But thats not true. Twitch was an employer of Dr Disrespect and that places certain expectations on them.
You cant get fired just like that, employer has to state some reason for cancelling your contract, give you some grace period etc. Especially jarring given how Disrespect isnt some 10sub scrub account but someone who made shitload of money for Twitch during his years.. I bet that deer dude has something to do with it.

Cant wait for Trump to actually go through with his plans to remove the platform status from Twitter and rest of that sjw infested shitholes.

Yeah I'm looking forward to those malcontents getting a much deserved atomic warhead up their ass to.  As for Dr. Disrespect, he could in theory pull the Federal Labor Commission in on the action.  According to labor laws, a company is required BY LAW to be transparent on reasons for termination, you can't just sit on it.  It can result in a company paying an extremely hefty fine or forced into Chapter 11.

I'm not sure if being a twitch partner is an employer - employee relationship in a legal sense. They usually avoid such things because they want to be able to terminate any sort of contract on their terms whenever they want. That's why many rules regarding the allowed content and behavior are intentionally vague. Since most ToS are bullshit you could potentially sue them but good luck taking on a giant like Amazon.

I agree.... It is more like a contractor or per diem or something else along those lines.  You can sue, but unless there is some clear violation etc.. you are likely wasting time.

Well that makes this thing even more of a bullshit because once again all expectations of professionalism are on the streamer and the giant corporation is removed from any blame or duties. As always its all on the small guy.

And i fucking hate it.

The amount of general bad luck some members of my family have. I get that my relatives aren't exactly young, but you broke an arm and a leg after falling less than 3 feet? WTF!

Never challenge worse.  I know a waitress that was 22 who suffered a compound leg fracture from a fall of one step.  Less than 7".  Course she was drunk, but hey, no one is perfect.  LOL!

Yikes, talk about coming down wrong.  I know he wasn't drunk (he was at work) but the level of injury just seems way out of proportion to falling on a tile floor.

Race Baiting - thinking about the 'chess' problem....

If I want my TV screen to be all black, I have to turn the brightness down completely - I guess this makes TV's racist.

Not really. TVs sometimes display a white screen.... Not racist...

But an equal opportunity offender with their micro aggression.. Dam TV's. Why can't they just stick to grey screens?  :P

Just fucking die already, you flaming cunts.

Personally I'd like to see them get a taste of what China, Russia, North Korea or Iran would do to people like them, but honestly the politicians going out and doing photo ops with them or pitching a fit when the rest of the gov't tries to step in and stop things (the actual job of governments) pisses me off more.  As GrimReaper said, it has just past the point of being tiresome.

In the US we have moved way beyond that to digital porn recording

I might not be able to work my former field of work, or possibly any field of work anymore. And now I'm burned out on gaming, too. ?

Sorry to hear about your troubles with work. Hope things work out for your.

As for the gaming.. I usually change types of games to help with the game burn out. If I am mostly playing FPS.. then I use logic games, puzzle games or building games like Sims City, Civ 6 or something like that.. then I usually get better.Maybe that might help.

This here gets under my skin.

It must suck being a child now a days....  There are no spankings, or other forms of physical discipline, and you only get to be one for a few years.....

Where is child services when you need them?  THIS is what they were created for.  As for the parents, guess who wasn't spanked as a child.  Yep.  Whipping that ass worked.  Why we stopped I'll never understand.

I understand, but I don't agree: To prevent child abuse a 'blanket' plan was introduced. If NO ONE can touch their child, then any form of it is illegal, making the court cases clean and simple - less work to do the messy job. So society as a whole suffers because a few assholes ruined it for the majority - assholes whom abused their children, and assholes whom didn't want to get their hands dirty stopping it. This 'system' of handling things has spread, in an attempt to make everything black and white in a world which is more gray.

I know the need for legal rulings is to set precedent but if this were the 'end-all' there wouldn't be challenges to those rulings.

While I get what you are saying, I strongly disagree.  I think the whole argument of child abuse was a myth.  People who abuse their children don't spank them.  They beat them.  There is a vast difference that is quite cut and dried.  A switch or belt to ones ass is a spanking.  Cuts and Bruises on arms, legs, the torso or the face is abuse.  A quick examination is all one would need.  I was spanked as a kid.  Did I like it then.........hell to the fuck NO!  Do I appreciate it now......you bet your ass I do.  Respect for authority is an important lesson to learn.  That actions have consequences is another.  I learned I can do whatever in the fuck I want........I just have to pay for it.  The paying for it part is what stops you from going full retard.

This is the crux of that situation, as I've had my face slapped, and ass beat. Depending on the situation I put my parents in, this emotionally charged event never plays out with a scientifically perfect amount of force every time. This could explain why 'things could get carried away', without actually being considered an abuse event, yet still bear the markings of said abuse. Wading through the mess, including a child not wanting to press charges like an abused spouse, mixed with a vindictive child looking to get revenge on a parent just adds to the problem law enforcement and the legal system faced - so just make it ALL illegal - there, done!

It's not the solution we needed, but it's the one we got.

I agree.  Life is sloppy.  However, spanking is not something one should do in the heat of the moment.  The worst thing to me was my folks would tell me what I did wrong, why I was being spanked and only then proceed to spank me.  And it wasn't one or two wacks to the bottom.  The first and last time my mother ever slapped me was when I was in my thirties.  I said something I should not have and I think she slapped me out of sheer shock.  She was heck've embarrassed about doing it and tried apologizing at least a dozen times.  I deserved the smack and to be quite honest, I laughed my ass off once I got over the shock of it after a couple of seconds.  Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

It will date me......but spanking was still a thing when I was in grade school.  I'm not proud of it, but I think I got more swats than the rest of the class put together.  I certainly didn't go looking for trouble.......it just seemed to find me quite easily and very regularly.  LOL!

But yeah, the one or two deals of abuse are not a reason to drop it completely.  If that was the case then why is society still driving cars?  Don't you know that there are folks who drive drunk?  So ban all cars.  Same stupid mentality.  The problem is decent folks don't tend to fight stuff when they should.  Then by the time they realize they need to fight.......it is too late.
