Thank you and  you are right about knowledge hungry certainly, the other two.......many would question that based on my GPA in high school and college as I lived by the saying "D stands for Diploma!"

I am top ended (at the top of my pay scale) and only management is higher.  My habit of publicly criticizing senior leadership with zero discretion makes that highly unlikely.   I was once told that "I wasn't a loser, just not their (management) kind of winner".....not sure if I was insulted or complimented.

I think she's asking on how to find the difference between lie as in laying down and lie as in lying.

Both answers- especially on rainy afternoons. ;)

English is pretty much a fubar language that sometimes makes no sense. Out of all the interesting dialects that have been lost over the centuries, it's amazing it survived.

Unfortunately context of the sentence is about the only way to tell. The 'two' words are spelled and pronounced identical. English has quite a few annoying double usage words like that.

My New Years went decently, if not a little quiet. The flu currently making its rounds here, so not a good time for partying. Most of the people I know had to deal with it over the course of the last week. It got me on Friday, but that played out like it always does when the flu tries to infect me.

Thanks. But don't worry about it. Aside from some trivial congestion that sickness only lasted about two hours. I butcher the flu.

Its a bit of a cannibal language too, which just causes more issues. We absorb words from other languages but then do not adjust the spelling to match English pronunciation rules. A bit of a tragedy that it has become the dominate language, albeit there are even more convoluted languages out there.

You can "Lie" and "Bait" someone into a trap, but you cannot "Lie" about "Bait" used for fishing, I don't "Mean" to be "Mean"  :) Apologies Miss Eva I couldn't help myself!

I don't wish to offend you, the word you were looking for is "Spelled" not "Spelt" No Offense intended.

No offense taken. My writing skills are not the best. I'm more of a math minded person.

Homonyms-Words with multiple meanings.

You can "Lie" to your spouse about going to "Lie Down" but you cannot "Lie" about Lying down, I'm not "Lying" (telling a Lie).

A "Crane" (Bird) can fly over a "Crane" lifting heavy loads.

He "Rose" quickly to give her the "Rose" he got for her.

English is my only language, raised here in the US, but it still has weird quirks to it for sure.

Not an option if you are trying to program a mod :P

It's also a lot of creating cause and effect formulas so a calculator won't carry you.

Cool. Working on anything now? Got any plans for Starfield?

if you don't have any financial worries as a result - I would take it as a compliment even if it was intended as an insult

I've added a few things to Submissive Lola and turned them over to Hexbolt8. Everything I've added at the moment was added to the last release.

If I do start something major its probably going to be an overhaul mod for Hexen I've been wanting to do for a while. Once I get bored with my current run of Skyrim.

Starfield has caught my interest, but I'll probably wait a few months after release before buying it. Just to see how the modding community develops and how moddable the game turns out to be. I'd like to do a massive overhaul project on it. Give it a bunch of Sci-Fi fantasy tweaks, since the heavily grounded style the vanilla version seems be aiming for doesn't really appeal to me. But if I could bash it into closer to the type of game I wanted like I've done with Skyrim I'd be interested.

Agree. What I've seen so far doesn't give off that fantasy/futuristic vibe like ME used to. Will keep an eye on what you might do with it. Sounds sweet.

Its a very ambitious plan so I can't make any promises. Don't even know if Starfield will be moddable enough to do enough of the stuff I'd like to do with it to be viable yet. So we'll just have to see. My fingers are crossed but I'm not holding my breath.

If all does go well I'd like to make it a long term project. Make it a community project with people that hold a similar vision. Swap leadership around from time to time.

Also consider it's easiest through speech as there is tones and demeanors to the way people say things, like when asking a question, if I'd ask "Are you fine?", the voice would rise at least lightly towards the end to signify a less concrete knowledge on whatever is asked about, to show one's vague awareness, uncertainty, on the asked subject, similar oddities apply throughout the language in more ways than simply questions.

Plus "Are you fine?" would sound direct as opposed to if I'd ask "Are you fine...?" as the added "..." would signify hesitation or some such hence lengthening the spoken form.

I always thought that when people say they count sheep to try and sleep that it was just an expression and that they were just counting in their mind. And then someone told me aphantasia is a thing and my mind was blown. 10/10 life changer right there.

It came to pass: I started my blog and with it, the first entry. I think I will also push on to write that sex fanfic, as I said I would. I don't know what will come first, though: another entry or the fanfic.

It was interesting to write it. I felt calm and reflective in some parts, excited and hesitant in others. I don't know how far I will go, as I am unexperienced, but I am trying to share as much as I comfortably can while being cautiously respectful with everybody.

I am specially thrilled to start the fanfic. Not only because it is more exciting, but because I may also give something back to this awesome community of modders and sex connaisseurs. :)
