For a country, being perceived as so unattractive to emigrates so that they don't stay is a thing. But being perceived so unattractive that even the locals don't is another.

It's 3 AM and I can't sleep. My body is exhausted. I have that detached feeling like I'm just numb. But my mind won't shut up. It's just a billion thoughts whirring around. Every year, it's like this during the holiday season. Nothing like being a gay girl with a family who absolutely resents me, and the dumbest part is, I miss them. They're horrible to me, but I want to talk to them. Ugh. I'd love to hibernate and wake up on January 2nd.

 

Literally, Thanksgiving was me crying and eating this amazing meal I made. I wanted to call home so badly, but I didn't want to go thru all the drama and homophobia again.

 

So, I'm awake and looking at mods and writing a short story of sorts and watching Netflix. And all that said, I'm still somehow okay. Like, I know tomorrow will be a good day. I know I'll be fine.

 

Okay, venting done. I hope you're having a beautiful day when you read this! You absolutely deserve to have a beautiful day ❤️

Dave Chappelle got off relatively lucky, all things considered, as he could have been given the traditional Taliban welcoming reception for comedians like DC received right in his own home town. Missing out on future engagements is a fair sight better than missing out on one's entire future.

I watched recently Monty Python because i like it.

Such a show had no chance today i assume. There are so many offensive things in it..... well.

 

My favorite show was Fawlty Towers and this got altered to make it welcome again in the present.

Ah but the first two seasons of Deadwood are pretty good.    Just like Rome (cancelled because it was too expensive).   But, then again, Rome is certainly not a western.
