KoolHndLuke Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Trying to get people to do their fucking job over the phone or the internet. They blow you off half the time- even on shit that's important to you- because they can't be bothered to do what they're supposed to or refer you to someone that can help. This ties in with online courses as well because these "teachers" make plenty of fucking mistakes and it's hell to get them to correct shit. Who suffers? The fucking students. Used to handle this shit by going to where they work and getting up in their face- remarkably effective I might add. But thanks to the coof, I can't hardly do that anymore because the employees work from home most of the time. What we have, ladies and gents, is nothing but widespread fucking off and unaccountability for everyone in a position of responsibility. Except for us naturally that have to pay our bills or else.

Except for us naturally that have to pay our bills or else. Just goes to show the sheer level of "don't give a shit unless I absolutely, positively, must"-edness that exists in this world. Then again, I've seen plenty and then some examples of that with the whole "goofing off at work" shit posted on the internet. I'm quite sure not a single one of these employers are paying these fucks to waste said employer's time and money by NOT doing what the employer is paying them to do. The fucking off has always been a problem. It's the lack of accountability that's bringing it to a head.

I learned a long time ago that the only way to get some people off their ass and to do their job is to basically threaten them by showing up in person to show them you mean business. Almost got in some trouble a few times cause I tried that with the wrong people- like cops. But, most of the time it works really well because they can't blow you off when you're standing right there in front of them with a polite but serious (and slightly hostile) demeanor.
MrEsturk Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 Just how many times am I going to have to remind Steam that I don't want keyboard commands assigned to my gamepad? I blanked those settings out 20+ times at this point for a reason Steam, please stop resetting them back because apparently you think you know what settings I want better than I do. God forbid I play one of my nonSteam games without having to shutdown the Steam browser first because it insists on doubling up my controller button presses as a bunch of disruptive keyboard input.
Darkpig Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Suicide Squad 2 is being planned and it is making me contemplate committing suicide given how bad the last one was. Guess I could not watch it but my friends have terrible taste so I'll likely end up watching it anyway. *grumble* *grumble*

If they start to participate... then you are fucked... royally fucked as they will start bringing tons of shit movies and expect you to join in. This only works for serious movie viewers.
---nikoli Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 The city, in it's infinite wisdom, has decided to tear up my street again. This is the eighth time in the last five years they've done this, and if it goes as well as the previous times, it will take them a minimum of a month to complete. They tore through my cable and internet, so rather than burn up my phones hotspot, I went to my local library to borrow one of the hotspots they loan out. Because of the Corona virus apparently school children are now using them, so they've slapped a 'strict' viewing ban on them for the first time. -- This site isn't viewable with it, nor are about half the sites I visit. What amazes me is with their strict ban, I can still watch a real person have their head literally blown off with a shotgun or see an individual be eviscerated in graphic HD bloody slow motion detail yet I can't see so much as a blurry side boob without the moral police deciding it's too much skin and it might damage my delicate psyche. I am in utter awe that the powers that be here in America have no issues with allowing 'children' to watch a person be tortured and/or be brutally murdered yet still have a such a hangup about seeing skin.

Ah yes, the pulic sector efficiency in action. My street has been opened up too, but they seem to after the... rain water sewers, whatever you call them. No disruptions so far. Though during the summer another such operation caused several power outages at the workplace, which wreaked havoc on the servers. You might ask why we have no UPS systems. I'd like know too. Still don't have them. I quess once again a disaster is needed first

The first time they replaced a 10cm pipe with a 15cm pipe the next year whey went up to 20cm, year after that, 25cm. Adding 5cm in size every time they tear up the road. If they just would have laid a 100cm pipe in the first place they wouldn't have to tear the ground up for the next 50 years. I guess the city employees wouldn't be able to justify keeping their jobs and exorbitant paychecks if they actually did the job correctly the first time. We've got one road here that has been under reconstruction in one section or another constantly since the early 80's. Fortunately I don't have to use it that often... Though my personal favorite is a tossup between them using a water soluble glue to cement over 2 miles of sewer pipe together or them putting barricades and caution markers out on the street/freeway, tying up traffic, and then not starting the project for at least 6 months.

gregathit Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 I love how utterly incompetent these so called experts fucking are. So who are these imbecile experts and what studies have they published? Oh, you don't have that? So in addition to not providing any evidence WHATSOEVER to back up your claims, you demonstrate what utter hacks you are to the field of journalism. And then these hacks wonder why people holler "fake news" at them. What a shit show. Good on the mother for saying FUCK YOU and pulling her kids. Silence reinforces something. WTF? This is the weakest excuse to back up a claim that you can possibly get. Seriously. And don't even get me started on talking to 3 and 4 year olds about complicated subjects. You just demonstrated that you don't know shit about kids right there. Holy fuck. Lastly, notice how the teacher wasn't fired. The weak ass apology that she would spend more "effort" to screen things she showed to kids. What I want to know is what subject was she teaching that this needed to be brought up in? The only "sorry" the teacher and principle actually felt was sorry they were caught. Public schools need to be closed. Period.
