Even then the vast majority of professionals in the field discount, avoid or outright don't use it due to its nature. Also... current testing and standards for "Scientific" test require reliable testing results that can be repeated over and over... this tests doesn't measure up. Used by schools and some that have paid the fees to administer these test and vastly avoided by any serious professional physiologist. Readers don't have to take my word for it... just look it up on the web. Look at serious sites dedicated by, curated by professionals in the field and you will soon see where that test stand. Most "testing" afterwards as you mention was done so by those with a vested interest in keeping the test going. Also easily found out on the web and various sources. That test and a couple of bucks will get you a Cappuccino at Starbucks. It has little to do with guidance into a job as many using it has found out (also many reports on the web from professional non-vested physiology writers) My problem is with the test and how it is used by people. (commonly that is, not your case) Not professionals (which if used will use it with a battery of other test as well as interviews and such to get a firm grasp on what is going on and who you are) How common people use it... is nothing more than some of the other games you find on Facebook. Using it as a starting point to figure out who you are.. well.. maybe but there are other ways to go about it. however, if it gives someone a start and they continue to dig and find out about themselves.. then OK.. however, on the other hand, they can do that themselves without the test. I remember my classes quite well on this subject and a very old Physiologist from the 60s that was semi retired. He went through many aspects of this and influenced the test just by having conversations and discussions, sometimes questioning someone on their facts (shedding doubt) and the results would change. he shown how this wasn't a "scientific test" My test showed the "mastermind" which in some cases does apply (with many others) however, he proved to me it was also combined to my I.Q and many that have an high I.Q also have many characteristics like that. Oh, by the way, I.Qs are also not reliable in the public setting without someone working to evaluate it that is a professional .. most part useless. With a bit of prep.. he shown us that we can change our scores as much as 20 points or more. To put it in perspective... a higher than average intelligent person could score in the Mensa level. Since you found that useful, check into "Focus 3" There are people that like that layout and helps many in the business field achieve more. Helps with paths of development and problem solving, helps train to prevent .. preventable mistakes. Much of what is there (had to take it) is found elsewhere, but structured in a way that is a but more solid. Easier to follow (path way) I'm not disagreeing with you. The test is unreliable. We can agree on that 100%. There is a vested interest to push the MTBI onto employers because there is money to be made. I get that and I'm glad there is discussions about the use. The problem I have though is that people discount the cognitive functions and/or the 16 different types of personalities that the test is supposed to determine simply because the test is unreliable. It's like saying intelligence doesn't exist because IQ tests are unreliable. It's absurd. But that is kind of the message in some of these youtube videos or articles that are dismissive about the MBTI tests. They want you to think that your personalty doesn't matter when it comes to the type of career you choose. It does matter.....a lot. Ever wonder why people get degrees in a certain field and never land a job in that field? Every wonder why people get burnt out or stressed easily? It's because they chose a career that doesn't fit with their personality. They chose a career where they literally have to force their brains to function a certain way that is not suitable for the cognitive functions they have. If you are not a thinker, then it's going to be hard if you choose a field where all you do is think. If you are not a people person, then it's going to be hard working as a social worker. You will never excel at what you do. You will barely get by and be unsatisfied. People have this notion that they can learn anything only if they try harder. It works sometimes, but they wind up unsatisfied because they look around at their co-workers who seem to breeze by and get the promotions. The people who get the promotions and excel are people that chose a career that is best suited for their brain functions. It's why it is important for people to be real with themselves and quit living as if everyone can be equal when it comes to the job market.

Reason why many have so much against the test. It is used, as unreliable as it is, as an indicator without further testing or investigation... here is your results.. you are this and these things are what you want.. A few months or years later after a person expanded their understanding of the world and spent thousands upon thousands of dollars and hundreds upon hundreds of hours pursuing a degree based on this test. Take the test again and it is saying something different. They find out their degree and future prospects are shit and they hate the job/career because they aren't what the test indicated so many years ago.. this is due to the inconsistencies which are the very reason those people on Youtube and in the professional field of Physiology dismiss that test so much. the test has been proven to be unreliable.. you even agree to that. The results of that very test that is used to plan a future career is based on something that is unreliable. What happens after those thousands of dollars are spent and all that time? When the person realize what they have worked so hard on is complete shit! All due to some random unreliable test they taken? How do you think those people feel? This is the reason I am against the test. this has happened time and time again. there are other ways to help plan on your career and future. aptitude test can provide info on those traits and talents a person has that will make their job prospects much easier. Help them fit into a job and future choices. These are more reliable than the personality test.

Yes, the test is unreliable to determine your personality type if you only take it one time. Confimation bias is a hell of a drug, and MB doesn't get more accurate the more times you take it either, literally the opposite, because it's not a granular binary test, or any combination thereof.

They need a better test. I would imagine people could be a bit smarter about it though and look into the functions. That is the problem. People want a simple answer. They don't want to do the work. It's kind of their fault for basing their career choice by what someone tells them or how they feel. There are so many things wrong with our educational system. This is just one of the many things we can fix. But even if we fix every issue, people will STILL choose a career based on the notion that "you can be anything". It's wrong. I mean hell, these people don't even look into the job market to see if there is any demand for the degree they are trying to get. They don't even look at the pay scale of these jobs. So many factors go into your career choice, but people make their decision based on how they feel. They try to go against the grain and wind up in debt because now they are over qualified for even a minimum wage job.

Accurate in the sense that you have to look at all the results and look for the most common result and then look at the functions. In other words if you take the test 10 times, then you have to look at all 10 results. Take the most common result and look at the functions to see if it applies to you. The first time I took the test, I got INFJ. The second time I got INTJ. The third time I got INTJ. I then started answering the questions to purposely skew the results to see what it would show, but at that point I know 100% that I'm not being truthful with the questions. Never once, even with skewing the answers, did it pop up ES** whatever.

Those aren't great but can show where your strengths are and help with the decisions. This is one of the tools I was referring to when stating there was a need for other sources if someone used the Briggs test. Other things can be done like shadowing a professional in the field.. and other things that are far more telling than the Briggs Myers test.
Reginald_001 Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Don't ask me how but I managed to 'shoot a load' or parts of it, straight into my eye... this never happened to me (unplanned hehehe..). Had a burning eye the whole night, now I'm tired and my workday has just started and my eye is still sore.
Dallas-Arbiter Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 I have to go get my drivers license renewed tomorrow. So I'm going to be sitting in an office reading Home and Garden magazines for 3 hours. Fun times. But on the bright side, I won't need to do it again for 8 years.

Where I live, it's 5 years. BTW be sure to bring birth cert, Soc Sec card, and a few utility/property tax bills. And a credit card bill. Because RealID kicks in next year, and you may as well go ahead and get that fancy gold star on the top right portion of your license. Federal Gov't run amok... Sure, but if you ever wish to board a plane ever again, or enter a federal gov't building, there you are. You boiled little frog.

Or get a passport, sure it is over a hundred and silly to use for domestic flights but....at least the Dept of State won't mess up as much as your local DMV. Though , I guess, it is easier to get the DMV to fix a mistake than the DoS.

For some reason the DMV automatically sent me an updated license with the requisite gold star. Never actually knew what the fuck that was about because I can't pay attention to politics to save my life. ADHD is so much fun.

LoveLeech Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 I have a few things on my mind... I'm lonely but I'm not particularly sad about it, I just crave some company right now. I'm also a bit torn about how I want to go about getting some tone. Giving my figure some more shape sounds nice, but I don't want to lose weight. It seems like most exercise routines focus on weight loss and it's a bit frustrating since I have the opposite problem. I want a nice butt, not a flat butt! Why does my body refuse to retain fat? Also, why is every tentacle mod I find either broken or missing?

Depending on your location the DMV will send out updated licensees due to safe driving etc etc. I've gone so long before the last update, when ID'd people would question the photo until I pointed out the age of the ID... THEN the valid authorization etc etc. Guess we can't do it forever as the very last time they made me go get an update photo.

Let's just say I'd rather work solo than sharing a workload with one of them. Not to mention such people's usefulness on a job tend to match their hygiene.
Reginald_001 Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 I have had a new date, half an hour from now. Pork Type Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Lately, I've been indulging in this fantastical thought process. What if I could be transported back in time.... to the age of 12 or so... and continue to possess my current 50 year old mindset? Fuck. I'd probably get actually remanded to the military/reform school that my mom always threatened me with. Because I'd call her out as a psychotic, raging cunt. (100% accurate) Calling my dad out as a fucking pansy. Attempting to transform ME, into the affected frilly foo-foo that his own mother turned him into. Shit got me raped. It's no wonder, how the two of them formed a match made in Hell. She was an abuse dispenser. He was a willing abuse receptacle. And I'm their offspring.
---nikoli Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 I really wish these brain dead individuals could keyword correctly... After trying to find some images to use as painting replacers that I could alter to look like an oil or watercolor painting for a mod I'm making for myself, I've given up... Out of the first 300 images that came up key-wording 'CGI lesbian' in the search engine only 6 were of actual lesbian images, and one of those was of actual people not CGI characters. On the second page a grand total of 9 out of 300, pages three and four had 7 each, and page five had a grand total of ZERO... Lesbian requires at least two females... If a penis is involved it is NOT lesbian... Futa, futanari, hermaphrodites, androgyny, bestiality, shemales, sissy-boys, guys with tits, and hetro are not lesbian... So that's 1500 images with only 29 being labeled correctly. 2
