As for applying the escape mechanics to ZAZ items all of the ZAZ items would need to be built as custom DD items. It isn't hard to do, I have a mod that did so with previous versions of DD and I believe there were others that did it as well but I don't know if any have been updated to use v4, I know mine hasn't.

Just checked out your devious extras mod, looks promising. If you ever do update I'd be interested in trying it out. I'm currently using UUNP body though, so no idea if that would be compatible.

All the items in it used the models from ZAZ Animation Pack. As it is the items should still work other than yokes or armbinders but I don't think there are any in it as it was made just before the yokes were added to DD. Everything else should still work using the ZAZ Animation Pack's features and options since it works off of keywords (which are still there).

After updating to 4.0, I'm having an issue with audio: gag sounds aren't playing during scenes. Instead, the character's assigned sexlab voice plays.

 

I did some testing and found that zbf items still cause characters to make gagged sounds during scenes, but DD items do not.

It's due to the removal of ZAZ keywords from DD items in 4.0. People have reported that GagSFX will re-enable the gagged sounds, however.

Well, ran both MO and FNIS 7XXL as administrator. I'm using "FNIS Behavior V7_0 XXL-11811-7-0-XXL"
I have to add that I still have FNIS 6.3 installed in MO, it's not being activated so the files are hopefully not causing problems.

You do realize that we can't scroll the image you posted to actually SEE the error you are talking about?  All we can see is that some mod you've installed changes the name and the height settings but your image doesn't show what mod does that.  That shouldn't be causing crashes though.  Skyrim.exe is more of a hornets nest of bugs than a stable piece of code, it works pretty good until you start modding it and then it shows it's true nature.  Here's a post that will help with some of the known bugs:

LookupDeviceType received invalid keyword [Keyword <zad_deviousheavybondage(xx05226c)>] with xx the load index.

 

 

Updated today a -bunch- of stuff. Went zap 8 AND dd 4 in one go.

 

Using MO - nothing overrides that item, but then that item didnt exist prior (its the boobie yoke), the boobs are squished, and looks good, even hdt-wise flawless, but the arms do not join and refuse to move into the outer rings.

 

Of course I did all the usual stuff......

 

Wondering, there is only ONE script overridden and that's "zadlibs pex"

by inflation framework patches, i yet have to update bunch of more stuff to zap8/dd4 level I suppose

 

Well zad is in the file's name and also in the error, so it might be exactly that. Probably is.

That's a known issue with the patch from slif, do not use that patch as it WILL break dd.

zadlibs is one of the core scripts, and replacing it with an older version WILL cause dd to stop working properly.

What's the difference between device difficulties? From Vanilla to Born Slave.

I don't see any information on it.

 

I think the useful features were removed, such as the option about using the key once and the struggling cooldown.

I wonder, why were those features removed?

I removed the file and voila the hands went in.

I think on vanilla you unlock yourself with lockpick ("pick lock") and no breaks and on born slave as good as every "real" key ("unlock") gonna break, you need NPC to open them, because you yourself don't actually want to.......... 

at least thats what I think

I managed to break a "real" key with "questioning" difficulty

If I recall, they got removed to allow every device to individually set parameters. Something that also makes it easier for mod creators to make custom devices, since one only needs to edit properties in the creation kit.

From 75% easier&shorter waits on easiest to 75% harder&longer waits on hardest.

So that mod authors could use them as features of specific devices rather than the settings affecting every device. They can use the same script for a device that's inescapable but never breaks its key and for a device that's easy to pick but using the keys might result in the lock getting jammed (fragile/rusty keys or such).

No, it only appears to work until you run into a problem. The requirements were not updated to include FNIS 7.0 on a whim.

I was rather refering to the amount of animations, there is a lot of stuff... but afaik the limit for FNIS 7 XXL should be equal or higher than for v6.3. It might be possible that something is wrong there with the limit for FNIS 7 when it reports out of bound but works with 6.3, i never tried to install such an amount of animations. Scratching the edge of 12k is enough for me. ;)

Make sure it's the latest version of fnis 7 (xxl) dated 30 oct 2017, and not one of the beta versions of fnis 7.

Is there any way to trigger Devious Devices idles/animations on NPCs via console commands or other mods? As of now NPCs will never attempt to struggle out of devices on their own, so I wanted to at least have them look like they are trying. Previously I was able to trigger struggle animations on NPCs by using Zaz's animation test option from its MCM menu, but due to the removal of Zaz keywords that's no longer possible.
I was thinking of using something like Skyrim's "playidle" command, but I'd need a list of DD's idle animation IDs to make that work. Pretty much any way to trigger specific DD animations on NPCs would do the trick though.

 

Any insight on that topic would be appreciated!

Installation of this mod generates a FNIS error for some reason...

 

"Wrong subblock header or end, line: 37 PatchAnimationFiles.txt"

 

I am not entirely sure why it occurs, I would be glad to provide additional details for anyone interested in helping me. I ran FNIS with many mods, many removed and tried one-by-one to find the culprit and it seems DD - Integration is the cause.

 

I am using FNIS 7XXL.

Take a look at the very last condition in the first if-statement. It always checks against the player. But shouldn't it check against the actor that the function is called on? Because the way it's written there, I can see why it's not working. Whatever factions the actor is in, don't actually matter. As soon as the loop decides to play the horny animation, it'll happen.

 

To test my theory, I changed my code so that the player is also set to be animating. And lo and behold, now the actor can be stimulated for several minutes and she never plays a horny animation or loses her animating state. But I don't think that's how it's supposed to work.

 

 

I recently downloaded version 4.0 of DDi and it seems like this bug has not been fixed yet. The new zabLibs.psc still always checks against the player (and not the actor on which the function is called):

It would really be nice if this could be fixed. Just changing it from "!IsAnimating(PlayerRef)" to "!IsAnimating(akActor)" should do the trick. I don't understand what the hold-up is. Is there anything I'm missing or not understanding?

It could just be that they missed it. You might need to submit a pull request with the fix to their Github to actually get their attention.

They've said in the deb/beta thread that you should probably also mention it in the dev/beta thread, because they don't always notice new pull requests.

From what I can tell, the option is removed and set to what used to be "medium".

Where exactly is that thread? I don't see it in the public forum. I remember there was a private thread where you only could get in via invitation. But then they dropped that and started a new one. And they didn't invite me for that new beta thread, so I don't have access anymore.

 

Unless I'm mistaken, this thread here is the only place where I can report bugs.
