I think this new version is bugged. I can't use fast travel anymore. I thought it was because of that chloe quest but if i skip past her I still get locked down from using fast travel. Why is this happening?

Because her quest starts the moment you hear her, not when you talk to her. If you hear Chloe, you've lost fast travel until you finish her quest. It's not a terribly long or hard quest, and as a reward you get one of the most hilarious and overpowered weapons ever created, at least for a starting character, so it's definitely worth it.

You need to run bodyslide and have the output files overwrite any existing files. There are tutorials all over the place which can help you set it up and run it properly. Just do a search and you should find a ton of them.

Assuming you did Live Another Life start, you don't ever need to go into Helgen keep/cave to complete the main quest. It gives you an option to go straight to Riverwood after you open the letter in burnt corpse. Talk to blacksmith who sends you to Whiterun.

Hi I'm just wondering how do I equip my follower with those restraints? My follower doesn't seems to equip them when I put them in their inventory since restraints have really low stats most times.

I didnt use live another life. What's important is the mod won't let me fast travel anymore.

I dont know how to search for this so i am asking directly. Can Cursed loot use other items than the ones from Devious Devices? eg. i have Devious devices euquipped installed but i would like cursed loot to be able to equip the items from DDE or other mods. if there is such a mod that has this or similar funktions pls tell me.

No, it cannot. DCL's drop lists are hard-coded.

 

DCL and DD Equip are (indirectly) incompatible anyway, because DCL requires DD4.x, while DD Equip's author refused to update that mod to DD4.x for over a year now. Unless this changes (and I don't think it will), I wouldn't recommend using these mods in the same load order.

As recently as the last page of the DDe forum, this issue comes up.

The problem with the DDe items is (ironically) not to do with the Zaz keywords, but that the DD "heavy bondage" keywords changed, and Inte won't update them.

DD cannot continue to depend on Zaz. That is a no brainer.

Even if Kimy had all the will in the world to work with anyone else, it would still not make sense for DD to depend on Zaz.

 

It's much better that they are separate. They can still co-exist. It's not a problem.

 

If you have a mod that depends on Zaz keywords, then Zaz is a dependency for your mod; it's not rocket science.

 

 

Given that DDe is 100% dependent on DD, you'd think it would be updated for 4 by now. The only people this hurts is DDe users. I don't get it.

It's Inte. It doesn't need to make sense to anyone else, really. And it probably won't.

 

But, yeah, I guess I can confirm that the reasons for Inte not updating their mods are to no small degree personal. I really wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Inte to update DD Equip. And I do agree that not updating POP and DD Equip is hurting nobody but fans of these mods. Why Inte apparently thinks I would care is beyond me. I couldn't care less about DD Equip. Honestly, I never really understood the point of that mod. Its a glorified outfit manager for restraints without any actual BDSM content, plus a bunch of DD re-textures, I consider to be an acquired taste, to put it politely. And while I did use POP in the past, I have removed it long ago, because Inte's idea of inter-mod compatibility is that it's everybody else's problem, and that's unfortunately not how that works.

Probably the main motivation is to have PoP do more DD things. There are, I believe, some special device scripts in it, that make plugs do things specifically when you shout, that you can configure. It has some asset content in the form of textures.

 

More broadly, there's nothing wrong with an outfit manager for restraints, so a glorified one sounds fine to me.

 

However, the teaser on the front page always seemed to be hinting that it would become something more like DH, or DF, which it hasn't. I suspect that PoP development ended up overshadowing that ambition.

 

It seems a thing on LL, that several modders are ... very prickly ... in general, and some very specifically when it comes to their mod or code. Everyone has their hot-buttons of course, but it sometimes feels like LL is populated by the monsters from Corruption of Champions :) Any interaction is potentially hazardous, and can easily leave you filled with something quite unpleasant that you'll be struggling to get rid of for months.

 

 

And when there are genuine issues to disagree over, it's worse.

 

 

The zaz keyword issue, and the heavy bondage change ... the former was pretty much an inevitability of T.ara making Zaz 8.

Zaz 8 is simply too big for any mod to have as a dependency without really good reasons, especially anything with as many animations in it as DD.

DD doesn't use any furniture assets from Zaz 8, or any code, so it makes zero sense for it to depend on it.

 

However, there is nothing stopping people who dearly want those Zaz keywords present on DD items - which arguably was a mistake anyway, as they do not function in the same way - from making a patch for DD that fixes every item to have the keywords.

 

Or rather, the thing stopping them is that they don't want to put in the time to make and maintain that.

 

 

On the other hand, the heavy bondage keyword ... maybe there was a way to do that which was more backwards compatible ... though the bigger issue isn't the keyword at all, it's the change in DD that made it harder for other mods to casually remove or replace worn items; and that comes down to some pretty deep differences in opinion in whether any mod should require others to work around it in this way, and whether the way DD items are 'kept' locked on is appropriate, or necessary.

 

Players and content creators voted on this (unconsciously perhaps) and the result is DD won, and the bondage item functionality in Zaz now sees little use outside a few legacy mods, and endless screenshots in the Zaz 8 forum. Personally, I prefer the original Zaz model, but there's no point swimming against the tide. Plus PaH and its family. Let us not forget PaH! Zaz is a better choice than DD for PaH for multiple reasons.

 

DD problems with slot contention weren't something new. It was a problem wired into DD from its conception. Kimy simply acted to make it so serious bugs and player confusion would be less common in future. While this created some issues with how some mods interacted with DD, those mods were typically already interacting in a way that was incompatible with every other mod using DD, as if they were the only DD mod in the install. Little has changed here, it's a basic problem with DD quests that if a quest item is locked in a slot, other quests can't use that slot, and possibly other slots too. Several DCL collars ultimately take over most of the slots on the PC, meanwhile SD+ insists on collaring the player.  CD insists on fitting a chastity belt that no other mod should remove. Having to change calls that remove yokes or armbinders seems a minor issue in comparison to these basic conflicts.

 

 

As for Inte's take on it, that is confusing, because his own implementation of items is even stricter than DD 3.X was, with inventory locking, and interaction blocking, so you can't even container cheat. That hardly puts him in the Zaz camp, unless that is where Zaz is headed ... which itself makes no sense because that's not the model for Zaz right now. Zaz has more to do with PaH right now than anything else - a completely different set of problems to those solved by DD.

 

That the debate has devolved into saying that the other side is simply being intransigent, without making any concrete proposals or offers, or being prepared to negotiate alternative ways to get what they want, represents an impasse. Clearly, there is a belief on both sides that others have behaved in bad faith, and yet looking in, from the outside, it seems that nobody has really done that. They just did what they wanted to do in their mods, and they're entitled to do that.

 

But, if you make a mod that many others depend on, you take on a community obligation to minimize harm to other mods. I can see how some think DD didn't do that, even when the changes that were made to DD were clearly made with the intent of ultimately improving cross-mod compatibility issues.

 

 

Sure, the DD development "team" is insular, unresponsive, and largely indifferent to anything anyone else says. There's no way to report bugs (that works) or at least, it's hard to find any documentation telling you how you're supposed to do it. If they have a bug tracker, please, let me know where it is. Sure, nobody expects them to bend over backwards, or waste all their time on trivia, but the DD forums feel more like deserted sets for an old western movie than functioning communities. However, I wouldn't ascribe any of this to malice or obstinacy, but simply a lack of time and focus.

 

 

It's been a while since DD 4 arrived, and there's been ample opportunity for other mods to be updated to work properly with it. I should think by this point it's pretty clear that the old behaviours are not coming back, there isn't going to be a DD-3.X-Redux, and DD will not be restoring a dependency on Zaz <version whatever>. Refusing to accept that, when you make a DD mod isn't helping anyone, least of all the players who want to use your mod.

A small question. I have been in Whiterun naked for a while with a slave collar and yet nobody raped me in like 12 in game hours. I have no chastity belt, I have rape enabled with minimal arousal of 0 and all requirement except for night active (and need to fullfill only 1 requirement to be eligible for rape) and was raped a lot before.

Am I just unlucky? Is something actually broken? Or is it scripted that I wont be raped since it progresses me toward being free of thr collar?

I would give a 75% chance that somehow a dhlp-Resume event was missed somehow, or not issued, and DCL thinks you are still in a scene.

 

I'm not sure what Debug options in DCL will reset this, but trying FREE ME!!! a couple of times (not just once) might well cure it.

 

I think SL Adventures will let you simply issue a dhlp-Resume event from its debug menu, which cures many ills.

I believe that option is in the DDi menu. Or just the DD menu, but it's not a DCL option.

I've already disabled through the DDi menu. It still pops up during normal events.

The DD option doesn't stop the mittens from being used in DCL. Only DCL could do that, and it doesn't have a specific option for it.

 

The DD option for "non hardcore" makes the mittens be not much different from regular DD gloves.

 

  • If you have "non hardcore" mittens, you can pick things up quite reliably.
  • If you have hardcore mittens, almost every time you go to pick something up, you drop it again.

 

 

I always thought this wanted closer integration with the fumbly fingers option in DCL that causes you to drop keys so they vanish forever.

 

e.g.

Hardcore mittens implies fumbly fingers 90% unless you already have it set higher.

 

 

Which reminds me, that fumbly fingers doesn't check the chance per-key, but can cause you to magically lose an entire stack of keys in an instant.

 

I think if you have < 10 keys, it should check each one, and then after that, you lose keys based on percentage of keys over 10. If your drop percent is 70, and you have 20 keys, you should get individual random rolls for the first 10 keys in the stack, then 0.7 of the remainder (which in this case would be 7).

 

If you use consume keys, which is the default, you can burn through a stack of 30 keys in no-time, and with "key holder" mechanics, you can end up getting "keys in bulk" at the end of the key holding period. So large key stacks aren't outrageous, and perhaps deserve better handling than they have, what with keys being ... important ... and all.

I have an issue with DCL that my game crashes when entering a city mora likely if i have an DD item equipped , sometime I can force entering a city fast traveling anywhere else before but its not warranty for it to work, and sometimes if I manage to get into a city the moment I open the inventory or press the esc key it crashes. Sorry for my english , also it's my first time posting so I don't know what the protocol is when adressing an issue. thanks.

I guess all the usual Skyrim stability tips from the internet helps for that. S.T.E.P. guide, config your HDT to use more cpu cores, 2 works pretty well for me. The beforementioned guide also goes through how to let Skyrim handle your script load better, and these mods have LOTS of scripts. Also the less NPCs in your game the stabler it is.

Why does every character now say "I need a strong hand to guide me" in their dialogue? I accidentally selected it once and totally eff'd up a quest I was doing made after a save game. I remember a bug in DCL 6.2, but now it appears agian?

Yeah, for some reason when I removed SUB and DOM dialogue options, it did not refresh dialogues tree's, so I just removed begging then exited MCM, that fixed it. My PC wouldn't beg anyway :P

Hello there! I have run in a bit of a problem. Not a bug, though :D

 

I got the cursed slave collar and, at the same time, some high security shock boots. So obviously... wait, I'll wrap that in an spoiler tag.

When I found the chest with the cursed boots, I obviously cannot lock them on. So I'm stuck in this quest.

 

Is there any way I can remove the "normal" shock boots through ? Where can I find the item reference numbers for this mod to force them off? I'm asking because I've been wearing them for two hours now with no luck finding a key ha, ha, ha :D
