Hmm. Yea I tried smash once. Noticed some things weren't working right and reverted back to a regular merged patch. Be interesting to know if @valcon767 uses a smash patch.

tbh this is the first time i went through tes5edit with it, i have been operating on blind faith its done everything correctly x_x i might have to use tes5edit merged patch instead ill have to check that to see if it has issues as well. if its any consolation i dont know if the mator patch was the issue but i can buy breezehome now.

i use a TES5Edit merge patch.

actually i use 2 = 1 for putting bikini keywords on some armors (mainly due to a massive armor merge i use), and 1 for all the normal stuff

you need a merge patch for.  when i upgraded to 6.15 beta i rebuilt it from scratch to make sure it was done right.

Why so worried, it is easily fixed if it is

Just go into xEdit open the Mator Smash smash file and find the conflict and manually make the needed adjustments.

I have to do that with Wrye Bash a lot

I use Wrye Bash. Just checked with Tes5edit, but the housepurchase quest doesn't even show in Wrye Bash.

But there is no surprise, because I have no other mod that changes anything on housepurchase.

Main conflicts of SLS about any housepurchase related Tes5edit entries are from USLEEP. Maybe SLS needs an USLEEP patch?

"Why so worried, it is easily fixed if it is "

It's more show ^^

My guts feeling told me already that it's unlikely

Just updated SLS now, but the issue remains.

I could just for the fun of it change SLS parameters to not conflict with USLEEP

EDIT: oha, not sure if that can have an effect, but I just bought an custom home and have to visit it to finish it's quest ?

Need to check that!

EDIT2:

> tested finishing any player home related quests => no effect

I feel like I'm out of the loop. What even is Mator Smash?

It is like Wrye Bash on steroids, it makes a patch that includes a lot more types of records than WB does.

The jury has not rendered a definitive verdict on if what it does makes things better or worse.

Basically what it does is merges leveled lists, kinda like bash patch(wryebash) and tes5mergedpatch(TES5EDIT) but it merges much more records...

image.png.0dfdc94546e122b46768de42c9108563.png

The main issue with the patch that i see is it doesn't always merge 100% accurately especially when it comes to leveled items i noticed, what this means is when a patch is created with this tool or any automated tool you should really go through and fix the records that are mismatches or misplaced.

The bugged Breezhome purchase is unique, never saw that one before.

The key/gold transfer doesn't work anymore.

What I checked

> visit Proventus at another day time

> buying the License first before asking

> have enough gold with me

> change relationshiprank 14 to friend and higher

> finish all other house related quests that where active at that time

> checked wrye bash for entries, but there are non for house buying

> only mods in my LO effecting housePurchase are Skyrim, HF, USLEEP, SLS. There seem to be conflicts between USLEEP and SLS but my blind pocking and changing SLS TES5 entries didn't change anything (at least I didn't broke more ... I guess ?)

Next would be trying to finish the buy quest via console. If I see it correct the main change is the prevention to buy the home at all without license and a reminder commentar during the dialogue scene. Nothing can go wrong right? ?

Ah, only really familiar with Wyre Bash. I normally stick to Fallout modding, with the exception being LL so I guess this is why I never heard of it... But now I'm gonna dig a little deeper on the matter ;)

Ok so here is 0.619 of the mod including the vanilla house buy fragments re-compiled but unaltered. Hopefully this fixes this CK horse shit.

<snip>

Please report back.

For the record the fragments are:

TIF__000A7B1E

TIF__000A7B2A

TIF__000A7B23

TIF__000A7B28

TIF__000A851F

Also. I think I'm going to add options to set house prices lower than vanilla. Let the property licence handle milking the player. Encourages the player to come into the city rather than camp outside. Add in some sleeping encounters maybe too....

Please report back.

it works for the 4 houses i could test

Solitude, Markarth, Riften, and Whiterun...... could not test Windhelm as i have not started Civil War at all and it is not compatible with the 3 mods i found

that are supposed to allow it to be purchased without doing Civil War questline.

thanks a ton.

Who in the right mind would camp outside the city just because of some licenses ?

Spoiler

Was actually fun, I should do more camping ?

Works for me now.

I was able to buy Breezehome even with updating on a running game.

Some oddities remain, but that might look different on a new game.

Spoiler

Purchased Upgrades to Breezehome.

I remember that already bought entries get removed from the dialogue, but the alchemy laboratory can now be bought endlessly.

Need to check if I have multiple now. ^^

Children Bedroom is priceless now, but the dialogue should look differently anyways.  It should read something like this: "I want to exchange my laboratory with a children bedroom" after the alchemy lab was bought.

Lydia would get mad at me if I wouldn't buy the alchemy lab ?

And I also getting the missing Alchemy Laboratory

sounds like you ran into the same bug i did ...and it is not due to SLS.   it did take me several hours to track it down (most of the way).

in my game it was caused by Hearthfires.

Markarth = problem with the Alchemy upgrade

Riften = problem with the Enchanting upgrade

Solitude = problem with the Living Room upgrade

Whiterun = problem with the Alchemy upgrade, which can also be caused by Dawnguard DLC.

with all DLC not running i had no issues, but with the DLCs running those cities had the same issue with just that room each, as in buy it and it not show up

and it not cleared out of the steward's dialogue and yes it took the cash each time.  all steward's had the infinite child room issue also (which also does

not spawn).  the only one i was unable to check was Windhelm, as i have not even thought about starting the Civil War questline in this game.

as this is not a SLS issue, i have no clue how it could be fixed (other than with yet another mod).  i am just glad that i can now buy the houses again, which will

let me become Thane (and get my housecarls which with my mods happen to all be females ...lol) when i actually do the stuff needed.

UESP has the console id needed to fix Breezehome (and possibly the others).  the numbers in the spoiler are for the Alchemy section in Breezehome.

prid e4ef9 <item number for old stuff that is supposed to disappear>

disable

prid e3ec8 <item number for new stuff that is supposed to spawn>

enable

hope the information helps someone.

What would be the easiest way to add a method for getting into Whiterun / slipping past the guards? I use the sewers mod, which is one way, but was wondering if there were any mods that add other paths into Whiterun and other cities?

was hunting something else and ran across a mod called Hidden Hideouts of Skyrim Cities Edition (on nexus).

it is available for both LE and SE.  dunno if you are still looking.

I have some issues with that explanation:

First it never showed up before and I always have HF installed. If that is a usual issue with HF/USLEEP I should have seen it in any LO since the last 4 years.

For me it is an unique issue for the actual LO I'm using. If it is an normal issue I wouldn't even recognize the change.

For now I connect it to SLS because that is the mod atm that doesn't continues USLEEP related changes in my LO and is the only one that wants to change something on buying City player homes.

Alternatively it might caused by updates on a running game.

entirely possible it is due to updates in a running game.

when i was tracking it down it was painful to have to deactivate mods a few at a time to find the problem in my setup.

i use MO and tried deactivating esp (right pane) 5 at a time and until the only things i had left active were syrim and update it was still there.

so i did the same thing but deactivated the mods themselves and it still took deactivating (left pane) everything except skyrim and update to get

the problem to go away for me. shrug .. if you find what is causing it (other than hearthfires) please post.

Have ye tried

Untitled.jpg.fe56b92ee851c5a0ff5c2e5fbea09de5.jpg

Seems to work. Though the children's bed cost is empty but that just needs a quest update to fix.

I can't readily do this as it makes HF a hard dep. This puts me in a tough spot. Do I

1) Make HF a dep. Someone. Somewhere will bother me about it. Guaranteed.

2) Remove all the dialogue and just have the player evicted without much in the line of explanation making newbies even more confused and thus pestering me with even more questions.

3) ???

Edit: Theoretically a merged patch should do the same thing....

Edit2: Nope. TesEdit doesn't merge quest records it looks like unfortunately.

Edit3: Usleep also makes some changes of it's own.... messy. I knew there was a reason I didn't want to touch this.

Only thing you can do really >_> is make a patch ESP for  HF+USLEEP that's separated from Survival. But then you'll get people complaining about how they cant add extra mods to their load order lol

WAAAIT, you mean I overwrite USLEEP that way? ?

Aren't there much more entries that have to be forwarded?

Did someone say messy? ?

My Lola Mistress thinks already she is a Riften Guard with SLSbeta. What will be next ?

EDIT: Oha! Now is see where many more oddities come from, well at least I learn TES5edit now ?

SLSbeta is incompatible to USLEEP ?

Yeeeaaawww, I got the Lab for Lydia!

It could even be bought after forwarding the USLEEP changes and loading a save where Breezhome is bought already.

The Proventus dialogue looks still messed up, but the result is what counts =D

Do you mean for DFC to handle the whoring side of things too.....? ;)

I could probably facilitate blocking whore licence purchase by the player easily enough.

I'm thinking about a prostitution mod, and have been for a long time.

Let's see if I can actually do something to move DFC this weekend before I get any hopes up :)

\o/

Hopefully you'll consider using a dance system similar to what TDF has (well I mean, TDF once you overwrite it with Dance for Septims [and deactivate the Dance for Septims esp] to have 3 good dances and much better music). I really like TDF for PC prostitution (I use TDF and Radiant together right now - I actually customize TDF to be a bit more upscale escorts, and Radiant's basic whoring to be much more trashy), but could really do without all of the PC as a pimp bloat and would be happy with something much more simple.

Being able to customize outfit keywords to change how prostitution interactions play out would be cool... An NPC might approach a woman decked out in adventuring gear differently than a woman dressed in rags, or a woman in an expensive dress.

Anyway look forward to what you cook up. Something to play nice with DFC, SLS and Submissive Lola would be 10/10, those 3 mods are now the centerpieces of any good harsh world NSFW quest content imo. Radiant + TDF would be hard to beat, but even a 3rd option that plugs into or plays nice alongside those two mods would be very welcome.
