made it for myself some time ago but decided maybe someone else could use this too.
    I edited the script so no material files will be exported when using the fallout 3 export options. These material files are not needed for skyrim.
    This has the advantage of not having to manually delete the material files in Nifskope everytime after a nif gets exported from blender.
    All you have to do now after export is changing the version number, setting the bodyslot and copying a BSLightingShaderProperty from an existing nif.
     

    How to Install


     

    You need blender 2.49b and a matching niftools version already installed. Then put the export_nif.py file into your blender folder under ".blender\scripts\export".

    put the files you downloaded into: /data/skse/plugins/CharGen
    download "presets" and put content of folder in /data/skse/plugins/chargen/presets (if you want the exact look)
    that was the install.
    Now start your skyrim.
    Load a existing character or create a new one (if you load a existing character make sure the expression is set to neutal)
    In race menu click the presets tab.
    press f9.
    choose a preset.
    now press the sculpt tab.
    press the import head button.
    choose the file with the same name as the preset (or maybe mix and match?)
    you should now see the names of the files in a list (the "takano fix" is just takano with no vampire teeth)
    click the one you want.
    you will now see a list with all assets that comes with the head.
    untick the ones that you dont want with "T" (this is the moment when you untick the hair if you dont have ks hairdos hdt)
    press "E" and you´re done.

    Hello everyone ,
     
    [im pretty new to this modding thing and as such don't be to harsh on this initial release
    As i was browsing through the Forums i stumbled upon some requests for Hooves , either for Succubus characters , Races they want to make and Etc.
    I found an very old file on my Computer , which basically had the Hooves that im presenting you now ( Which is why i don't know whom to credit for making the initial model).]
    After finally learning how to use Blender , I'm able to make smooth and goodlooking ( atleast i think so ) models. Now after my Initial release , I'm happy with the current results, and will still try to optimize the hooves. Enjoy
    Requirements:
     
    Longhoof:
    1. The UUNP HDT Special body or CBBE HDT ( CBBE Version has been posted on page 2 by Karmilla )
    2. Bodyslide
    3. New [3.0] - HDT HighHeels System
    And that's it i guess

    Type "help Hooves" into the console and then just type player.additem [the items ID] , now it should be in your inventory ( Yes my mod isn't very immersive..)

    II. LONGHOOVES: Everything should be fine by now , and clipping might only be caused in a very minor fashion by having heavy distortions!
     
    III.SHORTHOOVES : Currently there are problems when ENTERING SHADOWS and the SKINTEXTURE DOESNT LOOK ASONISHING ( But still good ) and CLIPPING INTO THE GROUND ( Fixed soon with HHS ) , and please DON'T EQUIP THEM THROUGH PSQ SINCE THE TEXTURES WILL CHANGE AND MESS UP!

    After a hard , bloodsweating mess of Bugfixes , frustration and Blending its finally here. The new , Blended hooves. On my way to become a somewhat decent modder , I found a new friend called Zquad1 who patiently helped me fight through the mess I had . It went as far as calling my blender possessed and the niffiles that came out of it were.... (you only would understand if you wouldve worked with me on that ... and trust me .... it wasn't nice... they had their own mind NOT EVEN KIDDING ). From now on , the both of us will work on future projects ( well for now the hooves ) , and I'm happy to do so.
    The Hooves will take a lot of work , and will have some clipping issues ( 25.05 ) BUT THAT WILL BE GONE SOON [i hope].
    So for now , have fun with the new created hooves

  23. Crash fixes

    Made a plugin to help try and fix some of the crashes I've been seeing in http://www.loverslab.com/topic/46913-how-to-debug-ctd/. You can turn each individual fix on / off in the SKSE/Plugins/CrashFixPlugin.ini, default settings recommended but if you have problems with something and you know what you're doing you can change. If you want to see exactly what crashes are fixed (with addresses) and a small explanation of my best understanding of the crash then check the INI file or readme on the nexus mod page.
     
    This plugin is meant to fix some common crashes AFTER you have followed STEP guides and sensible modding rules! It does not fix problems that come from modding irresponsibly or conflicts between mods.
     
    How to use the memory allocator patch?
    1. Open CrashFixPlugin.ini and find "UseOSAllocators=0"
    2. Change it to "UseOSAllocators=1"
    3. Download and install SKSE Plugin Preloader
    4. Start game, if you get an error saying that memory patch could not be applied read the message for help, otherwise you're good to go.
    (5.) Causes game to crash and you use ENB? Set ExpandSystemMemoryX64=false in enblocal.ini
    (6.) Causes game to crash more frequently (especially with UNP RaceMenu sliders)? Try AlignHeapAllocate=1 in CrashFixPlugin.ini
     
    Tips for additional stability:
    (These are things I've observed and Not 100% fact!)
     
    If you don't have some lines listed below in your INI it means they are set to default value.
     
    Data/SKSE/SKSE.ini (not needed if UseOSAllocators=1 in CrashFixPlugin.ini):
    Set DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB:Memory to 768. If you are using a lot of mods or higher uGrid than 5 then set 1024. Helps with CTD during save load, especially if you can load the save after qasmoke. Max value is 1280. If you are using ENB you may get CTD on startup with higher value than 768 and ExpandSystemMemoryX64 true in enblocal.ini! Set ScrapHeapSizeMB:Memory to 256. Game can't use more than 256 of this and setting higher serves no purpose.
    Skyrim.ini:
    uExterior Cell Buffer:General - setting this too high causes crashes more, especially when game wants to unload many cells at once. If you set 0 or just remove it from your INI then game decides this and that's the best way. bPreemptivelyUnloadCells:General - setting this 1 will mean game purges cell buffers and unload cell whenever it is possible. Default is 0 which means keep cell in memory until we need the space for other cells. I find 0 to be better, there's no reason to unload cell immediately, the buffer was implemented for a reason. fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS:Papyrus - setting higher will cause longer loading. Mine is 500, seems to work well for me. You can try 750 or even 1000+ if you have a lot of script-heavy mods. fUpdateBudgetMS:Papyrus - remove (this sets to default 1.2). If you have a lot of script heavy mods and a good PC you can set higher for example 2.0, however this can reduce your FPS when a lot of things are happening. fExtraTaskletBudgetMS:Papyrus - remove (this sets to default 1.2). See above. bEnableLogging:Papyrus - set 0. There's no reason to log papyrus unless you are developing a mod. Writing to file constantly is not good for performance. Papyrus logs have nothing to do with finding causes for crashes, although you can use this to find misbehaving mod scripts which can be helpful, I'd recommend to disable it for normal gameplay though. bEnableTrace:Papyrus - set 0. See above. Any other papyrus setting - delete. Changing the papyrus from default will just cause instability or lagged scripts. iPresentInterval:Display - VSync enabled or disabled. You shouldn't need to change this as default value is 1 and that's good.
    Safety Load (not needed if UseOSAllocators=1 in CrashFixPlugin.ini):
    Install Safety Load if you have a infinite loading screen or freeze at any point. It fixes a bug in memory allocation that causes deadlock. Yes you still need this if you have SKSE memory patch, no they don't do the same thing. SKSE memory patch hides the problem of deadlock for longer because it allocates a larger memory block. If you don't have freeze or infinite loading screen at all then you don't need this!
     

    Stable uGridsToLoad:
    Don't use this. It causes memory corruption and does nothing unless you are changing your uGridsToLoad setting in INI often (I don't know why you would).
     
    ENB:
    I'm not an expert in ENB, but these two I recommend in enblocal.ini:
    ExpandSystemMemoryX64=false
    ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true
     
    Bashed Patch:
    You should make this. It helps resolve a lot of conflicts between mods, especially related to leveled lists which can be a big problem. If there are no conflicts this doesn't really do any harm but even a small mod list usually has some.
     
    LOOT:
    LOOT can be a good tool to help resolve issues with ordering, but it is not perfect, sometimes it places mods incorrectly, use your best judgement. LOOT can also warn you about other potential problems with mods.
     
    TES5Edit cleaning:
    Do this! LOOT can tell you which mods need cleaning.
     
    Playthrough:
    Don't install or uninstall mods (with ESP files) in the middle of playthrough. Even changing the order can be very bad, especially if you use bashed patch or anything with SkyProc (requiem, perkus maximus). This of course applies to ESP files! Graphics mods and pure SKSE plugins are fine most of the time.
     
    Common issues:
     
    UseOSAllocators=1 and crashing when touching sliders in character creation or otherwise.
    Set AlignHeapAllocate=1 in CrashFixPlugin.ini, downside is increased load time and increased memory usage.
     
    UseOSAllocators=1 and crashing on game startup or loading save or shortly after.
    Set ExpandSystemMemoryX64=false in enblocal.ini
     
    Game says message box "running out of memory" and crashes.
    Set ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true in enblocal.ini
     
    Ground textures flickering weird.
    Set ExpandSystemMemoryX64=false in enblocal.ini

    Errors or warnings from Crash Fixes is now also logged to file - enabled by default. The file appears in Data/SKSE/Plugins/CrashFixPluginLog.txt Added automatic crash dump analysis, disabled by default. It creates files in Data/SKSE/Plugins/CrashLog/crash_timestamp.txt Warn user if they have bad ENB settings on startup. Added a crash fix related to Enderal. Added a crash fix related to magic effects list. Skyrim will display warning if actor has unexpectedly NULL TESCombatStyle form. It tries to display the actor form ID so you can check it out yourself. Changed a bit how the corrupt NIF crash is detected, it might help avoid some false positives.

  24. Battle Bard

    At this time, this mod is as complete as it can be as far as my skills will allow. However, I filed it under the category of WIP because there is one particular aspect that I want to add that I simply do not have the knowledge to do. That is animations. With Fore's FNIS Alternate Animations feature, I would like to add proper lute-playing animations to replace the default attack animations. Certainly, the LoversLab community has some of the best animation artists for TES games around. And that is why I have released this here and now. In addition to mod users who might be interested, I'd like to invite mod-makers who are familiar with animation-making to try out this mod and, if it shows promise, to consider helping me accomplish that goal.
     
    Description
     
    This mod brings a playstyle from Dragon Age: Inquisition's Multiplayer to Skyrim. Dragon Age: Inquisition's Virtuoso is primarily a support class with a diverse arsenal of magical abilities. But the method by which the Virtuoso readies these abilities for use is rather unique.
     
    The mod will add a Lesser Power to the player called "View Bardic Perk Tree". This Lesser Power will bring the player to an area where they can obtain the Lute Weapon (which is the player's access to the majority of the mod's features). Here, the player can also choose from a selection of 18 Perks specifically designed for this playstyle. 3 of the perks are offered for free. The others will require perk point investment, sufficient Speech skill, and prerequisite perks. 10 of the 18 perks allow your character to use unique abilities with their Lute. Using the Lesser Power again or activating the floor returns the player to their original position.
     
    With a Lute equipped and out, the player can queue Fire, Frost, and Shock "Notes". The keys used to queue these must be configured in the Mod Configuration Menu (MCM) of the SkyUI mod. Up to 3 Notes can be queued. When 3 Notes are queued, but further Notes are added to the queue, the earliest Notes queued will be replaced. Using normal attacks will fire off basic projectile spells with the type corresponding to the earliest note queued. These projectiles deal very modest damage, but allow the player to regenerate Magicka. Using Power Attacks cause the player to play "Songs". Songs are your special abilities and which Song is played depends on the combination of Notes queued. To play a song successfully you must know it by obtaining the corresponding perk. Songs also consume Magicka.
     
    The effectiveness of the player's Songs and basic attacks are governed by the attack rating of their lute, whose damage scales highly with Speech skill.
     
    The majority of the Songs give a buff to the player and their allies while delivering debuffs to foes, within a 12 foot radius (shown visually with a ring effect). This is designed for a support class playstyle that enhances the combat efficacy of followers and nearby non-hostiles, while delivering little damage from the player him/herself.
