Contessa Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 The site itself isn't bad if you want to find some nice mods, but truly interesting new mods are becoming few and far between in my eyes. It seems to be turning into ENBNexus nowadays because honestly that's what I see the most. My personal experience with ENB's has been a frustrating one and with little reward for the nonsense involved in using them. I just use The IMAGINATOR and can easily alter my lighting/image settings in-game on the fly and it's just a simple ESP.

Dark0ne IP blocked the whole country and when innocent people appealed to him directly in the open forum he ignored them. Oh yeah, later he denied it, and when shown proof he laughed about it and THEN hid the posts calling him out as a liar and a douche.

I remember it as him admitting he did it though at one point, but he just didn't seem to care that it was a monumental dick move.
ToxicKetchup Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 What I really have a huge issue with is when the nexus admins ban a popular mod author, but keep hosting their work, and deliberately bar them from removing that work from the site so that they can continue to make ad money off of the popularity of said work. That's really low.

ENBs, don't get me wrong, is best used when you have the right hardware for it, and I mean high-end. It's almost never made for toasters and laptops, but rather for those who want near-photographic quality effects and enhanced lighting. Including DOF. Especially DOF. If your PC is lot less, there's SweetFX and the preset It's Not ENB, which gives you ENB-like effects without the performance penalty associated with ENB. ENB presets are very popular there because it's the best way, if not the expensive method, to get stunning visuals for any type of PC.

As I said, I don't want to defend Nexus at all. I'm also no Nexus puppet or even mod as some of you suspected. I'm just a good mannered human being who likes good company, nice people and Skyrim mods. And as such I can't believe that there are threads like this here in LL and noone cares about it. I'm afraid that people who get really that nasty about such irrelevant things as how another website is run, and are met with so much agreement and cheering in return, will never learn how to treat other human beings properly. I'm afraid that some of these people might end up having some real influence on this world. For me, you're all little Putins. If you should happen to get some real power by some unfathomable coincidence, it would be a disaster for all people affected. It might very well be that Vampire Dante is actually no different than you hate people here in this thread. But that doesn't make any difference at all. Just because someone is an asshole, I don't become an asshole myself, just to make up for it. But you seem to excel in that area. You know what, I really liked LL for what's it's offering and I even started to contribute some very small things myself. But I'll stop doing that. I don't want to be part of such a hateful community. It's just not my way. So congratulations, you did it. I'm leaving. I know that noone will miss me and most of the writers in this thread will be more than happy that there is one guy less who might disturb them in their hate rally. Have fun with your hate.

So many people complain about things while being oblivious about their own shortcomings, often in the same matter they're compaining about. I'm sure the same thing can be said for me as well. I just TRY my best not to fall into that trap - and I still know that it's futile. I'm just sad that I cannot look into the future to see if the human race manages to come around and become reasonable eventually. I doubt it very much, so I'm afraid I don't see a good outcome for our race. But maybe I'm mistaken, who knows...

Here in LL no one will delete your account or ban you for your tomfoolery, unless you decide to go completely overboard. That's exactly the point of this thread. See you around.
