Site questions, comments, and suggestions

What settings do in need for a Stream that shows me new and Updated Files from Skyrim and Skyrim SE.

The only ones i get are the new Files not the Updated ones.

Are there plans to fix the loading of all images of the blog section simultaneously? When you enter the blog section all blogs and the images are loaded which slows down everything since typically really large image posts are loaded, which means hundreds MB of have to be loaded.

 

Btw. the blog view count is still bugged. It only counts the number of visits of the overview page of each individua lblog  and not overview page + views of each entry like before.

i wish th ere was a way to go to my files and my blog from my profile page

i also wish you could see attachment downloads without going to the attachment page like before.

@daedal There is click and go to your profile then click see my activity on the left hand side you'll find a tab for files - file comments and file reviews. Towards the bottom of that same page you'll also find a blog entries and blog comments.

True. However it could be interesting (and possibly not too hard to do ?) to allow users to choose which tab («About me »« Blogs »« Activity») they'd want to be displayed first on their profile. The activity IMO isn't the worthiest choice for users with more worked-upon content (modders, story telling bloggers, etc.).

I was about to post my characters at 'Show Your Skyrim Counterpart III' thread, however I realized that most of the images are hidden. Is this a part of rule? I was unable to find anything about it at the site rule thread, so I was wondering if there's something I'm missing.

That's called the spoiler tag the old site had it as well most are suppose to use it for large pictures so that people don't have to scroll forever to get past someones pictures. The spoiler tag is also now found under the eyeball next to the smiley face.

I'm not sure if this the place to post this, but is there a way to remove / make invisible red (unavailable) content from a download thread? There's like an entire page of these entries on the Download/Skyrim section and it's pretty much in the way. Since all the files have "WhickedWhims" in their name I guess someone misplaced some Sims 4 content.

Me again Blog editing issues, again This time was even worst. I assume it's not the priority for fixing, but if I have to beg you to fix it I will:

That feature was on the old site, it made searching the downloads so much eaiser

Check you the custom sort options on the top right. You can setup things to find what you want, from last visited, commented, posted thread etc. Might have that option not sure.

Just commenting before CPU or someone else has the ability to firmly answer your question... (since at the time of posting your post is 12 hours old

What are you claiming as blog editing issues? Unless it's different in some way compared to other post editors, there is nothing I can do. The editor is simply the editor, and there is nothing I can do about that. No amount of complaining about lack of BBCode or whatever will change that. It's the way it is. For better or worse.

 

 

I do recognize that there is a loading issue when viewing the blog index, with it loading all images for all blogs on that page... This is a tricky problem I can't easily solve, but I am digging for a solution here. But for now, I'm unable to find a pre-existing solution to this, and thus must make my own. Clearly, the blog system wasn't intended for "comics" or the like that LL members have been using it for. I'm going to have to create a custom plugin in order to deal with the excessive image load on the blog index. But it's simply not a priority. I have to get SexLab 1.63 out soon for two versions of the same game. So rather busy now x.x

So you're saying toggling the forum's engine off when editing can't reasonably be done ? If yes, then it's a pity ; but I guess will have to get-on with it "for the better or for the worse" as you say.

Thanks for taking it in consideration ; that's the only reason people repeatdly ask for things : they're not sure they've been heard. Now that we know you are aware of it : no problem, we can wait.

Thanks for the answer, Ashal. I'm not talking about posting videos and pictures. I'm talking abut posting plain text. "Copy" and "Paste" options from Word directly into the entry changes line spacing, font size (makes it smaller) and reordering the sentences. When increasing font size from 12 to 16, the site moves certain paragraphs up to the front and changes the order. I "complained" about it several times. I'm not using spoilers or BBCode when posting plain text. In comparison with the old site that worked perfectly with text entries, the new site has very serious issues.

 

But, OK. I assumed correctly that blog room isn't priority. I respect your priorities. I just wanted to know if there is a way to fix it since once I post my text blog entry I spend a lot of time to place the messed text in the right order. Wish you Happy new year.

Not that I am apart of this. .. however, I believe Ashal does want to fix some of the issues (if possible) and just need some info. I didn't see details that would help narrow down the issue earlier. I do know you posted a few times about this (and I thought it was taken care of )

 

So, what I would do in this case would be to explain in detail (like what you did) and if necessary provide some screen captures of the changes and point them out so that he can see and understand the issue. Then, he might be able to fix it. So far, any issues, problems, or such that I have had, have been fix in a timely manner by someone be it a moderator or Ashal himself, however, sometimes there are delays and in hindsight, it was due to me not being as clear and allowing some level of confusion as to what I wanted fix or done. Again, not telling you what to do, I am only posting this to try to help you, help Ashal at least understand the issue. I have helped your Elf Prince with different issues and think he would appreciate my trying to help you in his absence. In any case, take care and have a good holiday!

 

If there are problems with the blog.. I know I want it fixed. I go there and read your as well as your Elf Prince blogs from time to time when I get a chance. I don't what the process slowed down or have you or Elf Prince stop posting blogs because of some issues if they can be resolved.

Try capturing a before (original text from where you are making it) and the results that happen on the Blog forum... That might give some ideas. Then some closer captures of the formatting issues you are experiencing. That would be what I'd suggest (and do if I had the same issues)

You do have a point that someone could do the same as you described .... however, they might not experience the same issues and for Ashal or the moderators, they might not have the time. In this case, perhaps you could send them a text in a PM or post it so that they can try it themselves. ? That is the best I have. Sorry it isn't much more. I don't do blogs so I don't know what the issue is or have anything to copy paste.

I've had a lot of them this evening (the Cloudflare 502 page)
