I found this near the bottom of the comments. Regardless who did it, seems like it could be pretty bad. or he got it from somewhere else and is just as.. gifted as the rest of the general population.

Is there supposed to be some kind of java script file trying to d/l when you change pages? My computer keeps blocking a JS d/l that keeps trying to embed from this site. Looks like a serious Trojan according to 2 separate A/V programs I have running. Next time it pops up I will post the full file name and the site it keeps trying to redirect me to.

 

Glad I run a multi-layered firewall and proxy setup. 

 

Edit- Yeah, something weird going on. IE keeps blocking off-site scripting and my proxy detected over 100 intrusion attempts from a java based trogan. I thought it was just adware, but not according to Avast, Defender and MalwareBytes. MalwareB says it is an undefined/new Trojan, so I sent Ben a message.

 

Be careful people, it is popping up like a manual d/l. Never had this happen here, and I about live on Nexus.

 

 

This is the exact reason why they invented No-script and addblock. This type of maleware has happened before on nexus and look it happens again.

I will never turn off my virus scanner. i would just download stuff manually.

 

No matter what they say, no-script and addblock will always run on ymy pc when visiting nexus.

Has anyone looked at the wall of shame today? It's a little odd. I am seeing a hell of a lot more "Formal Warnings..." issued than I have ever seen before. And a lot of them for things that in the past would have been an instant ban: Upload of copyrighted material. Mods containing assets without author permission. Usually these two would receive the smash of the banhammer. But only a warning? Must be a new moderator that has not had the sunshine beaten out of him yet (somebody named Moto5xorpio).

Did you happen to notice if the mods associated with those reprimanded members have a high "page view count" ?

Certainly there must be some reason for this sudden intolerable tolerance !

They pulled the mods, but only gave warnings on the 2-3 examples I saw with those issues.  However there are other normally banhammerable (my new word...) offenses that I noticed that only got warnings:  mod bashing, chat trolling, homophobic slurs, posting nude image in the chat, banned site in the description (mod pulled so I couldn't see if it might be LL ;) ), etc.  And not just the new guy I listed, I see micalov and even TVD giving warnings rather than swinging the banhammer.  New directive from the Dark Overlord???

Didn't think it would be there long. The uploader had another picture that was uploaded at the same time that one has been removed either by the author or the mods. The outfit was a ported armor and the author of the ported armor posted a link to the outfits in the comments. You can still see what the outfit looked like by going to their profile page. http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/users/2755298/?

If I'm honest I can't say I have much sympathy for dumbasses who go showing off or uploading copyright assets over there.  Think it's a desparate need to be praised by a big audience more than anything.

I only download on the Nexus. I been a member since 2006. Posting pictures or comments just puts you in the pool for being banned. It's like calling the police, I will only call the police if someone is murdered or a child is kidnapped. The police shoot retarded people, they shoot deaf people who use sign language, they shoot those needing medical attention. Your kids drowning in the ocean during a storm? Cops will kill you to prevent you from risking your life to save someone. Your kid is suicidal? Cops kill him so he can't hurt himself.

That bit from Zaldir (or whatever..who cares at this point?) is just funny.  HE is not funny, 27 violations of sacred Nexus law and zero warnings and no ban is what's funny...and that some dork twink boy gets to act like he's mall cop and be in charge (Zaldir or whatever-the-fuck-his-name-is).  He's a worm, just like his no-closet-can-hold-me idol, Dark0ne.  I wish their mommys and daddys had just kept at Dungeons and Dragon and not swam up stream to nerd-spawn the 20 something year-old losers they infected the planet with.  Just look at that spaz and then do a side by side with Dark0ne.  If anything screams in a Madri Gras mask 'poop-packing-blow-fish' it is those two.  Seriously, get a man's hair cut and have a fist fight or two (and not with your little sister).

While some manage to stay cool and friendly towards the community, while they growing, others don't.

As soon as money comes into the picture, even the saddest of panda's turns into an rotten asshole in no time.

 

I'm not the kind of person who find pleasure in torturing others humans, not even promote violence in general, but I'm proud to say I would feel no remorse whats so ever, in raping the Nexus-staff to death with an baseball bat. In makes me furious, to see them treating others like shit.

 

One part of me wishes that one day, nexus gets hacked and utterly destroyed. Sadly, thousands would be affected, and that is something I do not wish upon them. But just something big, that would be like stab in the back to the asshole staff.

 

D0rky is one of the most pathetic excuses for an human being and a sad coward.

Sadly... This is true.. Although, all of my future releases will be LL exclusive for at least awhile. Maybe certain parts only on LL. For the record, none yet, but breaking ground on one tonight :)

Easy enough to fix.  Don't upload there.  The idea of having all of the eggs in one basket is flawed anyway.  Look at what happened to me.  Dante deleted all of my files (even though they were all kosher) and now that work is simply GONE.  All of the mods dependent on mine are useless now.  IF I had spread the wealth Dante wouldn't have been able to sabotage the 'community' he lords over.  In the words of William S. Burroughs, 'Never trust a junkie.'  And Dante and the rest of the Nexus boobs are all high on their own shit.

That second one posted is sad. It's hard to tell if people are telling the truth or not, but I can see this happening. This person is at least sincere and it's really hard to see that in most people. Some times you have to just pass all that bullshit and understand, But he spilled his honesty in the wrong place.

 

If Nexus governed our world and this little kid stole a loaf of bread from the store because his family is so poor they can't afford food, this kid would of been sentenced to deathrow.

You gonna convince them not to upload there? They get ""famous"" there, with 'endorsements', 'votes', and "'donations'". Here, we do great things for fun. We release 80 hour projects, just to put a smile on the faces of strangers...who love Bethesda games, and their awesome mods.

 

We also have many geniuses here, and I can say fuck the world, and not get banned, because LL is just that great. B) 

 

Anyway, people see the flashing lights and upload their mods there, only to find themselves banned for a perfectly reasonable uploaded image of the mod they made for the "Nexus community".
