So my initial rejection of 'wtf.. is this??' was pretty on spot on.. :)

Yup, I don't think anyone on this planet got any reaction that wasn't "WTF is this abomination?", regardless of whether they are furries or not.

That won't stop stupid people and/or trolls from blaming it on us, though... Thanks, Hollywood. :classic_dodgy:

If it's any comfort to you (speaking as a stupid person) I didn't watch the trailer, won't see the movie (unless it's on a sub-channel at 3AM)

I just saw 'Alice through the looking glass' and it was panned too; I loved it.

I wonder why it isn't on TV 20 times a week (I mean, if everyone hated it so much).

Furry rabbit, furry mouse, furry cat, big-giant-head, they must've pissed a lotta people off.

But my only experience with furry celebrities is chester cheetah.

Rubber people, now that's something I could get into.

Rubber.

People.

(*sigh*) Plava Laguna was hot. (the rubber opera singer)

The water pipes are making a whining noise again... Do i need a plumber or a psychologist? ?

At one point.. you'll likely need both.. I have a high pitched whining tone that comes out of my fridge. I called the landlord three times, he says it's 'normal'.. called the manufacturer.. says 'it's normal'.. Then I try to explain that no.. this is not the normal high pitched tone. It's really LOUD. So I asked them 'come over and listen to it yourself'.. nope.. they won't do it.

So now I need to break my fridge somehow, without losing my warrantee, so that finally they will replace it with one that doesn't have this high pitched tone.

Don't worry, considering the time of the year and heat etc.. I believe it is the condenser. I had a problem like that with a previous refrigerator (well actually a standing freezer)  I was told the belt / bearing was what went out.  Not sure if it is the same in your case, but if it is.. in a few months or less it will die of its own.

That would be awesome. Do I need to turn it higher to speed up the process of decay?

Unfortunately.. I don't think so.  You could try... but there is only so much it will do and you'd freeze your fruit and other things (or really make it unreasonably cold)  Again, only from my experience.

I also thought. sometimes there is a tray under it that might need cleaning and if there are any coils exposed.. on the back, maybe cleaning dust and such out from it. Basically a good cleaning of the back and underneith.. might help. If it doesn't at least when it does go out.. and you get service.. they won't look at you like you are careless and caused the issue. (if there was a lot of dust and such) ;)

It's built into the kitchen. All rental so I'm not even sure I can take it out without voiding warrantee or making a mess with the landlord.

I might just get a service guy in to check it out, have them write a report then use that report to get service. ;)

As a landlord, troubleshooting refrigerator problems are hard, especially when renters don't tell you that they have been wiping up water that someone "spilled" when they opened the door.  Like others have stated, it is (at best) dust clogging the motor or at worst, a motor bearing is giving out (or something uncommon like a dead rodent blocking something, or something).    That happens and I would replace the entire fridge and replace the motor (keeping the now repaired fridge in case another unit needed it).  Depending on your rental agreement, the cost for a service guy might or might not be picked up by the landlord, Unfortunately, sometimes tenants lie for a number of reasons, especially if you have a shitty landlord who charges service call fees.   If it is my property, I have a vested interest in  tenants telling me about minor issues rather than trying to avoid a maintenance fee.

Just came across a list of things to watch out for as warning signs of someone who has a "higher than normal" likelihood of being depressed.  Every last one of those traits I could pull directly from the habits/mannerisms of an old friend.  Especially #12.  Unfortunately, it's too late for her.  Damn I miss her.

Here's the list:

I only just read a thread from a person who wanted love and acceptance.

He was called an asshole (a dumb asshole) by one of the forum members.

I don't think I'm on the same wavelength as most of you.

I can't be.

In my experience, EVERYone would like to be loved and accepted, except maybe ranters, shooters, and insane killers (OK forget it)

Have you ever bought a huge (30pack) of beer, based upon a supposedly trusted brand name, and then discovered that you hate it?

This is me, right now, with Coors. I can't wait to finally drink my way through this taste dystopia.

NO! It doesn't mean I'm more drunk than usual. Probably less. It's really that gross. I hesitate to crack another can open.

But I'm not made of money, so I'll soldier through it somehow. And then never buy it again.

When it comes to beers of any kind I only have one thing to say and that's Guinness.

I haven't had a drink since I started coming here. Prolly explains the whole wavelength thing...

But people who pine after beer, think about it tons, have loving adjectives to describe it,

and replacements and alternatives when they can't have any,

explain some of the kinky mods.

Kinky.

I just found a file called 'badshareddlls.txt' on my D drive. Noticed it was made 6 am in the morning on a Saturday, which is when I'm usually still FAST asleep.. So I did a deep dive, because w.t.f. is creating that shit on my D drive, right?

So I did a Dr. Google on 'badshareddlls.txt' and lo and behold 3 effin results..

That is usually a bad sign. It either means this is something new, or it's unique to my system.

Did some digging, turns out that there's a WMI script floating out there that checks your system registry for bad pointers to shared DLL's (Which shouldn't be removed if they are flagged as 'shared' by an installer, but are often NOT flagged as 'shared' by the programmers, meaning that when you uninstall their program you also break some other apps, should they be using that shared DLL).

Anyways.. I knew I had to dive deeper, because I sure has HELL did NOT copy/paste that script to run it.

So I went into the Event Logs and found some weird security warnings there.. a boot at 6am.. a special elevated privileges login from NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM.

Ok so this is getting juicy now..

I have Windows Updates set to manual and sometimes I just roll the KB's out manually because I don't really like the update feature. Manually I can make sure these KB's won't break or bork my system up (it has happened).

So I go into the application log and there it is:

image.png.a0a5ed870ca121d75eb46c807a940f60.png

So WHAT THE FUCK.. (!)

At this point I start sweating.. just a little bit. Because I was pretty sure I wasn't awake Saturday at 6 am.. or was I??

So I scroll on.. and there it is..

image.png.b4bf38ba811f8ecce27826b9dad3ef6f.png

And I go like.. WAIT A MINUTE.. Saturday?  6 AM?

And then I remember that I woke up, nauseous as fuck with a migraine and this app had installed together with some new hardware I'd bought (bluetooth headset) and it was bugging me, so I deinstalled it.

So yeah.. that was on my mind for about 15 minutes or so..

You only think you woke up nauseous as fuck.. the New World Order of Cats wants you to think that.. It was hypnotic suggestion because you were getting close to the discovery of their world order.

What's on my mind? The lack of any rant-thread for games, which this place mostly is, a gaming forum.

OK a sex forum for games.

Anyway (pushing on in my bad writing style, because WTH else can I do)

I am currently using sims 4 mods, most of which ask for support of some kind.

I don't want the authors to up-and-leave, graduate-get married-have kids, I want them to keep modding,

so I'll send them money (That's my goal, anyway).

Wickedwhims, um, MCCC (which I can't really find out much about here, it's the loch ness monster of loverslab)

How the hell did I ever learn about MC(command center)? I don't know, I'm pretty thick.

OK that's two.

CNWW, three (I'm editing this, I damn near forgot)

And one other, a person who does real nice clothes, but I get the feeling they're just starting out.

They need money (everyone does) but sending piddly amounts seems so ineffective.

They could catch a cold or go on a hot date and decide to never mod again.

So, budgetwise:

a tiny amount for the biggie mods,

a larger amount for the teeny modder.

Ashal needs donations but they go unnoticed, like prayers to God.

So I've told patreon (today) to unenroll me here, so I can better support Modders, here. (except for MC, it isn't here).

3+3+3+10 (I'm thinking), and it's very do-able, *one-time*.

It's the monthly charges, the credit-card number twisting in the wind like a flag, that has me worried.

O, and every patreon donation comes with its own surcharge.

OK I (think) I promise donations this month, and if I cancel later I hope they don't take it personally.

(addendum for first paragraph)

I know about starting threads, gregahit does too and locks them.

Which Music-player-format to use (locked)

Whats a good group of mods to have? (locked)

And some poor threads go unanswered, f o r e v e r,

or a mean person derails the thread (eg, "masturbation is cheaper")

Final edit: I must've been hungry when I wrote this.

Yes, I gave money, no, it's nowhere near what I wanted.

Carry on.

I heard that you can rant about gaming gripes in that thread. But it's a bit scary in there, so I didn't really look. ?

I'm still reading the rest of your post, but I know already that I'm going to click on the green 'like' button, wondering why I suddenly put these 'quotes' around my words all the time.

I've gotten to the point where I change the channel at awkward conversations.

"Monk" is mostly unwatchable for me.

Plus the redacted is a total redacted, or a shill (I'm never sure)

Welp... while reading an apocalyptic text adventure, I've discovered I really like eastern dragons! And after being swallowed whole several times by them I have also discovered I like Dragon Vore.

In other news I actually 100%'ed Spyro: A Hero's Tail, and I had an absolute blast for the 14 hours I put into it. Though I have a few minor gripes about the game like how the Ball Gadget was only used 3 times or how the model viewer in the extras doesn't have all the models (like Elder Magnus to name one). But aside from that, it's really fun for a game on the PS2.
