It's that "World of Rudra" thingy. I figured I might give the redguard her own series in the blog thing, so I downloaded it to look for Hammerfell-ish locations. You'll probably have to google it to find a download, and it's chinese with a machine translation so it's Engrish is mind bogglingly bad, but it has some very nice screenshot locales =] .

I thought 'we' were leaving Falkreath but I turned to find out that it turned out to be just me. So back I go

Six borked on the veranda and one borked in the street. We started out from in front of the inn. Great start.

I had to walk out and then use the teleport thing from EFF to get them all. After a few trials and tribulations* we made it as far as Falkreath Watchtower where I discover that there are now only six of them.

*Including a firebolt/ball to the back of my head.

Except those steel arrows were loosed by someone who shouldn't be using a bow and there is no sign of the arrows used by my allegedly shit hot archer. Oh, I tell a lie. There is one sticking through his left calf.

The missing seventh follower turned when we entered the cave.

Wasn't bad little cave this. Lots of fungi used for cooking skooma, lots of ore veins, some decent enchanted stuff for disenchanting and the fights weren't too difficult.

Funny i downloaded Rudra last week ?? still have not cranked it up yet now must be a good time. ty!

 

EDIT: i remember now, the mega link is down. i was trawling for obscure stuff and Rudra came up but i could not get a dl. boo

Doing some testing with something that doesn't tend to be my cup of tea, but has turned out to be a lot of fun, and really well done.

It's Ulysses and the Sirens, by Herbert James Draper. 1909. "Ulysses" instead of Odysseus always makes me twitch a bit, similar to "Hercules," but it's a great painting.

I'm not sure if it's really proper to be using it, but I love this kind of stuff. I read the Iliad and the Odyssey quite often. Sirens should really be bird-like creatures rather than saucy mermaids, but I could never resist a saucy mermaid.

 

And yes, I'm a Manc. Most people tend to assume merManc is French. The truth is, I'm a Mancunian who swims... when not self-isolating!

After a hard first day of taking my first steps in the blacksmithing trade, I spend the misty evening just walking around town and hanging out by my tent beside the river in Riverwood... Just enjoying being a big thicc juicy Khajiit! ((I'm also looking into installing another mod to polish off my build))

Ulysses is just the Latin form of Odysseus so the image is indeed Odysseus and the Sirens. It is not as much of a distinction between that one mythical figure when using either of those two forms of the name as there is between a Greek Olympian and a Roman Olympian, especially Ares compared to Mars.

Oh yes, I understand the connection. It still irks me sometimes, perhaps irrationally - though rationality isn't something I can often lay claim to. After all, I still have very fond memories of Ulysses 31. If I can handle Odysseus in space with a light saber, I should really be ok with a Latin name change.
