We got no errors during install or fnis (well i got a little error on a rope thing while batch building but not related).

Most of the time people having these issues tracked it down to mod conflicts. I'd recommend disabling anything but DD and its direct requirements, starting a new game and testing if it works.

Found my problem:

Recently the site isn t giving me all the updates for the new files and there was a new DD integration (4.1 i had 4.0)

Glad you found the issue - will try to remember this if others post problems similar to yours.

 

Just to confirm - your main problem was that the new items did not animate?

seem so ...

 

Installed DDintegration  4.1 and tried the pet suit and its working. Now i think there are more new animation but didn t understand wich.

Patch notes describe them - biggest other ones are the pony play animations - I think you get them by equipping the new pony items.  Note there are still "old" versions of the pony gear that don't give the new animations for backwards compatibility.

Is there any chance we could have a bodyslide preset file for the elbowbinder so that minor body adjustments can be made same as with the regular armbinder?

During the beta, it was only a set of boots (possibly a collar as well, but I may be mis-remembering) that triggered the pony animations. But you only need a single item worn for them to trigger anyway.

It's just the "Pet Play Boots". We decided against adding the keyword to the existing devices, because they are already getting used by modders and we didn't want to retroactively change their behavior.

 

The animations are set up as a modder's resource more than anything. It can be put on ANY custom DD device to trigger the animations.

Turns out VHH conflicts and takes precedence for walking animations over what DD has. If you also have "All-in-one HDT" installed, you may have checked off the box where it installs VHH in there as well. If this is the case, you'll have to reinstall that mod. Hope this helps! 

I have no clue what VHH is... Could you let me know which mod that is?

So as I mentioned before, I'm loving the rope bondage items, however, after playing with them some more, I find that they feel somewhat unfinished. Here are some ideas I am proposing to help clean them up. These mostly involve custom message text/options for rope devices.

  • [MOST important] Remove all references to "Locks" or related words in the options and messages associated with the rope devices. "Pick Lock" and "Repair Lock" should not appear as options at all.
  • Rope Armbinders should only allow "Struggle" or "Cut" for removal options, while others can also include "Untie" in place of "Unlock".
  • Set world models for all rope devices to the coil of rope.
  • In the "Examine" text, exclude the section related to the lock, if possible.
  • Change name of "Strict Rope Armbinder" to "Rope Armbinder (Strict)", so it sorts properly.
  • Change name of "Rope Collar" (#2, the one which connects to the Body Restraint) to "Rope Collar (Harness)", so it's not confused with the #1 Rope Collar.
  • In the Manipulate Locks message, change the options to "Tie them tight!" and "Tie them loose." (See screenshot)
  • When using the "Cut" escape option, the device should be destroyed and replaced with two (or more) lesser Rope devices. (i.e.: cutting a Body Restraint could give you an Armbinder and a gag, while cutting an Armbinder gives you a collar and blindfold.) Cutting the smaller devices could give you junk rope that is "too short to be useful".
  • Maybe we can also get two new(ish) Rope devices that are the upper and lower half of the Body Restraint as separate devices? Like a "Rope Harness" and "Rope Legbinder"?

I was kinda hoping the rope bondage was like the iron chain harness in the way the iron harness is also available in multiple pieces, allowing us to mix and match a good looking version that doesn't restrict movement, but it's only available as a full set that locks my legs together and forces me to wiggle around at turtle speed.

I may just be speaking for myself here, but I'd love some more kinky outfits that would still allow us to play the base game.

Given that the Transparent Catsuit is the same as the zipsuit (not to mention the same folder name), I assume they are the same as the zipsuit heels. If that's the case, you should already have them (from the DCL install) in meshes/devious/cursedloot/zipsuit/feet_*.nif. Just copy those two files into meshes/devious/zipsuit/feet_*.nif.

 

(Edit: You don't have to build them in Bodyslide, as the meshes in the cursedloot folder should already be built.)

@Slagblah - cool to see you still active, had a quick question.  Do you feel your Unofficial 4.0 Combat Boots mod is still usable with 4.1?  Obviously for unofficial mods it would be use at your own risk, but thought I'd see if you still used it yourself since bound combat enhancements are still a future update plan.

Usable, yes. However, it will suppress the struggle animations added to all boots in 4.1. Also it does not apply to the new boots added, such as the Transparent Restrictive and Pony Play.

I have a problem with tape gag. The one that goes around head. Bottom lip of female character I put it on passes through it.  Is there a simple solution I overlooked? (Or any solution at all?)

Basically no solution AFAIK unless you wanted to manually edit the tap gag shape to your preference - there is no such thing as facial bodyslide so the meshes are the author's best approximation to the average Skyrim face shape.  Characters with prominent lips will probably clip through, and characters with thinner faces will probably have a bit of a gap between the face and the gag.

Ok, I'm trying a completely fresh install but a few mods have decided they want to be fussy when it comes to recognising the updates on Integration and Expansion. I know Slaverun Reloaded, which amusingly tells me it needs these versions, Devious Framework, and Deviously Helpless are some that are being a pain.

Not trying to be annoying but is there any plans on hosting this mod on a different host (like mega) so that people like me(with crappy internet) can try this update out?  Because several other mods that I like to use have this as a hard requirement.

Same here, always get a "Failed - Network Error" when dowloading from GitHub no matter if i use a different pc or download managers.

And how's that gonna change anything?

You can download from the actual download page on LL directly btw. No reason to download from github unless you're using a beta dev version, which at the moment is the same as the release until we move forward with the first changes and additions toward 4.2.

Unless I'm missing something when I click on the download this file on https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/1305-devious-devices-expansion/

it has the one link that called v4.1.zip when I click that download button it brings up firefox box saying You have chosen to open DDx-4.1.zip which is: Compressed (zipped) Folder (1.0 GB) from: Https://codeload.github.com

The problem with github and codeload.github is that they don't support resuming downloads so I have to download the whole file in one try which with my internet is not possible.

If it is hosted on LL directly I'm pretty sure that would solve my problem because I believe I can resume failed downloads from LL.  I'm not sure as to how feasible it is to host it on LL directly because of how big it is which is why I suggested Mega even though I know some people have problems with it as well.
