I feel like I'm going to lose her and I don't know what to do with myself. I feel like it's all my fault.

Perhaps it is, or perhaps not.   Communication is always key in these situations.   Also, advice from the 80s might help too (the lyrics are pretty good so feel free to mute it):

I should have know this was going to happen, I was talking about my cat. She's not doing so good. Hopefully the vet and I can make her better. I like the song though, thank you.

Ah,  yes....that  does   change things  a bit.   I also hope that you get a good prognosis, as losing a pet is  not easy.      At least you like the song, and hopefully got a little humor over my rush to assume that I know what I am talking about.

I will hate Jeff Bezos just a tiny bit less if he really does take Capt Kirk into space before he dies.

Yeah, you know what? If the Jeff Bezos's of the world wanted to do something really cool for humanity, they'd buy the ips of older popular games and release the source code rather than just pull a publicity stunt here and there. Fucking literally none of us that aren't filthy rich will ever take a space flight in the next 20 yrs or more and even then it will be in coach. Do you feel the screws tightening down yet?

No. I do not feel any screws tightening. I more feel that some people have a wretchedly skewed sense of priority. Personally, I can think of more than a few things better than free source code for video games that wealthy could do with their money... but that's just me.

True enough I suppose and I did think of that. But since they ain't gonna feed the poor or give us affordable spaceship rides off this rock, the least they could do is give us some free games to mod.

Facebook is dying as we speak... Good god i love this timeline.

Throttling users because of wrong-think and jacking the algorithms to attract tweenie girls with low self-esteem has come back to bite them in the ass.  Tiktok and Twitter need to be next.
