Several issues

 

- Unwanted kidnappers spawn, e.g. a skeever appears with wolves even with MNC off

I think that this may be the same thing that draws in all the potential rapists in range, there has been discussion of adding a slider to adjust the radius of the search - the skeever was just nearby and got caught in the sweep

 

- The mod does not respect my settings for who gets kidnapped with me. No matter who I use the dialogue on, it's ignored and random npcs are chosen

I think that the dialogs are for selecting kidnap victims for you to rescue, afaik it never influenced who got kidnapped with me

- Most of the time my fellow victims are male and just sit there

There is an MCM slider that by default is set to "female" that you need to switch to "both" for males to get picked too, afaik the only way to influence who gets picked as a fellow victim is to have a bunch of SLEN-made lovers, and that's just a priority (I think)

- Kidnappers don't stop attacking after I'm subdued and sometimes are still hostile after I'm teleported

- After a couple of sex acts the game crashes consistently, this doesn't happen with sex anywhere else

 

When it comes to crashes I have had this too. I don't really understand how any of this stuff works well enough to be able to figure out things, but from reading this thread it seems likely that it has to do with script-load vs your computer's capacity to handle scripts - in my case I have been discovering that my computer isn't as super-duper as I thought when I got it.

So, for whatever reason my vampires aren't rapists. I can get kidnapped by anything else and scenes go just fine, but if i get kidnapped by vampires, they just stand there pleasantly and do nothing, no rape scenes or anything just hanging out like i'm one of the gang. Not entirely sure why.

Well, under the victim selector it says the priority is specified > follower > friend or something like that. I can't see any other thing that comes under "specified"

Moreover unchecking all of the fellow victims still spawns 3 randomly when kidnapped. It seems that these settings just don't work at all.

 

Yeah I see now why the males do nothing, but then I'm not terribly interested in male victims. It would be nice, I think, to have a male/female/both victim spawn setting, not just for who gets raped. As well as the above settings working too.

 

I do have my share of script related crashes here and there, but haven't had a sex-related one in a long time, and it's odd that I can have public sex in a town with several scripts and events going off but it'll crash in a small cave or room.

Like the update overall, but I'm getting spawns of named NPCs that appear later in the game, such as Rulindil showing up while I'm level 2, never been to Solitude, and haven't done the Thalmor Embassy quest yet. Granted, having to kill him might not break the game, but it just seems like it should limited to unnamed characters for kidnappers to make sure someone that could be needed later doesn't get killed too soon. I mean, what if it had spawned Elenwen instead?

 

And yeah, I'm getting spawns for kidnappers that later quests depend on. So fighting the kidnappers off isn't an option since if the NPC is essential or protected, they just get up and remain hostile after the knock down. If I'm trying to free myself after the kidnapping, then I have to kill them and it's the same problem. And if I kill them to get away, then I'll end up with a quest that can't be completed later.

 

At this point, the only option I've found is to just run until they finally stop following me.

 

I've also noticed that if you don't attack your kidnappers before being released, the quest to recover your items no longer has a quest marker, so finding your items is likely impossible since you have no way to find the npc that has your items. But getting help from the companion of theives guild causes them to bring the kidnapper to you.

i can confirm what i read in the posts above.

lydia as follower sometimes is fellow victim, but mostly not. also without aft. fellow victims are mostly men, but not always.

vampires stand there doing nothing, just their servants are busy raping

often a new sexanimation starts before the old one has ended, mostly with the same raper

quests like kidnapped revenge stay in the journal if the pc get ported out before the kidnapper was killed.

 

i had no named npc as raper so far. if this really happens then this mod should not be played in a serious game until solved.

well i guess i will wait a bit with this mod.

Perhaps a better way to handle the kidnappings would be to spawn generic NPC's which will then stop the problems with named NPC's or strange effects like Wolves and Skeevers.

 

They'll need to be persistent until the pc's gear is recovered or lost forever when they can then be despawned. If they are not persistant then there's a chance they would despawn before the pc could recover their stuff (you see this on odd occasions with robberies in DCL and Defeat if you lose in a random encounter or the NPC later dies)

You don't have to kill the kidnapper. Just negotiate via the Thieves Guild. Or use the unequip only option.

So in addition to not really being able to clear the Revenge quest, whenever I'm kidnapped again and brought back to the Abandoned shack, the kidnappers from the previous abduction are still there. The new kidnappers and old ones usually start fighting.

Nice idea, but couldnt get a single ambush within hours of this installed. I put the settings to 200% chance, still nothing. Even the option to force trigger an ambush did nothing..

I've just tested the 4.0.2 version. I got kidnapped in the daylight in Riften (almost immediately after starting a new game) even though I chose 80% penalty for walled cities. I chose unequipped version but still got the message that my items were stolen by my kidnapper :(

Ye that happens because the mod is checking still while you are busy setting up everything while inside then suddenly you get kidnapped for check it made a while back. And don't worry if you have unequip enabled your stuff is not gone even if it says it was stolen. Just look in your inventory:)

same problem here, but force triggerin worked after the second time or so...

When I get kidnapped, they just rape me and i never black out even though I have the exhaustion setting to the lowest and I also have simple slavery on, which never triggers even on 100%. Does anyone know how to help?

What's your stamina?

 

Simple Slavery won't trigger until you pass out.

 

Btw, you can also fight back or escape before passing out.

Do you always need to get revenge on a kidnapper? I have it set to unequip only, so I didn't really lose anything. Can I abandon the revenge quest, or is there any negative repercussions from ignoring it?

 

No you don't have to get revenge. You can safely ignore it.

 

Just untick "Revenge Quest" in the "Avoid Kidnaps During" section of the MCM. I can then be kidnapped again and the revenge quest will be updated.

Yes, you'll need a setstage command unless there's some sort of expiry timer to remove it

Yeah, I recommend not using any mods that spawn enemies dynamically on top on you with Kidnapped.

 

At least for now, there are few ways that I can deal with this, but they are not the most performance-efficient (checking every few seconds to make sure that the player is not in combat is a bit of a waste of resource, especially for people that don't use dynamic spawn mod). I may add a MCM button for people that use dynamical spawns to 'reharmonize' them or something.

This is a fun mod with lots of potential, but there's a few pretty glaring issues that stand out.

 

-The way it pulls in humanoid attackers is a little weird. It pulls in actual NPCs, some may be quest related, some may just be villagers. Either way, at least one of them is essential (which I understand is required), but that makes it pretty impossible to fight them off. You just have to run rather than dodge the KO blow and then fight back. I've had to completely disable city kidnapping because it bugs out with a constantly hostile, essential NPC in the town.

 

-Tying into the previous point, I've also had to completely disable the rescue chance. The one time it triggered during the kidnapping, some of the attackers were essential and the rescuer could never beat them, thus soft-locking me.

 

-Specifying kidnap victims seems a little wonky. I've specified my follower (it's a follower from a mod, granted), and she rarely comes along during the kidnapping. Usually random NPCs instead. In fact, some times she's in the room and has attacker dialog, standing and laughing with them.

 

-I've had to do a full, clean save re-install of the mod before because for some reason it stopped triggering automatically (though I could force trigger) and it plagued my save with CTDs on load, which resolved on the re-install.

 

Those are really the only big things I've noticed. I do like the mod so far and I hope to see it grow. I have one quality of life suggestion that would be nice: give the option to have the follower automatically dismissed once you're kidnapped. Or at least have their inventory taken as well.

Still get ambush events even when I am naked and have the nude option to prevent ambushed turned on.  Also, still got an ambush even when I disabled the kidnapping event.  Maybe a background script was already running?
