Blackness blackness is... Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Oh wow, the new update looks neat! Gotta test the dollification part, it sounds intriguing in a strangely positive way. I have to admit that I love the fact, that you search everywhere to get new ideas. Other people might have burned out after Version 3 was new deviously scary is what it sounds.

(One question about soliciation though: would it be possible to set the values of payment in intervals of 1? Or between two fixed numbers, i.e. not leveled? I love the fact that it is random and that drugging, etc. factor into the payment, but sometimes it gets a bit much in terms of payment at high levels.)

Performance savings mode sounds <3. I'm afraid I'm going to again ask this question I so frequently do everytime a new patch comes out. Sufficient to just ensure character is not in bondage or a DCUR quest before updating, or is a cleaned save a good idea? (Edit: Of course a clean save is needed. >_< Common sense should tell me that given the extent of the changes and script rewrites) (Edit: Also, any difference in updating if we have optional mods like Estrus Chaurus+ installed? Or no extra steps needed?)

Started a new game and everything...nothing Same problem, The log says: [DCUR] Looted a container. [DCUR] Checking for Cursed Loot event. [DCUR] - Traps are in cooldown, event aborted! However the cooldown is set to 0. I still can find keys and lucky charms.

Crazy Natalie Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 I've gone back to 4.8 which is still fine. Turned on debug messages, it gets to initialising libraries, and looting bandit/barrel (code number whatever), and that's it. No further.

Mez558 Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Some I've been using 4.6 since I didn't want spud headed children. Ran into a bug with the cursed collar quest which, up until then, I was enjoying. Seems the Slave belt overwrites it so you can't equip the cursed belt. Or maybe that's as intended and you need to lose the slave belt first, I don't know anyway... I see a new version is here and figure, what the hell. I start disabling RCOTS Plugins which makes my saves now unusable. Start a new game...Still getting the same message. Is it looking to see if RCOTS is enabled or is just looking for it in the data folder? I'd rather not uninstall it if I can avoid it, I might want to use some older save games... Or just might find my hatred of spudheads is greater than the chance of things going horribly wrong when looting chests. Any of the other RCOTS users found this, did you have to remove the mod completely or did disabling the plugins work? I'm playing a Ningheim, so not a vanilla race but not a child race either. Edit: Tried uninstalling it completely and now game CTD's something left somewhere that requires it, seeing that there are some issues with 4.9 I will go back to 4.6 for a bit. Think I might need a full reinstall, it's long over due, tbh. In the mean time I think I will bug Glouf to make a standalone NPC replacer.

Maybe it's just zero cooldown having an issue? Standard is 1 hour. I just set it to 0 after nothing else helped. And I even ran around in the game quite a while...

ForestElf Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Yeah, after reading all this, i m gonna wait for a bugfix release. Question: What does this mean exactly? I mean, what is a "periodic event?". It means the Cursed Loot won't trigger as much or what? - Added: "Performance Savings Mode" - if you are running a lot of scripting intensive mods you want to run Cursed Loot alongside with, you can use this setting to tell Cursed Loot to take it easy on the Papyrus resources. This mode will drastically reduce the frequency of periodic events.
