Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure it was a lot more than one function that was changed to accommodate the player only system.

That said I WOULD like to get it back in. It's just that I can see it being messy. Very messy.

Ah, that's unfortunate. I was originally trying to just ignore the actual equipped check and brute confiscating the items, but then again, most of my own code is spaghetti code...

Well, hopefully that can be eventually be reintegrated. Are there any updates to the way followers are handled in general on the horizon? I'd love to see more involved license and curse features with them, but I know that complexity can get way up there.

There needs to be a way to go 'ok I'm fucked. You've beaten me game'. And say, I don't know. Submit yourself to the sisterhood of Dibella, who take you in. Cue fade to black. Fast forward a month (I think actually fast forwarding the game a month might not be a good idea) and clear all of the above. But there needs to be some serious consequences. It should be a last resort. I was thinking maybe lowering skills but I don't know how that affects level progression so I'm not very keen on that. You should probably automatically lose your licences at the very least. Repossess your homes, your horse (not sure if those are possible). And all of your possessions and stashes are emptied.

Or perhaps all that should happen automatically. Set a 'defeat' stat threshold and once you reach that threshold your character automatically submits herself. Increase the 'defeat stat' with every device you're equipped with, how much DF debt you have, how addicted to skooma/lactacid you are etc.

Wipe the slate clean.

I think something like the defeat mechanic of the original CoC...

So, your character is "gone", lost to a "bad end".

Maybe a couple of text boxes describe your ultimate fate...

And then you get the racemenu screen.

After you're done, you discover that you've got the same level as before you died, minus <L>, and the same skill points, minus <S>, and the same perk point count, minus <P>, but none of your points are 'spent'.

Where L, S, and P are something you configure at the very start - your penalty for "losing".

You can then spend all those points to finish your character creation. You begin with normal starting gear, and that's it.

Or if you use SXP, you can just get an XP refund.

As from a code point of view it simply involves reading and setting AVs (and perks), there's nothing tricky there, but you would need an MCM (a bit like the Dev menu in SLD) to set up your skills from the points pool.

It would let you reskill in a cheating way, but that's the up-side to death. After all, if it was too hard last time, maybe you need a little advantage? :)

Doesn't seem like a feature that belongs in SLS though. More a standalone thing... Or could be done in SLD, or DF as easily and appropriately.

Oh sure. Setting AVs and perks is fine. Though it'd be a massive headache with perk overhauls like ordinator and requiem etc. Plus I don't think you can set the players level. Not via papyrus at least.

Anyway my main concern is how changing all of these things affects level progression long term. Does it lower the maximum level you can achieve. Does it increase it? Of course, with legendary skills it probably doesn't matter all that much but if you don't do legendary skills then.... I think it might affect it in some way.

I'd argue that it would have a place but I'm not exactly hell bent on it either.

If you or anyone else wants to run with it. Absolutely be my guest.

Why would a perpetual license expire? This has happened to me twice. Both times in Whiterun but since that's my base of operations, that is the city I spend the most time in. Once a guard said "Wait, I know you," and immediately after paying a 5 gold bounty all of my licenses expired. Is that normal? I thought it was, but the second time I just left the Bannered Mare, walked into town, and they expired randomly. I thought perpetual was forever.  Any help would be appreciated. They're expensive! Thanks!

Dunno. Haven't been able to afford any perpetual licence yet.

Are they being taken from you?

If not try dropping them and pick them back up again.

They disappear from inventory so I can't drop them and pick them up. I'll load an earlier save and see if I can find what's happening to them.  Thanks for the quick reply!

Great mod! I love the eviction scene the most I think.  Or the licenses, or the... :)

This might sound like a dumb question at this stage, but what's MinAv?

Minimum actor values for carry weight and speed. Too many mods debuff both of these. I've often been left with very low or even negative values for them = can't walk or run anymore.

So survival tries to maintain a minimum (50 by default).

I don't know, but the game reports in the upper left hand corner that they expired. It's after that that they go missing.

The message appears because they leave your inventory. They don't leave your inventory because of the message. It's a status update. You'll get the same message if you drop em/put them in a container.

Survival can revoke them during certain events. Getting caught evading the toll is one.

Would be great if their license is ever revoked for any reason they have to give a blowjob on the spot immediately with some of your typical excellent banter.

Thanks for the recent updates, I know you wrote a while back you were getting burnt out on ESV modding, hopefully that goes away and you get back in the mood soon, your stuff is must use content for nsfw esv!

BTW I've been trying Thief again this week.. that mod is amazing. The dialog writing reminds me a lot of your mod, one thing it adds that I think would be a great addition to your style is inner monologue formatted with ( ) around it where dialog at bottom of screen usually goes. With all the humiliation and objectification in your writing for the mod, a little inner monologue from the Dragonborn would be most welcome.

Another thing Thief does that I really like is NPC schedules, it's like an XXX version of Majora's Mask sometimes, lol. Beyond the NPC schedules there are triggers such as switch variables with other NPCs, inventory content triggers, and stuff like that which really make that mod 9+/10. A lot of the events are like hidden easter eggs that you only get if you do certain things properly. EDIT: I forgot to mention the sex minigames, some of them are excellent - the one in the Falkreath Inn is my fave so far - not a huge fan of the cowgirl animation choice, but otherwise perfect minigame.

If you've not tried Thief yet I highly recommend it. It's inspiring design for nsfw esv. The only thing I do not like I think is it scraps using SL in favor of doing all animation itself, and you do not have access to SL's tools for aligning animations, which are a must for some custom bodies. Otherwise excellent mod.

I think you answered your own question there.

Even if you can't modify level, it doesn't matter, it simply be left as it is.

I think there are ways to run console commands via Papyrus + SKSE, so you could get around it that way.

ConsoleUtil 3 will allow it, I believe.

I don't think level is a very special stat, so it can probably just be set by inverting the way it's read in C++.

But that involves reverse engineering GetLevel, which is a whole can of worms.

This is tricky territory though. If I add stuff like that it's likely it's not going to suit everyone's role play style or what they think their character traits are. There's a reason why Gordon from half-life is a silent protagonist. It lets the player transpose themselves into the character no matter what they think their character should be. Though it is a bit odd at times.

Fallout 4 fell down very badly when it gave your character... character. I never gave much of a toss about 'my baby (Sean what it?). The game gave you like 30 seconds to build a connection. Then cue your character leaving the vault screaming "Sean. My baby! I'll find you!". Then I'm like 'Uuhh, look! Duct tape!'. I found that extremely off-putting.

Haven't had that complaint since about version 0.2. All I can suggest is:

1. Have you tried 'setstage ski_configmanagerinstance 1'

2. You don't have > 126/127 Mcms already? There is a limit.

If you can't figure it out, post a papyrus log of you starting a new game and sitting in the LAL cell for 20/30 seconds and I'll see if there's anything odd going on.

So true.

Most mods that try to narrate, whether it's inner or outer narrative, fail.

It's too hard to tell what's really happening from the few clues you can get.

Case in point, Apropos2 text. Works better than Apropos Classic. Still jarringly wrong a lot of the time.

Also, that thing where the PC says, "Please, get me home" after most sex scenes. I don't know what she means.

Or the "I can't believe..." Oh, after the nine billionth time, you can believe alright.

Those lines should come up a bit less, maybe?

It's weird to get them after consensual sex.

And even giving oral to toll guards is essentially consensual. You could always not leave.

I'm thinking that the direction for my next game will be to do away with rape-type mods altogether. There feels no need. If the PC's decay is internal, it's worse/better/more interesting.

There's plenty of sex in SLS without rapes. Even the kennel master you demand you choose to let him have his way, or you have to leave. That would be more effective than straight out rape.

It's just a case of not enough lines really. I was hoping people would come up with more but that hasn't happened sadly.

Somebody probably needs to enjoy editing audio for its own sake to do that...

I think there are close to enough lines, maybe? They just aren't showing up because mods are setting the Victim flag when they shouldn't.

When I was using the Mia's Lair sex, I got more lines about loving cock; I guess because victim not set.

The problem for me isn't repetition, which I become numb to, but inappropriate lines.

I should review how DF uses that flag; it's probably too much.

I would vote against removing victim tags on this kind of thing. (if we are voting that is... ?)

It's borderline I suppose. You are technically agreeing to it but it's not as if your want to really (at least most normal people). It's just you don't really have any choice.

Mind break and corruption is more interesting IMO, and it is severely lacking with ESV despite some failed attempts in several mods.

Agree 100% with this, it is very tricky indeed. I still think if executed well it would bring fresh dimension to SL mods. The narrative would have to avoid motive and self identity as best possible, which sounds impossible for inner monologue but I think it could be written well. It would just have to focus on mind break and corruption.

There are corruption and  mind break type stats out there but they typically get little attention. I think Lupine uses a mind break type stat in Devious Followers, and corruption seems more fit for a succubus type transformation mod.

I guess I see something where SL Arousal has companions... SLA is by far the best used stat type system in esv nsfw mods... I have been compiling notes for a while and will take a stab at papyrus & CE soon, maybe here is a good place to compare notes: SLA, Mind Break, and Corruption are my list for stats to use in a dialog based mod. Lewdness would be some kind of composite score of the other two...

I like the idea of a rabbit hole, where Mind Break is a fluid stat which changes with all sorts of things... But Corruption increasing would require specific encounters or dialogs, getting this score high would require effort or bad luck, lol.

I have ideas how all three would work together. Would be interested to know alternative ideas or thoughts you all might have on those stats, minigame type encounters, dialogs, and how other type loops might work.

PS: still like the idea of getting licenses take away would initiate a forced oral sequence, lol

Hunh. There isn't a single mention of survival anywhere in the logs. It's almost as if the esp isn't even enabled.

Can I get a screenshot of 'sqv _SLS_Main' please.

if you dont mind what pack of slave tats does this mod want? btw love the mod and thanks for the time you took on it

Whatever works in RapeTats. Survival doesn't require any tat pack in particular. It just tells rape tats to apply any tat it has.

If you open rapetats mcm, it should have a list of all set up tats. It can take a while for the Mcm to finish loading due to the number of tats. Try toggling an option to check if it has finished loading. (If it toggles ok and there's still no list of tats then you're missing a file)

If I remember correctly (and it's been a long time), but RapeTats doesn't come with any tats set up. There's an additional 'library' type download that contains a list of tats and what area of the body they should be applied to. I think that file needs to be installed somewhere in /my documents/

I'm not sure anymore but this file might have been posted in the thread by a user rather than the mod author.

There's been a few attempts at mods like this I think but they never seem to get off the ground. They're either not finished or just don't gain the mainstream support they need from other mods to be useful.
