What could be more fun than learning how to mod a game you really enjoy? I guess even that isn't enough incentive.... :smirk:

Well, if you do, put in a a part of the mod that forces the player to understand when to use Fourier Transforms.

Well - in the beginning it wasn't fun for me.

I always left that to my sweetheart (now my wife) - she is the "nerd" of the two of us.


but at some point she didn't feel like spending 20 hours straight on why the mod I wanted (for Fallout or TES) didn't work.


Then there was the saying -> "Learn that yourself if you please"


what was left for me than to deal with it.
after more than 3 years I have more experience with mods than she ever had - which makes me very proud.
Of course I'm still learning and it's also fun to help others...


..if you would let them help you - which starts with the fact that you understand something:


"You are not at ZERO - but 2 kilometers under the earth's surface if you don't even specify in the request for a mod list whether the base game is running at all or that you are able to use the "nets" for your armor in the body slide to build..."

How idiots drive here where I live: clearly see I'm going a lot slower than they are, race up to sit on my bumper (in the right, or "slow" lane, I'm in the US), proceeds to sit there for 2 or 3 minutes before racing around to sit on the bumper of the next car (which is going faster than I am) in the passing lane for several more minutes before finally using their brain and going around on the right.

 

That, or sometimes you will have a curvy two lane road through a wooded area, with double yellow lines down the middle, the speed limit is 45, I'm already going about 50 or 55 but the idiot behind me wants to do 75 or 80 (no joke, out of curiosity I let one of them push me up to that speed on the road I'm thinking of), which is against the law, and instead of breaking another law (passing on double yellow lines) to continue breaking the speed limit law they choose to sit within a few inches of my bumper. I can only hope that people like that end up wrapped around a tree at some point or something as a consequence of their crappy driving, because they have absolutely no business being on the road endangering others.

Retards like that are quite fun when I'm driving around in my Ramcharger. When I hit the brakes, most cars slip right under the rear axle with their hood. Looks hilarious.

The more I mod, the more I learn and the more I discover that I need to learn even more shit.... And is all self taught... It is easy at the beginning then it gets progressively harder and harder as you want to make better mods... Ugh....

One of the quickest ways to get a pay raise.

 

There's an old saying in the mechanics/auto repair field, "That's why tool boxes have wheels.".

 

Hope the new job is a more enjoyable work experience than the old one.

Yeah things are like that here in the states as well.

 

Other than getting take out pizza (got to love coupons), I don't really eat out or get take home food.

 

Thankfully there are still a lot of fairly cheap, nourishing meals that can be fixed at home.

 

Do miss take out Chinese food though.

 

Yeah, I couldn't help it. I was craving Pho, don't even care about the delivery price. This girl needed some noodles lol.

Ugh, don't remind me that the last good Pad Thai place went out of business around COVID time.    Chinese and Japanese chefs (in my area) just  can't make it right.  

 

That was advantage of living on the coast, the number of good Thai places, but I like having a decent size house, yard and a short commute just barely more than good Pad Thai.

I'm not sure I'm following. If I'm hearing you correctly instead of charging money people are charging money? What is the difference?

 

Is this a Creation Club thing? Did somebody forget to pay middleman Bethesda? Should I get popcorn for this?
