hey there ..my game CTD after auction ..

outcome mods 

SLAVES OF TAMRIEL 

SUBMISSIVE LOLA

SD

DEVIOUS FOLLOWER 

 

i updated you mod mid game ..& no pc wasn't enslaved & no Enslavement scripts were running when i did the update ..should i start a new game ..my pc is level 32 now ..

No 'real' answer form me, just general debugging advice.

I assume that the outcome mods are the current versions, being SoT++ 2.1.1, SLtR 2.0.24,  SD+, DFC 2.13.2

Secondly I assume that this wasn't a single CTD, but that you have never gotten past the auction. Single CTDs just happen, this being Skyrim ?

 

You can test which of these might be the culprit, by en-abling only one outcome.

If your last save before crashing isn't a hard save, make it one. You'll need this quite often for testing.

Load that save, open SS++ MCM, "make me a slave now", watch the outcome.

If it works, fine. disbale this, enable another, try again to crash it.

If it crashes, take a look at your papyrus log - any clues?

If all your possible outcomes are working alone, try combinations.

If some combinations don't work, then it might  be from this mod.

If ONE mod doesn't work, you should look in that mod's thread, too. Maybe there was a patch, or a warning, or an update that broke things.

many thanks ...works perfectly now ..it was a problem with Lola & probably the latest lola update fixed it ..as for the other outcome SLAVES OF TAMERIEL ..the mod it self keeps crashing on random parts ..so i think i 'm going to remove it ..

Hi, I was looking for Things in the dark but there's not SE version, but there is  SSE for From the Deep but I saw there's not option for From the deep on the new SS++ could you please make it an option??

I wanted to ask about the Leash Game. What were the major issues? Besides re-enslavement (that's always going to be a problem). Devious Framework itself seems to be pretty stable.

Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. It was fantastic when it did. The biggest issue was that legume dropped off and I wasn't smart enough to figure out how to keep things working. XD

Alright. :) I'm playing around with a new version of leash based on DFW 2.06 with zaz patch. May I upload it for testing? It edits some original DFW and Simple Slavery scripts.

Well, there's a challenge to maintaining two versions.  The previous incarnation seemed to have greater divergence over time between them.  And leash games are always problematic with the game's poor pathing AI.  Actors frequently get hung up on little obstacles.  As jfraser said, it's great when it works.  But it's frustrating when it doesn't, spoiling the experience of getting from defeat to enslavement.

I would envision this as being on top of the other mitigation with the 'bail money' scenario. 

 

The license would be the Freedom license XX0D1A19

 

Monoman1 added an API a while back that should make figuring out if the player has an active one fairly easy. ?

 

So the scenario could be as easy as a pop up something like this

You are taken to the auction house and while going through your stuff the auctioneer finds your valid freedom license

 

Auctioneer 1 "Oh crap! This one has papers."

 

Auctioneer 2 "Can't we just pretend we never saw them?"

 

Auctioneer 1 "Do you have any idea what the Jarl would do to use if we sold someone with valid papers? No way! Toss em out the door and lets get back to work"

 

Then the player can be left outside the auction house. 

 

 

You could also put a chance the they do just rip up the license and sell you anyway. ? (if you wanted to get fancy and all) 

 

Just like (if you wanted to get fancy on the other scenario) a random check to see if the 'bail money' you set aside is enough to outbid all the other potential bidders. ?

Thanks for the tip.  I found what I need in Survival's API file.  ?

I'll probably implement the setting as a slider, which does everything that a toggle does, and more.  I don't want to mess with any licenses in your inventory though, so even if the roll fails, you'd keep the license but they'd still sell you.  You're always free to dump the license if you think it should have been taken away.

Just my opinion -- I really like the idea of an SLS Freedom License acting like a "get out of slavery free" card.

 

Regarding the proposed enslavement insurance / bail money feature, I thought it was unlikely that I would ever use that feature.

 

In contrast, I would definitely take advantage of the SLS Freedom License --> Simple Slavery++ integration. That would be really cool!

@Corsayr, @Herowynne, please try these modified scripts and let me know if the change works properly for you (the MCM's test button should be helpful).  I'm not ready to release an update just yet (I'm looking at other features), but the script changes should be solid enough to use in your game.  If you set the chance to be set free to zero, the feature is considered disabled, so you won't see a message that the freedom license was ignored.

 

Edit:  Deleted scripts.  This is in the new update.

There are male slaves in the slave pen, and the dialog should change for male player characters.  If you've found any lines that refer to males as she or her, please quote it here as accurately as you can recall, and I'll fix it.

Thank you two for testing.  I was going to wait for more for an update, but I think I'll just release this now.  The insurance/bail feature can wait a bit, and I won't feel pressure to roll it out quickly (I want to do it, though).

Version 6.3.7

 

New:  An MCM setting to cause you to be set free if you have the freedom license from SexLab Survival (idea from Corsayr).

 

New:  An alternate slave poster texture provided by DeepBlueFrog (with a few edits by me).  It's an optional download.
