So By removing the submit belt.esp it fixed and wont crash on startup, hopefully I don't need that for anything else anymore and its included in another mods file.

How hard would it be to add an option that made escape progressively more difficult? So restraints would start off quite easy to remove, but each one that you escaped from would add, say, five points to the difficulty of the next one.

It's sort of how I play these things anyway, so no worries if it's a pain to do. Just thought I'd share :)

Im having an issue with the lastest update.
My gag / shoes / harness do not show up anymore. ( on the model or as a equipped item )

I have made sure all of my versions are up to date with proper load order.

And everything worked fine before the update.

Got ideas ? Solutions ? Troubleshoot ?

Hrr. Hrrhè, it seems to work exactly as it is supposed to do, huh?

...

Armbinder: Keep struggling until the message tells you it is looser than before, then take it off.

Belt: Get a key. Get crazy high stats and keep trying. If you did not change the difficulty setting before getting it, you have something of a 15%* chance with the relevant skill at 100.

* - Actually not sure of the formula and cannot check ingame description right now, but standard difficulty value is "185", which is supposedly subtracted by relevant skill before being checked. I assumed <difficulty> - <skill> < 1d100 as formula, but you can check up the actual one by reading the MCM description of that number in a save without equipped restraints.

Would be easy to add an option for that, though it would be a mod-wide escape difficulty increase (Not per device). I'll add it to the list.

The Harness/Shoes moved from LADL, to Expansion as of last update. I imagine that removing the items (Add a key, unequip them, remove the key, remove the item) and replacing them would probably solve the problem.

Gags not rendering is probably caused by one of two things: You have an old version of assets, or you have an old version of the "DD Males Addon", which could cause that behavior.

Haha, indeed.

You can also escape from the armbinder by asking for help (While wearing a standard armbinder, a new dialogue option should be available). How much success you'll have with this method depends on how much the person you're talking to likes you, though..

Regarding the belt, that depends on how you were equipped with it. If it's from a quest, that quest will typically have a way of removing it. If it's not, you can always craft a key (After reading the Forbidden Tome), or find a key (Via a mod like For the Masses).

EDIT: Forums ate the last part of my response.

A while ago someone asked for ballet heels integration. There seems to be some sounds released. Now we only need some proper animations.

http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/988-high-heel-footsteps-only-for-high-heels/

Any possibility of some metal grinding sound at the locking/unlocking of the items? Should be enough material on youtube and movies :) Also some cracking/scuffing leather sounds while wearing the armbinder would be awesome. At the moment there are only moaning sounds if I'm not mistaken.

How do I remove the slave harness? I'm using LADL. When I try to remove it, it only says 'put on'. When I try to put it in the chest, it reequips. When I try to drop it, it says there's been an error with my DD installation...

The slave harness is removed like any other device. Lacking both the acutal error message, and your Papyrus.0.log (Which almost all of the messages tell you contains more information) I'm unable to troubleshoot your problem.

Actually, I have this problem too, the option to remove with key never appears.

I opened it on TES5Edit, and turns out the Devious Devices - Expansion.esm was calling a keyword that does not exist for checking if you're wearing the harness. I deleted that second condition (WornHasKeyword), and it works now. Not sure if I broke anything by doing that, though (probably gonna give the option to use the key when trying to equip, or something like that, I guess?).

Seems like the "Force it open" option has the same problem, but I'm playing a low level character (which means I don't even try to force stuff open), so I haven't paid atention to that.

Mm. Thanks for the report, you two. I will look in to that, and correct it for 2.7.5.

Hello all!

First off, I would like to start by saying that this is an excellent mod that I use quite regularly and want to take a second to express my gratitude to everyone responsible for its existence. Thank you!

Secondly (and quite unfortunately), I am experiencing random CTDs with the latest version. I had been using v2.6.6 (and its requirements/options) without fail for the longest time, so when the newest iteration rolled out, I was more than willing to upgrade. Rather than upgrading, however, I was able to do a fresh install of v2.7.4 (as well as its requirements) after I decided (voluntarily) to revert back to vanilla Skyrim and re-install my mods from the ground up. This choice arose out of a series of recurring problems I was having with existing mods that were trampling over one another and causing serious stability issues.

But I digress. Back to the crux of the issue...

Since doing a fresh install of DD v2.7.4 (and its requirements as well as some of the optional mods that enhance it), my game randomly crashes whenever the devices are equipped to my character (no such issues yet using them on NPCs oddly enough). I presently use the following mods that are directly (or indirectly by way of another mod dependency) associated with DD:

DD Assets v2.7

DD Integration v2.7.4

DD Expansion (because I use CBBE)

ZaZ Animations v0551

FNIS v5.02

SexLab Framework v1.39b

SexLab Aroused (the most recent version, I forget the actual variant)

I also use the following optional mods:

Alternate Start - Live a Deviant Life (and obviously its requirement - Alternate Start - Live Another Life)

GagSFX v1.03 (as well as its Dragonborn and Dawnguard add-ons)

DD - Gags +

Devious Assets for Bodyslide - CBBE, PSB, HDT Bodies

To the best of my knowledge, I have accurately followed the installation instructions of the mods listed above, but I still get CTD from time to time (especially when I use the Live a Deviant Life mod to start my game). The frequency of the crashes seems to vary widely, ranging from instant CTD the second the first piece of gear is equipped to my character on game start up, to a brief window between 10-15 minutes before things go awry, and (in some cases) unhindered gameplay for an hour or more before it ceases working.

Certain regions in the game also seem to crash more often than others (such as Alftand or the area near Winterhold - where I experiences instant CTD if I am spawned there). That is in contrast to being spawned in locations in the Rift or near Falkreath, both of which seem to be more stable than any other location(s).

Needles to say, I am stumped as to why my game is crashing. FNIS reports no errors when I run it, and TES5 Edit doesn't detect any problems with my load order. The only other thing I could surmise that might be causing this issue is a script overload as I do run Frostfall as well along side DD. Granted, my computer isn't the most powerful machine, but I was able to run DD v2.6.6 with Frostfall without incident, so I'm not certain that this is the issue.

Any insights or help as to how I could manage to stabilize my game/this mod so I can play it without randomly crashing would be greatly appreciated.

@Raziel234, do you have SKSE 1.7 installed? Or some other variant of Sheeson's memory mod?  It cured many of my CTD problems, especially those that seemed to happen when traveling from one area to another.

Posted

Yes, so far as I know I have the most up-to-date version of SKSE installed (v1.7.0). Since I re-installed all of my mods, I've only used the most recent/updated versions of older ones that I had been using, so nothing should (theoretically at least) be out of date or conflicting.

About the only other thing I can think of that might cause these unpredictable crashes is my use of the HDT system (currently v14.28 - and I am using a compatible skeleton, specifically this one). I haven't seen anything that explicitly says DD is incompatible with HDT, but Skyrim does like to behave oddly even when you think things should work together.

Posted

I'm using HDT with the same skeleton, and I think that many other people are also, so I doubt there's anything inherent with DD and HDT that causes CTDs.  The only other thing that I've seen a lot of people reporting recently is crashes caused by using the latest version of zaz Animation Pack, but those problems only happen if people aren't up to date on FNIS, which I think you said you were.  Sorry I couldn't help.

No hope of troubleshooting this without more debugging information: Post a few Papyrus.0.log's, in which you duplicate some of the above mentioned conditions that cause a CTD.

This is a general stability guide that I would recommend to anyone who have CTD issues where the cause is not clear. Such as the 10min-15min stability or the generally unstable areas you describe....

Actually, downgrading to the previous ZaZ Animations (v0054) seems to have remedied the issue. Since doing so, I have managed to play my game sans CTD (even in the aforementioned "unstable" areas). For now I can say that the problem seems to have been resolved, but I am still going to see about making use of the stability guide (thank you xaz for that). And thanks to everyone else for the prompt responses.

In the future, however, if I do experience a crash and need to post a Papyrus log for a more detailed troubleshoot, where would I find that log on my machine? (sorry for the stupid question, but I actually have no idea where they might be).

General question on the restraints (i.e. arm and leg cuffs), are they just cosmetic or do they affect the pc skills?

The reason I ask is that on a playthrough using LADL an attacker dropped a chastity key and it's a difficult decision whether to remove the belt or the bra as they both gimp the character in different ways (plugs going off at awkward time v's reduced stats), OTOH the restraints don't seem to have any real effect (unless I've missed it somewhere).

Typically logs don't reveal much when it comes to CTD, but it's good to know how to catch them anyway.

My guess is that Zaz has nothing to do with your CTD. That said, if I were in your shoes, I would not touch a working configuration of Skyrim that I was happy with.

If the CTDs come back, I really do recommend the guide though.

Arm/Leg cuffs are purely cosmetic for the time being. This is set to change soon, however.

I believe there exists a mod that adds an option to have negative effects on binders, but I could be mistaken and it applies to chastity bra.

I am, however, very much looking forward to this.
