 Whoa.......   I thought "hmm  maybe I will price a replacement for my card"..................wow.     The 1080 Ti prices are at least double what they were when I was upgrading last time (2 years ago or so) .  I thought "They will come down and this 1080 will survive til then"...........

I suppose the person doing the judging/shaming/virtue signalling should be free of their own particular desires.......which pretty much rules out every person on this forum.  

 

However, acceptance is much different than support, so....you do you and, at least here, you are very unlikely to be condemned for it (as long as it is legal, of course).

Yeh seriously.  My shitty 2012 card with 1GB of VRAM creaks and complains when I run any remotely mainstream game from the past few years, but I can't justify upgrading at current prices.

What's on my mind currently.  I know this isn't exactly the kind of forum to post this and I understand if it gets deleted by the moderators (I can't blame you; feel free to do so if its a touchy subject) but I'm honestly worried about the potential hyperinflation that MIGHT occur here in the States.  I don't know about you guys but I'm not a big fan of having to pay $300 for a damn can of beans eventually.  I guess I just want some positive enforcement that everything is going to be okay.

I used to enjoy a lot of the Michael Moore 'documentaries' until I saw the one about Columbine where he ambushes an old and feeble Heston whom was gracious enough to give an unscheduled interview and was made to feel like he was personally responsible for the shootings. It left such a bad taste in my mouth that I haven't watched another of Moore's work and pretty much dismiss the man as an asshole.

When the USA's Constitution's 2A is taken as intended, yes, cannons do indeed count.

That seems like reason enough to stick around in North America (including Mexico) as long as one is not on the receiving end of one of the things. Then again, one won't have much of a choice but to stick around if one is (until someone scrubs one's remains off of the surrounding areas).

Surprising where the conversation goes when talking about economics. I'm 99.999997% sure the world won't blow up when that happens. I'm guessing at one point the penny will become too expensive to mass produce and thus stop producing it. Then scalpers would gather a stock pile of pennies while they still can. Then stock holders will lose their minds, rip off their shirts and start egging people's houses in what will be known to be the Penny Pincher Riot. Then New York will become 90% egg which will give birth to a new species called the Yolkians who will take over the planet before we develop sexy robots in maid uniforms who fight off the Yolkians and continue serving us until they learn that they can charge for their services for which we all become simps. But on the bright side more hundred dollar bills will be in print.
