Maddac Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 all the DD4 modders have to do is renable the dialogue option, surely that is something that can be done quickly and easily, then release an updated version of DD4 integration with it active. I dont care about the missing quests, but am really annoyed that the dialogue option to request help from NPC's is missing. once equipped with a yoke or straightjacket it is nigh on impossible to get out of them without help.
caocaothedeciever Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 Hi there! I have all of the body based Devious Devices functioning. The biggest problem I have is that the gags aren't appearing. When I equip the gag on my character, or on others, it simply doesn't equip. It shows up in my inventory, but no textures, and in my own, or an NPC's inventory it's shown as unequipped. When I interact with other characters, it's as though it's not there at all. I even tried equipping some of the DD gags via DD equip, and while the Heretical Resources are showing up, none of the gags are. Also, I notice that my devices and ZaZ gags will get a bit wonky when I load into different locations (i.e. from Skyrim into a shop)- the ZaZ gags are equipped, but the mouth acts as though it's not there. The Armbinders are still on, but the arms (missing the hands!) are free. Anyone know what might be causing this? (This is a minor problem but I was hoping someone might have an idea!) Set zadDialogueGagDisable to 1 that should disable the entire gag talk system.
Maddac Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 29 minutes ago, Veladarius said: Set zadDialogueGagDisable to 1 that should disable the entire gag talk system. fair enough, but its not gag talk thats the issue, its the dialogue options in DDI where PC isnt gagged but is in an armbinder or yoke and asks a NPC if they can help her (or him). it was there in DDI3.3 but isnt there in DDI4 and all i want to do is re-enable it as that was alot of fun to play with, not knowing what the NPCs were going to do. note that in DDI4 all the dialogue options are still there in test5edit, just not enabled in game

Even I could manage to do that but, as I was trying to point out on the DCL thread, I try not to ever 'cheat'! Going back on a borked game is fair enough, but it's a better trial of wits to go where it takes you. But to find you're, to all intents and purposes, 'stuck' because of the basic framework/mod mechanics dictats, really sucks

Typing in the console help "straitjacket" "ddi" "zad" "handcuffs". Did not help. Cursed loot has nothing on straitjackets. AddItemMenu mod gets me some items from the DDi but no new 4.0 items in there.

Some of the devious devices bring up an error - all seem related to restricting arm movement like yokes or arm binders. Error text: LookupDeviceType received invalid keyword [Keyword <zad_DeviousHeavyBondage (1405226C)>] (I have encountered a couple different strings of numbers at the end in place of 1405226c). When i put items on everything is fine. the error occurs when removing them, and messes up clearing the related animation so if I'm in a yoke I will keep walking around with my arms up afterwards. Doing other animations like sitting, equipping and drawing weapons, etc work but don't clear the "hands up pose" (or whatever pose the arm restraints required) so as soon as I stand up or sheath weapons I go back to the hands up pose. I have seen comments in other threads about fixing this with a fix that can be found on Github or by manually editing a document/file in devious devices somewhere but they seem to be a year or 2 out of date and haven't found anything I can follow to correct this (what file on github, or what edits to make in what file in the mod). if someone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. load order sorted by loot and I can include the load order if you need it. Thanks in advance Make sure that DDa, DDi and DDx are all up to date. And if you're using any mods that patches devious devices, make sure they are made for DDi 4.

Examples include thrashing about in an armbinder and tugging at her chastity belt. The "tug" animation is most problematic since my characters generally wear one any time they leave their house. The animation runs a relatively long time and seems to happen with increasing frequency as the character's arrousal increases. Each attempt increases arrousal even more. Eventually my character's arrousal is stuck at 100 and she seems to spend as much or more time uselessly tugging at her belt than anything else. With DDi 3 arrousal, while belted, would eventually decay to zero (unless plugged or pierced). I looked over the events in the MCM menu for a knob to adjust this, but did not find one. Perhaps it is not well labeled? If there is a setting what is it called? Someday you might implement a mechanic where she stops trying after conluding that tugging is futile after two or three tries. Devious devices assets, integration and expansion are all the newest version downloaded within the last week.. I honestly just started playing with modded skyrim a week ago after abandoning SE since it has none of the good mods. I am using lots of mods that modify devious devices. I'll go back and check the details on compatibility but I believe they are all compatible as I was careful to check the requirements on each as I downloaded and installed all their dependencies/requirements. any other suggestions while I'm doing all that?

Spontaneous armbinder struggle is definitely an event, and some chastity belt events, like chafing, can trigger one of the belt tugging animations. You can set the chance of any of these happening whenever an event poll is taken (as well as how long between polls.) 1

The three belted events are: "Belt Chafing Chance", "Wet Padding Chance", and "Belted Empty Chance". They each call ChastityBeltStruggle in zadLibs.psc. I also found out that the "tug" animation runs for 30 seconds which is twice as long as any other. Since the "30" is a hard coded constant the only option to make the character spend less time doing it is to make it happen less often. I tried key Iv got from said additem but when i try to unlock i get the message that i cant remove the nipple chain piercing when wearing a rubbersuit!? Well, I only got that plug and nothing else so what gives? Is it a quest item maybe?

The only reason I ask, is that sometimes they can unequip the visual component, but the the item is still equipped in your inventory. Second thought: Are you certain that this is a DD plug and not a Zaz plug, because those have issues with unequips Third thought: Have you used the option in the MCM menu to remove items? If you also have Cursed Loot, you can use the safeword option in that MCM menu as well. Fourth thought: Try player.removeitem or player.unequipitem
